I can't take him seriously because he makes it blatantly clear that he's working a gimmick. He entertains me, that's what matter most to me, more than taking him seriously. Specially at this point of his career.
C.S.
Jericho was way more gimmicky and mugging in his WCW heel and early WWE runs (at an older age than MJF is now), so the sky is the limit for MJF as far as I'm concerned.

There's a Jericho's lifts joke here somewhere.
Mad Dog
It's really refreshing to have commentary treat it like a legit sport.
Ricky Jackson
See that green shirt 90s guy has whored himself out to AEW. No doubt he'll be at HIAC. Kinda hope WWE ban him from ringside going forward out of spite
C.S.
Great show so far, but Page vs. PAC has easily been the worst match so far. Not sure why they signed PAC, TBH.

William Bologna
Here’s Britt Baker. I’m going to start an argument with the people sitting around me about whether it’s OK not to know who she is. Get that PWO experience.
WingedEagle
Some early thoughts: - Cody/Sammy seemed a bit slow until the Brandi bump. Very much by the numbers until they built to some great near falls without overdoing it. I've never quite understood the hype about Guevara but he didn't take anything away from this. The Jericho angle afterwards was nothing amazing but perfectly solid and credible without overdoing things with any shenanigans. - I've never quite gotten the buzz about MJF. He's certainly a heel but the only time I've ever really gotten into him is hanging around as Cody's sidekick. Too over the top on the mic and he works like a passable manager. - Pac/Page seemed a bit too long but solid throughout. Page looked better than he has thus far in AEW. No complaints about extending this feud, perhaps to the PPV. - Much like MJF, I still don't get the hype about Nyla Rose. In her case perhaps its push rather than hype, but same idea. Hope she shows something here.
Boss Rock
Weird commercial break, not even an intro for the title match.
FMKK
Nyla Rose is definitely more company push than organic hype at this point but I don't think anyone in their women's roster has much hype about them so I guess they've just got to push them
Mad Dog
Nyla is super green. She has some cool moves but I think she largely seems out of her depth so far. I think she needs another year or two to figure out that mean mugging isn't a personality but a lot of indy wrestlers make that mistake. Coffey
Definitely way too many ad breaks during the show. If the pacing feels like this because you opened for 20 minutes without a commercial, don't do that again.
Boss Rock
I stand corrected.
NintendoLogic
Women's wrestling is one area where NXT has the clear edge over AEW. They need to import more joshi stars if they want to catch up.

KawadaSmile
Man, it's so fucked that Page lost to two ex-WWE guys. Like, both decisions were right, but that is a funny coincidence.
Coffey
Riho looks like she weighs about 85lbs. Nothing she does looks believable. Less impact than an Alexa Bliss or Candice LeRae. Hell, a Kelly Kelly.
sek69
Nyla is green, but big person vs tiny person is one of those things that almost always works, especially when the smaller person can work.
