goc
So Brad Maddox returned in a WWE app video. Kinda crazy, I was just thinking the other day that he would be an interesting guy to have come back as a manager with a grudge against The Authority or WWE as a whole. Not sure who you would give him to manage though. I like him a lot and hope they have at least have something interesting planned for him.
Hollinger.
Maybe that Hollinger guy will be the new ring announcer.
Cox
Justin Roberts released. Ever since the Fink retired, WWE just hasn't found a good ring announcer at all. They stuck with Roberts for 12 years. Unbelievable. Is Gary Capetta still out there? There goes my #1 source of WWE comps.
funkdoc
Am I imagining this, or did WCW actually run a Judy Bagwell On A Pole match? i'm surprised you weren't sure of that. in my experience that's second only to the viagra on a pole match as the definitive Vince Russo Thing

The Bagwell on the pole wasn't even the most offensive thing on the show. That show including the Goldberg/Nash/Steiner 3-Way match where Goldberg was unprofessional because he didn't go up for the jackknife (announcers words) and Steiner & Nash were great because they had to improvise the rest of the match. That is by far the worst booking I have ever seen in my life.

anarchistxx
Mark Henry is definitely turning at Hell In The Cell. Another tedious example of a native joining the evil foreign heel. Don't they have any fresh ideas? The whole Rusev character and feud is so backwards.
Strummer
Anyone think the " AJ can't find a tag partner" angle will lead to Kaitlyn returning? Anything else makes her come across heelish or inept. I don't get how this company books its babyfaces

On the Vince Russo live youshoot (which I don't think has ever been officially released) didn't they do a game or bit where they compiled every pole match that occurred during his booking stints? I think there were a few dozen.

Anything else makes her come across heelish or inept. I don't get how this company books its babyfaces AJ and Brock Lesnar are the only two champions in WWE who are booked to look dominant. Is AJ really booked that dominant? Or is that more in comparison to the other champs? Her win-loss record has gotta be a near split as of late. Isn't the angle more "AJ doesn't want a tag partner"? The angle is pretty stupid, she's been a babyface since returning, but just doesn't come off that way. She's really stale and probably has one foot out the door anyway. Her size is starting to expose her, especially without Tamina. She gives up about half a foot and 20-30 pounds to nearly every other diva.
WingedEagle
I don't know that AJ is booked in what you'd call dominant fashion where she's mowing people down, but she never looks inept. She stands up to any adversary rather than backing down, she's never shown up on the mic and comes out on top in feuds. Its pretty simple and would be more effective on a champion/division that's meant to draw, but she's not portrayed as a joke at any point. Its a refreshing contrast to the way most champions are presented.
Matt D
I think it was a terrible decision to pull the Cena vs Ambrose pole match from the PPV and I don't quite get why they did it. I imagine that segment didn't really pop any numbers and it made the PPV much less of a fresh feeling draw, which is something they needed without the WWE title on the line. Russellmania
I think pulling that match was the best thing they could have done. They had a great thing going with Rollins and Ambrose and have really cooled off by forcing Cena into the mix. I mean seriously, how can anyone complain that we're getting Rollins/Ambrose HIAC?
Matt D
We were going to get Rollins/Ambrose HIAC anyway. The point is we were going to get both matches and now we're just going to get one and the other one was thrown away in a short segment, making a PPV that felt like it needed to be more stacked actually less stacked than it was a week ago. WingedEagle
Its better to promote Rollins/Ambrose as headliners in a featured match standing on their own. If they're going to be established as headliners they need to be pushed as stars rather than pieces in an episodic storyline that for better or worse would revolve around Cena. anarchistxx
They really ought to put some work into making a top class video package for Cena vs Orton, chronicling the feud and putting some importance on the match. Otherwise it will just be surreal and underwhelming.
Stiva
The problem with Cena/Orton is what the hell do they actually do to make this fresh? They've had a HIAC before, along with just about every gimmick match going and in their match at the Rumble, they finally resorted to the old "hitting your opponents finisher" tactic to try and make the finishing stretch interesting. I can't possibly imagine what they're going to do for this one.

Don't know if that is something the top face of the division should be doing. Emma has been portrayed as the happy go lucky babyface so running out on her comes across rather dickish. I guess it's better with Layla as she's a heel but it still is a weird angle
Russellmania
yeah AJ leaving poor Emma to get her ass kicked is about the most dickish thing she could do since Emma is so likeable and completely undeserving of that. but tbh I don't even question this stuff anymore because the booking of this company has been so fundamentally broken for years
shakla
I suppose AJ became a babyface by default when she came back, but her character and attitude haven't changed at all. WWE probably assumed because she is/was popular (leaning toward "was" since she usually gets no reaction coming out anymore) that fans would accept the turn. Glad AJ isn't calling Paige a "crumpet" anymore. That was so douchey and reeks of bad WWE Creative.
