Watching a Best of Raw from April '99 and Cornette is doing commentary instead of Lawler. I forget, is that when he was filming Man On The Moon?

I actually came here to ask this exact question. I couldn't put an exact time or date on what Lawler could have been doing. I'm guessing Man on the Moon or he was sick. That was an interesting episode of Raw. I forgot how insanely paced 1999 shows were, they honestly didn't give the viewer two seconds to breath before cutting to the back, cutting to a vignette or cutting to the next match.

Looks like the schedule is such that an old RAW is on each morning before work. May have to make that my morning coffee viewing. Turned it on this morning to see Shawn vs Marty for the IC belt.

Good Lord, Marty lacks charisma. He tries, but it just isn't there.

I just looked up some New Rockers to see how Marty was there. He never really plays up that the gimmick is essentially a guy stuck in the glory days of his career who tries to recapture lightning in a bottle with an equally deluded dork. Ideally it should have played out like Kingpin. Snow tried really hard though. Just watched then squash the Hardy Boyz when they were just Boys on Superstars. Fun match.

I've been trying to make sense of the way some shows disappear from the vault (specifically WCCW) even though nothing is meant to be removed, but then reappear later.

Just a theory, but I suspect that's what meant to happen is that they upload it with a time flag that means each show automatically becomes available in the Vault menu as soon as it's aired on the live stream.

However (my theory continues) the metadata is mistakenly listing some live stream shows as first run (when they've already been on), meaning the system freaks out and pulls them from the Vault menu until they air again.

I think part of the problem is not the network, but the platforms. I realized I don't see new shows added if I just keep the network open in Apple TV even when I'm not watching it, for example. It's probably recommended that you get out and go back in to ensure that you get updates on most platforms. Just facting here, I'm not sure. But I know with Apple TV, that solves my problems the majority of the time.

Got an email from them today.......

We would like to notify WWE Network customers using Xbox 360 of an issue accessing certain pay-per-views and classic content after launching the WWE Network app for the first time. We are aggressively working on a solution. In the mean time, if you are experiencing this issue, please do the following:

Go to Xbox Settings.
Select Family.
Set the Content Controls to allow for TV-14 content.
Save the settings and restart the WWE app.
This should allow visibility to the missing content.
For further information, please visit our help center.

This is the exact same shit that they have been spewing on Twitter for two weeks now.

I had it set for no parental controls, I've set it for TV-14, I have cleared the cache on the X-Box, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app,

Nothing works.

There are no WCW or ECW PPV's. Wrestlemania and Royal Rumble (and maybe more) only offer the last event. The live stream and the VOD lags behind and then runs in fast forward to catch up.

The X-Box app is fucking broken, and my guess is they have no idea how to fix it yet, because they have been giving TONS of people on Twitter those same directions over and over again, and none of it works.

Frustrating

Sorry guys I haven't read the entire thread so this may be redundant information but Mike Johnson said they WWE have every Saturday Night Main Event and Clash of the Champions digitised and ready to go. However the tech people have been told to sit on it until all the free week people are finished with.

I'd much rather have these than every Raw and Nitro.

Meaning what, no more free weeks for good once they're seven days out from WrestleMania?

I'm not sure what to think so far. I signed up for the trial a couple of nights ago. My immediate reaction was one of being overwhelmed. With so much shit to watch, I really found myself not wanting to watch any of it. LOL. On that first night, I bounced around a bit on the old NWA PPVs (Chi Town Rumble, Bash 88, Bunkhouse Stampede)....a few shitty old school NWA screwjob finishes sours you on this stuff quickly.

Last night, I was bouncing around on old WWF PPVs. Watched Haku vs. Harley from Rumble 89 since it's a match not really seen often and wasn't on the CHV. Watched a little bit of the Harts vs. Demo match from Summerslam 88. Saw a little bit of that Raw from '99 last night too with Corny on the mic.

So, I have to admit, even though I'm a guy who likes to have the physical media and collect discs for my personal collection, it is kind of nice to be able to lay in bed at night, with the wife and kid sleeping, and just bounce around on these shows on my Kindle Fire with my headphones in without having to literally move a finger more than an inch....obviously something you cant do with hundreds of dvds or blue rays.

It is a bit overwhelming to consider trying to rewatch everything, but having that option of bouncing around on the computer or Kindle at night is nice. So....not sure yet if I will re-up or not. Still deciding.

I'm into collecting physical media too, but not for wrestling so much. But otherwise I totally get where you're coming from. This is an embarrassment of riches personally. It sure beats looking for old VHS rips on YouTube that might not be there tomorrow.

I'm a little baffled why anyone who would be a member of a site like this wouldn't be all over something like the network. Yeah, they might not add content fast enough for our liking at this stage but by all accounts there's tons of stuff coming pretty quickly. Plus it wouldn't have made sense for them to put everything up on day one since they knew there would be bugs to work out first. We're already seeing it now, more content appearing now that a lot of the launch issues are getting ironed out. The only way I can understand someone canceling is if your only means of access to it is the Xbox 360 since their app is still busted.

Even if you have no interest in any of the vault stuff, every PPV for $9.95 is a ridiculous deal.
