Johnny Sorrow
Yeah in no way was Bryan running away. It's been clearly defined that he fears no man. Like Bix said, he was trying to get his wife to safety. Now, do they need to get the whole Brie coming out with Bryan thing done with? Hell yeah. cm funk
Yeah, the angle here is that Brie is completely terrified of Kane and Bryan is protecting his wife. That's why he didn't leave her alone for a second, and that's why she came to the ring with him. Bryan clearly isn't afraid of Kane, he was trying to get his wife to safety. Bix is right, it wasn't good, but people are complaining about the wrong things.
The Chief
I think Brie kind of takes away from Bryan's character. They just don't seem natural together, that's probably different in real life, but they don't need to acknowledge their relationship on TV.
SomethingSavage
Acknowledging the relationship is fine. I'm not opposed to that at all. It's when they hammer you over the head with it in EVERY television segment that it gets to be too much. It's grating already, and the angle's actually only just begun. I'd settle for almost ANY Daniel Bryan appearance without Brie attached at his hip right about now. Â The WrestleMania buildup was excellent for a month straight. And then this came. Now Daniel's character is married to his actual wife, Stephanie, and Kane. The belts he sought and fought so hard for - the big motivating factor & the ultimate prize behind the awesome "Journey" doc - are almost afterthoughts. But wasn't that the initial concept of the story?
(BP)
Long term, they've kind of written themselves into a corner with Bryan and Brie. Historically, one would turn on the other at some point, but I don't see them doing that while Total Divas is on. They might not be a terrible heel tandem some day; Brie has slightly more charisma as a heel, anyway.

shakla
The Bellas were the ones bullying Kharma, right? Â If it's possible to bully Awesome Kong, then yes. When she did the promo about being pregnant, they made fun of her for being fat and said something like "what guy would want to sleep with you?" But I'm not sure who the face/heels were during that time.
artDDP
For what reason did WWE decide the Bellas would be their top female talent? They released them once, then brought them back and I don't remember them getting much TV time upon their return. I also don't recall them doing anything to be ambassadors for the company but then "Total Divas" comes out and they're the stars of the show. Loss
I think even before that, Vince loved that they were twins and would yell at the writers for not doing more with that.
shakla
Also, I thought their release was of the "they requested their release" type. Just wanted to take a break, they weren't even gone a year.

rovert
They weren't released they took time off and WWE wanted them BADLY for Total Divas - I assume as they were the most vampy Reality TV bait Divas they had contact with. Â I think even before that, Vince loved that they were twins and would yell at the writers for not doing more with that. Â Yeah that was definitely reported in places for sure. goodhelmet
They've come a long way, in as much as I know which one is which now. Petey
What is HGH face?
artDDP
What is HGH face? People who use (abuse) HGH tend to get enlarged facial features as a result of their skulls growing. It's why Barry Bonds' head grew over time. There are lot of professional bodybuilders whose faces look like cro-magnons now as a result. Â A lot of celebrities use it as an anti-aging treatment and it's not unfathomable to think a WWE Diva would use it to accelerate muscle growth, which would help minimize body fat. Petey
I'll never look at that Bella the same way ever again. Thank you for the explanation.
shakla
Â They've come a long way, in as much as I know which one is which now. Â I wish I could remember who said it at DVDVR to give credit but you know which one is which because Nikki has New Knockers and Brie has Bryan. Â Â Before Nikki's enhancement, the main way to tell them apart was Brie's tats near her pelvic/lower ab area and Nikki wearing a flower in her hair. I think around the time they transitioned from arm candy for Raw guest hosts to wrestling more tags with the "twin magic", the flower was dropped. Â To bring this back to Meltzer, on the podcast for the 1/4/2010 Raw where Bret came back, Dave said something like "And Nikki Bella, she is going to be in trouble, and that's all I have to say", apparently she was noticeably heavier than Brie. kjh
There was a really bizarre argument between Dave and Bryan today on Wrestling Observer Radio over why Jushin Thunder Liger got the biggest pop out of the NJPW wrestlers on last night's ROH show in Toronto. Dave argued that it was because people had to trade tapes and pay to see the Liger era stars back in the day, while today's New Japan matches can easily be seen for free all over the Internet today. When you have to pay to see wrestlers they are perceived to be bigger stars. He also said Tanahashi was much bigger in Japan than Liger ever was. Â I know New Japan has a cult following online today, but clearly there was more interest in Japanese wrestling 20 years ago with hardcore fans and that's mainly because there was more big name stars, the quality of wrestling was higher, the shows were bigger, etc. A lot of people stopped watching when that generation of stars broke down, the next generation of stars weren't as good as the previous generation, Antonio Inoki killed New Japan with his shoot fetish, etc, and they haven't come back. Bryan attempted to argue this, but got shot down by Dave.
goodhelmet
Liger is a legend. The rest aren't. Simple as that.
tim
Liger is a legend. The rest aren't. Simple as that. Â Definitely true, but Okada, Tanahashi and Nakamura are REALLY big with hardcore fans right now. So their lackluster reactions really surprised me. They were still chanting for Liger for the first 5 or so seconds of Tanahashi's theme and were pretty quiet during his entrance. The NJPW main event crop I would say is about as big for most fans on the internet as say KENTA was in the mid 2000s when he made appearances for ROH and I remember the crowds going wild for him. Maybe they'll get a better reaction in New York and the Toronto crowd isn't made up of quite the same fans, but I don't know what other kind of fans you sell out an ROH show based off of. BigBadMick
Anyone else get a bit uncomfortable when Dave and Bryan start arguing? It's not as bad now as January, but still.....
KrisZ
Jushin Thunder Liger has been a name to American fans for 22 years the others not so much. Liger competed on WCW PPV's and TV on a sporadic basis for 5 years
BillThompson
Anyone else get a bit uncomfortable when Dave and Bryan start arguing? It's not as bad now as January, but still..... Â Most times I find it uncomfortable because Bryan can't keep up with Dave in any way. Even when Dave is making an argument I don't agree with he manages to usually destroy Bryan simply due to Bryan not knowing what he's talking about.
