El-P
I love how Chris Jericho managed his career to make himself one of the hottest act in the world at 48 years old.

sek69
They moved him to the Alumni section. The biggest news wasn't even during the show today, but was Tony Khan sayin in an interview they want to make sure anyone who works for them gets health insurance. SirEdger
Some PWTees employees looking to attend Smackdown Live tonight were denied entry in the show because they were wearing AEW merch. Yeop, Vince is pissed right now.

That was bound to happen at some point. Hopefully it will force those WWE assholes to do the same eventually. I mean, they are pretty quick to react. You know, moving Jericho down to the alumni section, pushing Hogan's merchandise as he was back on TV to "honor Gene Okerlund" (and no, this is not whitewashing to sell some shit despite racists remarks). Come on, jump the gun and give the workers what they should have gotten 30 years ago.
aaeo_
the quote I read said "top employees" would get full benefits. That probably means something different to "anyone who works for them". How about CIMA though?
NintendoLogic
Did they explicitly say that the wrestlers would be classified as employees and not independent contractors?

Said the top employees in #AEW will be paid with full benefits (this includes Cody and the Bucks, etc.). Talent paid competitively based on their background, but would not delve into specifics of who gets benefits. Men and women paid at same rate. So who knows what exactly that means, but maybe it's a good first step.
C.S.
Hopefully it at least means their signed guys will get full health insurance, but they'll also rely on part-time outside talent that won't (ROH, NJPW, NWA, Impact, etc. if those working relationships ever happen). This is rasslin' though, so I'm skeptical.

KawadaSmile
Oh boy. Anyhoo, MJF was probably the best acquisition. I am curious to how they are going to book actualy storylines. Who knew that with a couple of really good names (MJF, Janela, CIMA and PAC - got no time for old ass Jericho and he's probably going to be their first champ) you can spark curiosity? I'm not ALL IN but it sounds promising enough. Hope they don't resort to WWE jabs too often, too.
Tim Evans
So with Joey and MJF being with AEW, does this mean they left MLW or MLW is working with AEW? Anyways, those two and PAC and the OWE guys are good pick ups. I'm interested in who else they sign. Hopefully not too many ex WWE guys as I hope this doesn't turn into another TNA. However after the smackdown thing, I fear it will be.

I wouldn't be shocked to have Jericho face Cody or Kenny Omega again, once Omega signs with them.

Jesse Ewiak
Weird how some of the same people who acted all insulted that the WWE got in bed with Trump or Saudi Arabia are perfectly OK with All Elite Wrestling being backed by a guy who gave a million to Trump's inauguration committee. Guess it's OK to be a scumbag with terrible politics as long as you hate Kevin Dunn's production decisions and like lots of flips.
NintendoLogic
Nobody becomes a billionaire without being deeply implicated in some sort of reprehensible activity. But classifying wrestlers as employees with benefits would be a genuine game-changer for the industry if this promotion manages to get off the ground. Also, Meltzer reported that Omega hired Barry Bloom to handle his negotiations, which isn't something he'd do if he wasn't seriously entertaining every offer on the table. That's another L for rovert.
