The Thread Killer
I caught this week's NXT show, and to echo the sentiments of other people in this thread, at elsewhere at PWO... NXT really needs to get out of Full Sail. That crowd has become way too jaded, quiet and reserved. They don't make half the noise they used to. Now they really only seem to get excited for whoever the latest new face is. I know WWE is in serious cost-cutting mode, and taking TV on the road is probably a lot more expensive, but I wish they'd do it.

Yeah it's really starting to harm my enjoyment of the TV show as well, I'm big on atmosphere with my wrestling. I know they're already spending a lot of money on NXT, but I dunno, maybe they get a ridiculous amount of money in TV rights in 2019 and they can start doing tapings in 1,500 seat venues around the country. Mad Dog
You could also tape 2-3 episodes at a time and not burn a crowd out by the end of it.

Ricky Jackson
Pretty solid no Dq bout between Itami and Ohno too. ***
Grimmas
I agree with Kelly, a good episode of TV there. Asuka's exit was very well done. The main event was a good match. Shayna Deville impressed me, really liked her swagger.
Boss Rock
Really good episode. Almas squash was a lot of fun, Lars destroying people makes me long for a match with Braun, and the main event was good. Still not crazy about Deville. The presentation of her as an MMA fighter just seems so forced (which is ironic considering she did MMA) as opposed to the more natural charisma and presence of Shayna. Gutenberger
I *sniff* got something in my eye while watching Asuka's farewell ceremony Strange coincidence, the same tihng happened to me,also... Btw. i loved Itami's face after the low blow, really stuck out to me. I dunno why.
Boss Rock
Was a great facial reaction, especially considering how serious Itami is most of the time.
Ricky Jackson
Oney Lorcan vs Lars Sullivan from this week's show was predictably awesome
Sean Liska
It really feels like NXT is getting back to 2014-2015 peak form. It's just a fun show again, easy to watch, lots of things to look forward to, good stories, matches, etc - Full Sail has even had some life the past two weeks! If they can produce amazing Takeovers when the product is cold then the next few should really be great. And yeah, everyone watch Lorcan-Lars. Lorcan is amazing whenever they put him on TV, he's their secret weapon.
TonyPulis'Cap
Did a bit of a binge watch of the last few weeks of NXT over the weekend and really enjoying a lot of the things they are doing. It's clear from reading the comments since they debuted that some people here are not into Cole, O'Reilly and Fish but I like them collectively and think they've been booked well so far to where there's a bit of an edge and tension when they are around. When it comes to groups and stables in wrestling and anytime there is an 'invasion/takeover' angle of sorts, then if the group doing the invading or trying to take over conveys a sense of menace then that makes it much more effective. I liked the mixing of the UK guys into storylines as well, as opposed to them being isolated from those. The match with reDRagon and Moustache Mountain was lots of fun. Some other random observations: - loved the bit where Pete Dunne looked like he was coming in to help Wolfgang getting beaten down, only then to just make sure to grab his belt. - enjoyed the Ohno/Itami match with the nice call back on the low blow. - the shot of Cole, O'Reilly and Fish turning to be faced with Sanity was a great visual. - losing Asuka is obviously a massive blow, but it now gives a lot of the more unheralded names a chance to shine. Looking at the booking you would think that the other 3 in the Take Over 4way with Kairi Sane will be Ember Moon, Nikki Cross and Ruby Riot. - finally, the thing I really like about NXT is that in general they don't do the magic/invisible camera that has plagued WWE TV for near on 18 years. Some of the set ups can be a bit hokey, but they try to have confrontations occur when someone is doing an interview, recording something on their phone, something is happening in the background etc. so that there is a reason for the camera to be there. It works so much better.

sek69
Probably no need to spoiler the name since WWE just blasted it across their social media accounts. My only pause with this is having it a three way match was awkward when WCW did it, but WCW at that stage would fuck up a one man circle jerk. iamthedoctor
I would have thought if WWE was going to do a War Games match they would have done it on a PPV featuring Raw and Smackdown stars.
El-P
No, because Vince hates WarGames. He would never do it. Trip loves it and always wanted to do it. I guess he's tasting the waters for the future. A three-way doesn't work nearly as well as a regular team vs team match though (of course the WCW 98 version was a catastrophy involving Warrior, Stevie Ray, trapdoors and whatnot, so it can't ever be as bad as this one). It's like WCW appreciation month all of a sudden.
donsem43
I'm sure the main reason they haven't used it before is they would lose high-priced ringside seats. Plus some of those remaining seats would have an obstructed view for some of the matches. If they hated the idea then they wouldn't have created knock-offs like Hell in the Cell and Elimination Chamber.
sek69
It's not that Vince hates it, he just doesn't like using ideas he didn't come up with and/or thinks is too "southern rasslin" which in his mind is anything that got popular with JCP or WCW. clintthecrippler
I haven't been able to dive too deep into the spoilers but did Regal specifically state they were using two rings? Or just mention the War Games match name and announce the teams?

Robert S
I was watching Ohno vs. Itami yesterday. Hero never was super slim, but man, his legs now look as if he had Samoan genes.
