What a tall task for that Chicago crowd to stay on point by the time Punk vs Mox happens. I hope they can give it a proper atmosphere but that's a lot of matches that will go long and present every single thing you can see in a wrestling ring. I guess the main event will end up being a very bloody brawl?

It’s got Mox in it, what do you think

I actually paid for this, and I have a buddy coming over to hang out so I am going to end up watching the whole thing from start to finish. I can’t say I’m terribly excited (there is an Omega & The Young Bucks match as one of the main features and Jon Moxley is in the Main Event so how good could it really be?) But there are quite a few matches on the undercard which have a ton of potential, and I find as a rule AEW PPV’s tend to overdeliver…so we’ll give it a go, why the hell not.

I am still in the “AEW is trying hard to provide an alternative product so I’ll give them my money” phase.

I'm watching this in a pub in Cardiff and I've clocked that it's about eight hours long. I'm way the fuck too old to be watching anything for that amount of time so when there are memes all over twitter of an astonishingly handsome Scottish gentleman asleep on a bar somewhere while Moxley stabs someone with a fork then at least you know who's responsible for it.

Seriously though there are like 15 matches on this bastard.

Nothing about this pre-show has convinced me to fork over $50 for the PPV.

This has been the drizzling shits so far.

It started off on the wrong foot with Sammy and Tay getting attacked by what looked like a toy car - WTF? - and then a disgusting public display of affection involving a bleeding Sammy making out with Tay.

Eddie Kingston will make up for it, and I'm sure the main show will at least be a fun if overlong and overbooked night of wrestling, but I'm happy saving my money.

Edit: Now Kip Sapian is arguing with a fucking cardboard box. Al Snow and Chavo Guerrero Jr. may have been able to pull off such silliness, but Kip Sapian is no Al Snow and he's not even Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Yeah that Eddie shoulder spot ruled, that was fucking genius. Randy Orton could never.

I am fine with certain people in wrestling doing the million chops/strikes/no selling whack off, and Eddie Kingston, Ishii, and whoever is standing in front of Ishii definitely fall into that category. Fun shit.

I haven't laid eyes on Ishii in a few years clearly, because he's looking rough, poor bloke.

I also WAS going to say that the chaos opening of Ruby and Ortiz running the dorks over with their car and just throwing shit and having a fun sprint was possibly the best way to do that match again, BUT then the dorks broke Ruby's nose and dropped her on her fucking head to die so fuck all that and fuck those assholes.

The HOOK stuff was fun gaga.

I ain't watching no Kip Sabian match I have washing to hang out.

I must still be thinking about Drew Mac because it took me way too long to realise who it was.

To be honest I'm totally fine with ending that particular ladder match like that, it was barely promoted and was just a collection of nutty ladder spots. These matches seem to be all about the Joker anyway. Ending it with such intrigue was a far better ending than having the Joker come out like normal and just win.

Help me out, is the chip thing like MITB where they can theoretically cash in with no warning? Asking for no particular reason tonight.
