  1. Very happy with the new sets! Have a use for pretty much everyone but Moose.
  2. 3. Apologies. Whether I like them or not, the stuff you said about the other guys in the group is all true, so I thought maybe you were serious about Credible as well. My bad. and yeah, that gif still makes me laugh every time I watch it!
  4. When did Justin Credible become the greatest ECW Champ ever? When did he crack the Top 5?
  5. I believe that was during his "The One" Billy Gunn time period.
  6. Before his current post WWE run where I think he is showing more personality than ever before, I would have agreed with you about Sydal. However, I think the thing that sets Sydal apart from Perkins is quite simply the Shooting Star Press. Perkins does everything really, really well but he doesn't have that one "Holy Fucking Shit" move that makes him stand out.
  7. Right on. I've never tried the online. I figure I've already spent this much money on cards, it's hard to justify spending it again.
  8. Did you already get yours? If so, I am super jealous!
  9. Perkins is a guy who just seems to be missing something that I have never been able to put my finger on. His work is fantastic, he has a good look, I've never heard him talk but like I said, there is just some connection that doesn't seem to be there that has stopped him from reaching that next level.
  10. Shane Douglas is in my all time Top 5, and I also love pretty much anything involving Raven. You are not alone my friend!
  11. Haven't they actually said "we are not a wrestling company, we are an entertainment company" multiple times.
  12. Here is my latest confession.... In modern wrestling I wish the referee would stop checking on a guy after every fucking move. I understand we live in a post Benoit world where no one can compete with concussions or injuries, and I certainly don't want anyone getting injured, but man the referee leaping down to get the "I'm Okay" from a guy constantly just pulls me right out of a match more times than not.
  13. You were the one I knew about!
  14. I play the Legends of Wrestling and Indy Wrestling card games from Filsinger Games all the time. I know there is at least one other person on this board that does as well (though I won't out him in case he doesn't want that known!) A bit repetitive, but since I'm too old to live out my booking fantasies with action figures, and I haven't liked a wrestling video game since No Mercy....it does the trick!
  15. Maybe the legal department's pay checks are running late too? You think someone would have checked into that.
  16. They love booking Rusev like a babyface. Think about last year when he was a man fighting for the pride of his country against a giant (Show), then another monster (Henry) interfered to help the giant, and he overcame them both using only his skills to triumph and wave the flag. That's a fucking Hulk Hogan storyline right out of 1988!
  17. To get babyface sympathy for a top draw like Kane obviously......
  18. Some people might think it was spotty and indyriffic, but god damn I enjoyed the hell out of the Rusev/Cesaro/Owens/Cena segment/match.

    Rusev

I'm willing to bet that Vince thinks Brie is a dirty hippy. If Bryan were dating Nikki, it would be a totally different story.
  20. I attended two local indy shows in 1995, one with Jim Neidhart and The Rock and Roll Express and the other with Jimmy Snuka and Greg Valentine. I have no results for those. My first big show came in 96..... WWF @ Pittsburgh, PA - Civic Arena - February 25, 1996 (matinee) (9,000) Included an opening segment where WWF acting President Roddy Piper talked about making two title matches on the show after it was announced Diesel wouldn't be able to wrestle due to having a dislocated shoulder; the 1-2-3 Kid then came out, upset at Piper about the cry baby match at In Your House, slapped Piper and spat at him, with Piper then making a match between he and Kid for later in the card Fatu pinned Bob Backlund at the 43-second mark with a roll up Steve Austin defeated Bob Holly via submission at 6:30 with the Million $ Dream Justin Bradshaw pinned Marty Jannetty at 6:32 with the lariat Ahmed Johnson pinned Tatanka (sub. for Jeff Jarrett) at 8:35 Henry & Phinneas Godwinn defeated Skip & Zip at 6:41 Duke Drose pinned Hunter Hearst Helmsley at 6:39 Roddy Piper (sub. for Razor Ramon) pinned the 1-2-3 Kid at 12:41 after hitting him with the ring bell Savio Vega defeated WWF IC Champion Goldust via count-out at 10:02 when Goldust left ringside WWF World Champion Bret Hart fought the Undertaker to a double count-out at 9:20; the bout was scheduled to have included Diesel as well Shawn Michaels & Yokozuna defeated Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith at 11:02 when Michaels pinned Owen with the superkick

  22. I wasn't saying that it necessarily had happened recently. It just seems that in the history of wrestling in most cases when a guy turns heel, he for no reason forgives or forgets all of the terrible things that had been done to him in the past with no explanation. In the example above he used Serra and Hughes, two guys who hate one another, and whether or not that was intentional on his part, it reminded me of this piece of wrestling storytelling that for years has made no sense.
  23. This is the best paragraph I've read all day. The closing line is made even better by the fact that the two guys winning the handicap match are former enemies who are now probably inexplicably friends with no explanation from the "writing team"
  24. Apparently James Storm and Magnus are leaving after the big show this weekend.
  25. After the show they had last night, it would seem that one major name is missing from the tournament.....
