goodhelmet
If Big Dave turned heel would it change anything?! At least him getting shit on in that case would work to their advantage. I never believed in X-Pac heat in the case of X-Pac, but Batista is getting complete X-Pac heat right now. He is getting Same old Shit heat because he is fighting for the world title. The crowd believes that Bryan should be fighting for the title. If Bryan or Cesaro would win tonight. Batista wouldn't get the negative reaction. It is that the crowd knows he is slotted against Orton and they want some new blood fighting for that belt. When Orton and Cena fought Cesaro or Punk or Wyatts or whoever, they don't get that shit reaction. They get it when the WWE insists on putting the same old guys against each other. hammerva
You know you are in trouble as a babyface when Albert Del Rio is getting cheered. There is no reason to care much less root for Del Rio right now.
Russellmania
Let's play devil's advocate for a minute here. How much business do we think they lose by sticking with Orton/Batista as the title match at Mania rather than calling an audible. The gate will be the same. Will the buyrate be markedly different with Bryan or someone else in the title match? The crowd reactions and chants are likely going to make it an embarrassing night for a bunch of the performers. But what is the impact on dollars and cents? At Mania? None. Going forward after that... depends how they book him. If they go with Batista/Orton, then a logical step in that process is Bryan losing tonight (and Orton winning). If they go ahead with that then what impact does that have on the launch of the Network?
The Chief
I actually thought Del Rio looked good and vicious in that match. They need to end this Batista experiment. This is getting embarrassing now.
KrisZ
Like I said on Twitter they should go full heel with Dave so he can get cheered

Loss
If there's a positive from it, it's that the heat is on a wrestler more than the promotion. I think there's some on the promotion also, but still ... there's a lot on Batista. There's at least something they can do with that if they choose to do something with that. Dylan Waco
I actually liked Del Rio v. Batista, but at this point they pretty much have to make Big Dave the official corporate champion or he will end up being the biggest waste in recent memory
goodhelmet
Want to amend that Del Rio looked good. I think there is a place for Big Dave but not the way they are booking him in the current environment.
Russellmania
The most frustrating thing about this Batista/Orton situation is that Heel Batista vs. Bryan is right there and would accomplish everything they need to accomplish. And as a match/feud I think it could be quite good, almost like a modern Brock/Eddie.

Steenalized
There are 24 one on one combinations I want to see in this match. None of them involve Orton
goodhelmet
In a perfect world, Cesaro vs. Daniel Bryan would be the final two. I will laugh my ass off if it ends up being Orton vs. Cena.
The Chief
It's interesting because Batista vs. Del Rio was just a match. There were no title implications and he wasn't taking anybody's "spot." I understand Big Dave getting booed at the Rumble because it was viewed as him taking Bryan's place. But this was just a traditional face vs. heel match, right down to the face getting jumped at the beginning. So this is the first time we've really seen Big Dave taken on his own merits.... and the crowd shits all over him. I don't think there's anything they can do at this stage to salvage his babyface character.

Matt D
It's such a little thing but the way Cesaro perfectly staggered into position to take the Shoulder block off the top was really good. It was so believable for him to land like he did and then end up right in position.
Cobra Commander
the best trolling finish would be for Bryan/Cesaro/Orton to be the final 3, then Bryan/Cesaro pin each other so Orton retains. But yeah... no solid idea where this goes, but Orton probably retains
