Hawkeye12 Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 Didn't he make a few appearances in WCW in 98 or 99? I don't think he got in the ring but I have a memory of seeing him on Thunder once, being interviewed from one of the front rows. No, he didn't talk I don't think, he couldn't. It was a "Hey, look who's here !" moment. Sable did it too when Russo was in charge (or maybe they were together, but I doubt it), but they could not use her anyway. DUMBFUCKERY. Mero had a confrontation with Tank Abbott in 2000 when he was seated in the front row. Quote
El-P Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 Mero had a confrontation with Tank Abbott in 2000 when he was seated in the front row. And you wonder why no-one remembers about it ? sek69 Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 In other news, the latest content drop is 2008 Raws, so this might be filling in the remaining gaps. Quote
Migs Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 In other news, the latest content drop is 2008 Raws, so this might be filling in the remaining gaps. I had been watching some of the Punk stuff from 2008 recently. It really re-enforces how much the look of the top of the card has changed over the last 10 years. Punk looked small against basically everyone he faced; now Balor, Rollins, etc. can stand up to everybody. Quote
Migs Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Also, it appears a 2009 episode was just added as well, so that year's probably coming next. Quote
Migs Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 Related - I can't believe they still don't have a feature for making playlists. Insane. They have years of TV and no good way for someone to watch, say, all the Sting matches if they get obsessed with him. Quote
iamthedoctor Posted September 23, 2016 Report Posted September 23, 2016 New Pat Patterson documentary "I DID IT MY WAY" released a few days ago on youtube. NOT on the WWE network but its done by WWE. Why was Pat Patterson appreciation night not shown on the WWE network? Quote
Johnny Sorrow Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 New Ride Along pretty much stinks. A lot of fake drama between JBL, Cole, and Byron and The Flairs just being regular and dull. A couple of good stories but overall it's not good. On the flip side, the new Table For Three with Show, Kane, and Mark Henry was fucking great and I want to see everything filmed for it besides what was edited into the tight 20 minutes. They mentioned an incident where a young Mark Henry was gonna beat up Shawn Micheals and the whole Kliq that was cooled off. Anyone know the whole story? That sounds fascinating. Also, Show and Mark are putting over Kane as being the smartest guy in wrestling, like..actual intelligence, not just the business. And Kane says, "Yeah, but look at the competition." 😆 Quote
sek69 Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 I'd wager everyone who wasn't in the Kliq wanted to beat up Shawn at some point during that time. I watched the beginning of the Ride Along episode and it was clear Ric didn't want to be there and was taking one for the team for his daughter. Quote
Johnny Sorrow Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 The thing was, they were laughing at the fact that Mark would have beaten all of them up, and he was laughing at the fact that if he had done it he wouldn't be there now. Oh and apparently , Paul Bearer was an old school ribber that they hated while loving him. Quote
EricR Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 Do they have any plans to upload any WCW Saturday Night, Velocity, Sunday Night Heat, etc. Any of the B/C Show stuff? Quote
Lee Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 Saturday Night I think would be the most likely since they already uploaded all those World Championship Wrestling shows. It'll be interesting to see where they go once they finish the Raw and SmackDown archives, back to Prime Time I'd guess? Quote

SteveJRogers Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 Do they have any plans to upload any WCW Saturday Night, Velocity, Sunday Night Heat, etc. Any of the B/C Show stuff? Speaking of Heat, I'd wish they upload all the various pre-Network pre-PPV events that have filmed matches for. As well as various "Colosseum Video" extras from past PPVs. Quote
C.S. Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 I watched the new episodes of Ride Along and Table For 3 the other night. Ride Along: This is even more obviously fake than it was before. Charlotte acted like a spoiled brat and gave Ric the silent treatment for 25 minutes (I believe this was filmed right before she turned on him) while JBL and Cole were completely cruel cunts to Byron, who is always smiling, happy, positive, and ready to his job. While I realize there's no way some of what happened could be real, their animosity toward him didn't seem entirely faked to me. JBL and Cole came across as bullies. #BeAStar! Table For 3: Nothing special, but some fun road stories. Poor Mark Henry comes across as really dimwitted. Quote
Grimmas Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 I'm actually still waiting for something they promised from day one, all of the home videos. Quote
MikeCampbell Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 I wonder if it's just a coincidence that the one Raw from 1/09 that they didn't upload was the one from Chicago with the Regal/Punk IC Title change? Quote
Stiva Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 I wonder if it's just a coincidence that the one Raw from 1/09 that they didn't upload was the one from Chicago with the Regal/Punk IC Title change? They tend to jump around with the uploads but I believe they've uploaded Punk's MITB win from 08 and that episode pretty much revolved around him. Quote
SteveJRogers Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 One of their live feed filler segments is on classic promos, and The Pipe Bomb is among the images in its title card sequence. Punk hasn't been scrubbed by any means. Quote
Lee Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 I'm actually still waiting for something they promised from day one, all of the home videos. I don't think we'll ever actually get all of them, because there's at least one tape with Japanese matches on it. I suppose they could always license it, but I figure they'd just skip that one. Quote
Johnny Sorrow Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 How the fuck does Henry come off as dimwitted? Because I've heard enough real interviews that prove he's anything but. And he doesn't at all on that show. One story about getting towns mixed up, while the other two GTS mention similar events that happened to them and therefore must happens now and then isn't "dim". sek69 Posted October 4, 2016 Report Posted October 4, 2016 For the folks who were upset about it, the Daniel Bryan collection is back up and watchable. It and the Shane collection disappeared and both are back now. Quote
Grimmas Posted October 8, 2016 Report Posted October 8, 2016 WTF? tonight WOR Meltzer reported WWE is highly considering a multiple tiered network subscription. Free, 4.99, 9.99, and 14.99. The 14.99 would allow subscribers to vote for the HOF every year, and WWE is working on deals with ROH and TNA to stream their content on the network. Quote
flyonthewall2983 Posted October 8, 2016 Report Posted October 8, 2016 Those are reasonable options. Make the free version just a stream of the live network, 4.99 for limited access to the On-Demand content, 9.99 for everything, and 14.99 for the HOF vote. Though I would never take the HOF option, it would be a wasted vote and a waste of money. Quote

The 5 dollars extra would be more for TNA/ROH, probably EVOLVE and PROGRESS streams and the HOF vote just an added bonus. Quote
