SmartMark15
With half the year out, was wondering if anyone wanted to share their picks for some of these categories. Match of the Year Best Major Wrestling Show Best Promotion Best on Interviews Feud of the Year Most Improved Wrestler of the Year Here's a video with my picks:
Mad Dog
Cody vs. Dustin for Match of the year. NXT New York for best show. New Japan for best promotion is kind of a default pick. Cody for most improved. Cody vs. Dustin for feud of the year. I don't know on wrestler of the year. Several guys have had some great matches but have also laid some eggs. I don't think anyone stands out head and shoulders above anyone else.

Mad Dog
Just now, SmartMark15 said: This is an excellent pick and one I'll have to reevaluate once the year end comes. I would never have thought two shows into AEW that he would have the two best matches in the promotion.

Agreed. He's become a surprisingly reliable big match worker.

The Thread Killer
Here's my picks based on what I watch. I follow NXT, NXT UK, Impact and MLW closely. I know what's going on in WWE and see most of the big matches, but I don't watch their weekly television. I don't watch ROH or NJPW so unfortunately I can't comment on any shows or wrestlers in either organization. King of Debt
I don't watch enough promotions to throw my hat into a discussion like this but if there's a major show better than Spring Break 3 Night 1 it's probably in Show of the Decade territory
ShittyLittleBoots
Match of the Year: Daniel Bryan vs. Kofi Kingston (WWE 04/07) Runner up: Cain Justice vs. Trevor Lee (CWF Mid-Atlantic 02/16) Best Major Wrestling Show: AEW Double or Nothing Runner up: GCW Josh Barnett's Bloodsport Best Promotion: Best on Interviews: Daniel Bryan Feud of the Year: Daniel Bryan vs. Kofi Kingston Most Improved: Jay White Wrestler of the Year: Daniel Bryan Runner up(s): Timothy Thatcher & Eddie Kingston Couldn't think of anything for best promotion. There has not been any standout promotions for the year, except maybe for AEW, but they've had only 2 shows so far, so it feels like cheating to put them there. Haven't watched it back online yet, but the Boomer/Dasher mask vs. mask in Chicago definitely felt like a MOTYC when I saw it live. It's been such a good story, loved their section in the Infinite Gauntlet, where Dasher wanted to teach his son a lesson in the ring, but every time another entrant got in, the Hatfield's took them straight out. Boomer's post match promo was great, and the mask vs mask was excellent. All this, plus the ladder match with Mr Touchdown at the Mania weekend show, had Dasher surprisingly high in my WOTY list, but Drew Gulak has been awesome this year. I wonder how much smokes and mirrors they'll thrown at Triplemania to make this fun.
