I have a tentative release schedule. With work, possibly moving, it may get messed. I will do my best though! First results no later than Saturday.

I've gotta say as one of the original voters in '06, I'm impressed that you guys generated ten times the number of voters this time. Kudos to you guys. I kind of wish I'd gone with my nationality over where I live. There are no other hardcore New Zealand wrestling fans on Wrestling Twitter?

Yeah, I don’t think it’s gonna be a very PWO list. Which is good and bad.

I think a lot of people have watched a lot of wrestling and formed their own opinion. But I am also 100% convinced that people have voted for wrestlers based entirely on gifs.

I voted for some of those names. I didn't realize they would be ineligible since Grimmas made a post where he said he wasn't going to be overly strict about it. I guess that was before he received close to 500 ballots. I have mixed feelings about the nominating process. For starters, it requires people to register an account here, which is a pain in the ass, and the list often wasn't updated for months at a time, which is a deterrent similar to how long people have to wait for approval  for a match review to be cleared by a moderator. Unless there was some other way to nominate wrestlers on Discord or somewhere else that I don't know about.

Anyway, there are a lot of great workers on that list. Some of them I'm not sure how they weren't nominated.

I have noticed that as well, unfortunately.

As an OG participant from the 2006 SC version, and non-participant this year (I actually *tried* to put together a list in the last month, as showed by my potential top ten I posted, but ranking stuff just doesn't make sense to me anymore, not just as far as pro-wrestling goes, in general, that ship has sailed), I must say the fact the tradition of bitching about the GWE results *as soon* as the reveal thread starts is alive and well is pretty funny.

You could nominate in the discord, hell you could get someone in the discord to nominate for you

I do sort of love the person who went "There's a huge list of nominees, I'm going to just assume Terri Runnels is already on there".

Big pop for the Act Yasukawa voter though, if Act had been nominated, I'd have been tempted for a #99 personal favourite vote.

Personally I don't think the nominations process makes sense now that we know the scale of the voterbase, but I don't think it could have been predicted that it would've gotten such a response. I do kinda wanna do away with formal nominations next time though.

I like the formal nominations. Surely the ultimate point of this is to share and discuss wrestlers. Without nominations we don't get that.

I think there are very specific cases where nominations put people on the radar that wouldn’t have otherwise been there, and I think that having to justify a nomination and provide 3 matches is a low enough bar so as not to be a significant barrier to entry.

Not being able to vote for, say Terri Runnels, is a small price to pay for not being involved in the process, in my view.

Baron Scicluna didn't drop today. That means someone else voted for him. There goes my only shot at being anybody's lone supporter.

Regardless of the pros and cons of the nomination system, I'm surprised by how many Joshi candidates didn't receive a nomination. I thought there was a big push for Josh this time round.

I think the Joshi push was centered around more historical candidates. Someone can correct me if I am wrong, though.

Seems like I'm not the only Frank Shamrock voter? That's interesting. Unless more #100 votes are yet to be revealed.

Long time lurker but first time poster (so hello!).  I really appreciated the nominations threads for revisiting, and remembering and guiding my viewing / thoughts.  2036 is a long time away of course, so there is plenty of time for those who didn't get nominated but plenty of votes for that to be rectified.  The high level of responses has been fantastic and maybe some didn't know about nominating, or found it easy.  That's a different challenge than the value of nominations.

Surprised Osamu Kido wasn't higher. Particularly because he's an actual name unlike some of the others at this stage. Thought some other shoot style fans would've given him some love too.

My biggest rec of Kido would be:

The August 5th 1986 tag with Akira Maeda against Fujinami and Kengo Kimura. Great Kido moment.

Osamu Kido was one of my final cuts. A painful one.
