iamthedoctor
Why can't Kane just disappear back to where he went. Honestly I'm sick of Strowman being forced down my throat week after week, I didn't like him in the Wyatt family and I sure as hell am fed up of him hogging the spotlight on Raw every damn week going over everyone. WingedEagle
The Kane angle really leaves me at a loss. 4 on 3 felt awkward and unnecessary as well as providing for a pretty crowded ring. 5 on 3? Does this increase anyone's interest in the match or show? That arguably doesn't matter on a minor PPV in the network era, but what is the upside to this? SAMS
I'm just going to parrot what's been said above. Can anyone explain Kane's involvement here? I mean, I was fine with the 4v3 because I like all the guys involved (at least on Miz's team) and having seven guys in the ring plays into what I think made the original Shield matches great, which was the chaos. But this just feels like overkill. And I'm not buying the reason that it's because he's the sole remaining member of the first Shield TLC match on the roster. DMJ
I'm the opposite of a Kane fan but I could stomach a Kane/Reigns feud in the right context. For example, if Kane would've come back at the Rumble (granted, that's some months away) and screwed Reigns out of the win (and a SD guy would've won), I would've been okay with it as you could buy the story that Kane was avenging Reigns defeating his "brother" Taker last year. Then, Reigns slays Kane at the February PPV on his way to facing Lesnar at Mania. Its not going to produce a classic, its not going please the die-hards, but as a "filler" feud, I could understand the purpose and logic. But Kane returning in a 5-on-3 match where he's the 5th most interesting guy on his team? I don't want to say Kane deserves better than this, but Kane kinda deserves better than this. goc
Pretty sure they went with 5 on 3 instead of 4 on 3 because this is going to lead to a Survivor Series style match next month. Whether that is a 5 on 3 elimination style tag match or The Shield find two additional partners I don't know but it's the only reason I can think of they specifically bumped it up to 5. Also it lets The Shield be at a massive disadvantage so they can lose and keep the reunion going because if they reunite to take down a threat and in their first match back they take it down, what else is there? Gutenberger
This is it! This is Punk's return. He brought them initially at SS, so they bring him back now.
El-P
Complete misuse of Kane. Should have been brought up to SD to feud with Jinder. Punjabi Prison. (I'm not even joking, that way maybe AJ Styles would not be the next victim of Fucking Stupid Business Plan Booking) Still... Kane... wow. 22 years of sucking on WWE TV. sek69
if I'm thinking about it like I believe WWE is, I'm guessing this is the plan: Braun gets sick of the jabronies on his team and walks out and Kane gives the Shield a monster to destroy. Maybe Kane sticks around to do a program with Roman to avenge his bro, but doesn't he still have an election to win?

If they want to get this over? Styles and Nakamura? That would certainly help. But Survivor Series is still supposed to be a cross brand event right? What does Smackdown do with their two most over guys serving merely to make up the numbers in a RAW angle? if I'm thinking about it like I believe WWE is, I'm guessing this is the plan: Braun gets sick of the jabronies on his team and walks out and Kane gives the Shield a monster to destroy. What's the point of any of this if they win the first go round? Especially considering the numbers mismatch

The Chief
That was by far the longest period Glen Jacobs has been off WWE television. He wasn't even out for that long between Fake Diesel and Kane. I honestly don't even remember what he was doing on TV before he left... The Thread Killer
In my opinion this whole thing with the Shield vs. Miz and Company has become beyond stupid. The Shield vs. Braun & The Bar would have been awesome. I don't know why they had to make it a handicap match. I hate handicap matches with a passion. I can't think of one handicap match I ever enjoyed, aside from them being used with enhancement guys to get monsters over. The addition of Kane has done nothing to help this story. At this point, I don't even think I'm going to watch the stupid PPV, that's how little I care about this now.

Also on that show aj styles lost to James Elsworth in a ladder match. It is only last December but seems so long ago.

SmartMark15
Gonna play devil's advocate here and defend the TLC main event. I'm actually really interested in the match. The Shield as a unit is one of the hottest acts in this decade of the WWE and I think their team unity against overwhelming odds makes for a compelling match. Kane isn't setting the world on fire (hehe) but he's a harmless addition who could also take the pin to protect the younger heels. Honestly, this 3-on-5 main event is the kind of freak show booking that I happen to enjoy on B PPVs. They're hit and miss, sure, but they're at least interesting. I mean Owens-Shane put on a good freak show bumpfest and this has all the fixings to do the same.
Strummer
Sami Zayn just pinned Randy Orton clean in the middle of a wwe ring. ( ok after a low blow but that's practically clean these days) Owens and Sami are just fantastic together. Smackdown seems to be getting back on track

The mayoral election is around May 1st, 2018 I believe so he won't stick around full-time. My guess is this is probably his last run. Smackdown seems to be getting back on track I didn't think I'd like Zayn turning heel but the nostalgia of having him and Owens team again, and they're in the main event, and Zayn pins Orton - yeah I'm back in with SD. They had a rough HITC TV cycle but things seem good now.
Gutenberger
Real clever move, having Zayn diminish Bryan this week. His promo was way more heelish this time around, too, I think. The ending to SmackDown felt a bit weird, though. Kind of convoluted.
