Hollinger.
Why can't there be a place in wrestling for midgets? There is a small place for midgets in pro-wrestling.
goc
It was a funny joke but how many times you gonna empty quote it? I still feel like midgets get a lot of undue hate simply because "AWW MAN MIDGETS!?" but they're usually fun matches.

Stiva
I don't have a problem with Bryan vs. a monster as his first title defense, I just wish it would have been a rehabilitated heel Mark Henry. Unless they play up Kane and Bryan's history, it's not interesting in the slightest. And it wasn't even a year ago that they stopped teaming. goc
I need to come up with a word to beat everyone over the head with when they shit on midgets matches like the Divas Defenders like to throw around the word misogynist. If there's a place for poorly choreographed, ultra light wrestling matches that make you feel embarrassed to watch it on every single Raw and Smackdown, surely there is room for a midget comedy match every now and then. El-P
At the current rate, Lana will be walking out naked in four weeks. She seems to be wearing something slightly more revealing every time she's on television. She's Rusev best asset. In a matter of 6 months, he'll probably be the next Broadus Clay. Hey, I like Rusev. Like it's been said, the entire act is a total throwback. Add the ridiculously hot "russian" girl right out of Rocky IV (WWE, always culturally relevant), and it's all good for me. DMJ
I'd be more impressed with Rusev if he used some more impressive power moves. Nothing he did to Sin Cara last night looked like something we haven't seen Cesaro do before and more smoothly (does that make sense?). Maybe his PPV match will reveal more of his "game," but I'm heavily doubting the notion that he's going to be put in the ring with Cena in a major feud in 2014. He seems like a guy who even his backstage supporters will lose interest in quickly.
Loss
This is the second time they've tried to recreate Umaga, the first being Lord Tensai. It raises an interesting question of what Umaga had that the others don't. What made Umaga successful?
Sidebottom
The main goal of WWE doing a feud between The Shield and Evolution is to push Roman Reigns as a top player and to get him into a singles match against Triple H. The match with Triple H is rumored for SummerSlam but word is that it could end up taking place at Hell In a Cell or Survivor Series if they decide to stretch it out longer. To me, this is like them watching the E&C-Hardys match from No Mercy '99 and their takeaway being "WOW WE NEED TO PUT THE BELT ON EDGE BY NEXT SUMMER, HE'D BE A GREAT FACE AGAINST HUNTER". The reality is so far removed from your example it's not even funny. Roman has been strongly positioned on television for over a year and largely protected. Edge in late 1999 was a nobody on the roster. You're not about to see Roman win the IC title on a house show and lose it the next day as a last minute gimmick to enhance the storyline arc of a PPV... (BP)
Umaga had offense that actually looked painful, and he was tremendous at playing a feral asskicker without it being campy.
Robert S
This is the second time they've tried to recreate Umaga, the first being Lord Tensai. It raises an interesting question of what Umaga had that the others don't. What made Umaga successful? Tensai could only have worked if he would have worn a mask all the time. As soon as he removed his cap and everbody new it was Albert any chances of him getting over were gone. Umaga had far less previous exposure and was not associated with "mediocrity" by large amounts of the fans as Tensai was (deserving or not). The Chief
Not really sure why everyone has been writing off Rusev so quickly. He's been in what, two squashes? Has he wrestled any full length matches on NXT? From what I've seen, he's looked fine enough in the limited time he's been given. He looks like a legitimate ass kicker and his look is unique, so he has that going for him. I haven't noticed any sloppiness and he really cranks on that camel clutch which I love. I really don't know why, but there has always been a rejection of any type of monster-squash character by the internet crowd. It's obviously not as bad here as it is on other boards, but Umaga had it, Tensai had it, Ryback even had it with the dumb "Goldberg"chants. I always read how these guys can't work, squashes are so dated, his offense is "dangerous" despite never hurting anybody.... These types of knee-jerk reactions always bother me when they bring in a character like this.
BillThompson
I've seen him wrestle more than enough on NXT, I don't think the guy has anything going for him. He has terrible timing, his strikes look really bad, no charisma, no aura of truly being a power wrestler to fear, and his move selection leaves a lot to be desired. I mean, the guy can't even decide whether he wants his finisher to be a bad looking Camel Clutch or a bad looking Steiner Recliner. Rusev is a terrible gimmick being played by a guy who can't talk or work.
(BP)
Who would be the best guy on the roster to stick RVD in a tag team with? Someone that can carry the workload or somebody he could help get over? There has to be a way to utilize the goodwill he still has with fans but keep him out of the way. Loss
Hmmm ... - Van Ziggler would allow Ziggler to be the showoff and RVD to just be like "Whatever", and it would be true to both of their characters. - Vandow wouldn't work - Miz & RVD as a tag team would be so unbelievably weird and lame that I'd laugh hysterically forever but no

I detailed this in a post which you didn't see, I guess-- it's not about the booking, it's that he has only had NINE singles matches, counting TV and house shows, in a year and a half on the main roster. Only one of which wasn't a squash and had an actual finish. What is the evidence that he is going to be a main event-level singles guy (and if he's booked with Hunter at SummerSlam, that is exactly what they want him to be) by August? That's the problem. I only just now have seen that he's doing some house show singles matches with Randy Orton.
Exposer
I was a little harsh towards RAW last night, but Main Event was a very good show. All four matches were at least decent. Torito-Hornswoggle was legitimately good in my opinion. I loved that they did an opening mat exchange followed by a heat segment. Sheamus-Titus was boss with two guys beating the ever living fuck out of one another. Ryback-Jimmy Uso was also good. Both guys worked stiff and there were some good near falls mixed in. Plus, Barrett made an appearance during the Big E.-Del Rio post-match and hyped up a match between him and Big E. I think it's pretty clear he's going to get the strap. Overall, this was a well booked show with some good matches. I have to say it was much better than RAW last night too.
goc
Gonna need to check out Titus vs Sheamus, I've liked Titus' stuff on the B-Shows since becoming a heel even if he's completely, hopelessly lost in the shuffle.
Exposer
It's pretty damn good. Titus looked real good in it too. They don't hold back on anything. It's a pretty physcial, brutal match.
Mini Bennett
I'm still pissed the internet put the kibosh on the Tensai/Giant Bernard push with their incessant "Albert" chants. Yes, you were watching wrestling in 98. Congrats. Then I come here and I see posters saying he was held down after pinning both Cena and Punk within the first few months of being back. Until he works anything more than squash matches I think the jury is still out on Rusev. It's always a plus when a guy of his size can move as well as he does, though. How incessant were the Albert chants? I remember when the Wyatt Family first showed up, the fans were chanting "Husky Harris" at Bray, but they stuck it out, and Bray is pretty darn over right now. RE: Russev, the jury is still out for me too. It'd be easy to write him off, but I'm remembering just how over Umaga got in 2006, so I think there's still some hope.
