Loss Posted October 31, 2012 Author Report Posted October 31, 2012 In what will become a fairly regular feature on this yearbook, Lawler walks around the studio and insults people. Pretty hilarious. Quote
PeteF3 Posted October 31, 2012 Report Posted October 31, 2012 The days before parents could take to Twitter to complain about wrestling heels bullying their children. These kids seem like they're having a blast when Lawler insults them, which is exactly how I would be if I were in the Memphis studio in 1990. Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted November 2, 2012 Report Posted November 2, 2012 Ahhh, this was fun and everyone involved seemed to have enjoy that it was part of the show. I can only imagine the litigation this day in age for hurting some kid in the audience feelings. I love Lawler running down the live audience. Quote
soup23 Posted November 2, 2012 Report Posted November 2, 2012 Lawler talking about the person liking his chin so much he got 4 of them was a legit lol moment for me. Best fan interaction on a yearbook so far. Quote
Cox Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 I'm glad there will be more of these segments, as I could watch Lawler walk around a wrestling studio insulting people dozens and dozens of times and not get sick of it. Quote
JerryvonKramer Posted November 10, 2012 Report Posted November 10, 2012 Jerry Lawler bullying that fat kid is probably the single biggest highlight of my entire week so far. Legitimately amazing. Quote
Laney Posted April 14, 2013 Report Posted April 14, 2013 This was hilarious. Some kid tells Lawler to wear a shirt because his armpits stink and Lawler makes fun of the kid for being fat. Just pure fun. Quote
ajtroma Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 I hope Lawler retired those tights. They were WAY too sheer for Lawler to be sporting (Missy Hyatt on the other hand...) plus he had a camel toe going. At least the Cartman-looking kid laughed and was a sport about it. Quote
Bix Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 It's becoming obvious they're having Lawler fill time with so much of the best talent in the territory in Dallas taping the KTVT show, but this is fun. Quote
Ditch Posted July 16, 2013 Report Posted July 16, 2013 It's becoming obvious they're having Lawler fill time with so much of the best talent in the territory in Dallas taping the KTVT show, but this is fun.I think that says something about Lawler as a performer: he can have a great segment by himself just ad-libbing. Quote
Zero Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 Is it bad to laugh? I may have been laughing too hard. Quote
cheapshot Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 What a great heel Lawler was during this period, and this showed it perfectly. Lol moment for me with the insult. Quote
garretta Posted November 27, 2014 Report Posted November 27, 2014 Even while he's insulting the Memphis crowd, Lawler has them in the palm of his hand. Dave does what he does so well: brings the show back on format. In the part of my brain that still thinks wrestling is real, I can just imagine him doing the rundown in the locker room before the show and telling the heels: "PLEASE don't mess us up this week, okay?" Quote
El-P Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 Can't *this* Jerry Lawler be back on TV ? Can't he ? Please ? Quote
Johnny Guitar Posted September 28, 2015 Report Posted September 28, 2015 This was hilarious and something that you just couldn't do today. Quote
drew wardlaw Posted October 13, 2015 Report Posted October 13, 2015 This Dave Brown is a treat. Just a frustrated man trying to make it through the day. Now Lawler is pointing and insulting children. This is art. Quote
GSR Posted November 25, 2016 Report Posted November 25, 2016 Lawler walks around ringside and starts insulting a young fan who is heckling him. 'This kid had such a pretty chin he decided he'd add three more of them!', followed by 'this kid, last year he was the poster child for birth control!'. Funny stuff and this all feels so fresh as opposed to the tired, repetitive King who would later go on to commentate in the WWE. Quote
Stiva Posted July 20, 2017 Report Posted July 20, 2017 Next level stuff from Lawler. That guy must have soaked up every joke and insult he'd ever heard before unleashing them on the wrestling world. Quote
