Johnny Sorrow
I dig it when they mention that they were both in OVW at the same time and debuted in WWF at the same time as part of the story. And that Orton was "heir apparent" and Cena almost got cut, but took a last gasp grab when an opportunity arose, worked his ass off, and became THE MAN, while Orton's mainly been a heel who's been both in real life and kayfabe TV world, an admitted entitled kid given too much too soon, who is amazingly successful, but always in the shadow of Cena. Who is a hard working guy, which is his character and is his real self. And therefore they always have a built in reason to feud them, put them in a match, shit..team them for a bit but it never works out. It's a groovy wrestling story, ala Terry/ Dusty, Lawler/ Dundee, and a bit of Hogan/ Savage. Not as great as those, but a pretty fucking good story when you think about it. Coffey
I thought the PPV was tonight. Had no idea what the card was, so went to WWE.com to check. Turns out the PPV is still a week away. This is what happens when you stop watching the TV. I have no idea why some of those matches are happening & I'm not sure if I care. Ha! Anything that I need to know I pick up from reading here. Petey
I'm surprised Vince hasn't put AJ in an angle where she falls in love and aligns with a male wrestler in hopes that it turns into a shoot just to spite Punk.

sek69
I like that "Royal Rumble Stats" style promo they did for Hell in a Cell. I still maintain "THAT'S GOTTA BE KANE" is Announcer Vince at his peak.

sek69
I liked Foley's promo, but bringing him out is just going to remind people of his match in the cell and how anything done in 2014 is going to pale in comparison.
Jmare007
I think Rollins is crazy enough to take a dangerous/stupid bump in the new cell. One from the top is completely out of the question but I could see him doing something similar to Shawn in 97'. Instead of being pushed from the top, being pushed half way down or something like that. Can they still use thumbtacks? I think the last time I saw them was Edge/Foley at Mania and ONS I. That could also be a big spot with Ambrose.

anarchistxx
Couldn't get through a single scene on that Raw. Who is writing this shit? Orton is awkward as fuck, Cena's 'comedy' is unberably cringe worthy every time. Don't even get me started on Dean Ambrose - they have this loose cannon, chaotic, lunatic character and now every week he is doing all this over-manufactured, badly scripted rubbish where he plays pranks and brings out props and has a joke, which is the complete opposite of why people liked him and what he was originally presented as. Whoever writes the comedy stuff for WWE needs to go. And that is before you get to the heel weighted 'Handicap' main event, because god forbid creative come up with something original on the go home show for a PPV instead of something they have done a million times already. The roster is too thin for the time slot, the same workers are in scene after scene, and yet they can only spare the Divas a few minutes each when in Brie vs Nicki and AJ vs Paige they have two feuds that could become molten if some thought was put into the writing and presentation. They should have built from Summerslam to Brie vs Nicki inside the cell, would have been intriguing at least. Seeing Big E Langston reminds you how bad the writing is, how often they push a guy to the moon for a few months and then go totally cold on him and use him as a jobber until he gets future endeavored. Mick Foley and Paul Heyman were the only promos worth a damn on the entire three hour running time. Shambolic.
iamthedoctor
For someone who hasent followed WWE properly since 2008 time whats the best way to get back into it? From time to time Id check out odd clip if a old fav has come back but generally not impressed with either Shield or Wyatts. The only time I did watch a PPV match in full was probably the Rumble 2014 match but skipped the other matches and id say the Andre Battle Royale and the 2 Bryan mania matches I saw. Aside from that I havent watched anything recent.
Coffey
I watched the show last night. First RAW I have watched in close to two months, I think. I did not feel like anything had changed. It was Big E. Vs. Rusev in a match which was the feud I remembered Rusev already having. Main event was John Cena & Randy Orton shenanigans. Same match we've had for ten years. The midcard is all interchangeable, pretty much, but why am I supposed to care about Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro or The Miz? They're just there. They have no goals or motivations. Wins and losses don't matter. What bothered me the most though, was the Dean Ambrose & John Cena stuff. I didn't see the Contract on a Pole match live but I did see the replays they showed. So John Cena & Dean Ambrose have a match where the winner gets to wrestle Seth Rollins inside a Hell in a Cell. The loser, however, gets to wrestle Randy Orton in a Hell in a Cell & the Randy Orton match is a #1 Contender's Match now? So Randy Orton does nothing & gets a #1 Contenders Match and the LOSER of the contract match gets a #1 Contender's Match? That does not make any sense whatsoever. I suppose the idea is supposed to be that it was Seth's idea, thinking that Orton might win, so that Orton can fight Brock and win or loss Seth can cash-in. That scenario still plays out the same if it's John Cena though...as we saw at the last PPV when Seth Curbstomped Brock. Orton hits the RKO on Heyman to plant the seeds for Orton/Brock. Seth hits the Curbstomp on Orton to plant the seeds for Rollins/Orton. Yet Cena will probably just win anyway. lol.

If you still don't like either after that, then you never will.

I'd suggest you just wait for the end of year lists to come out and go through it since 2014 has still been a good in-ring year for them, albeit a poorer one than 2013 due to no Bryan, less time for Cesaro, the Shield break-up etc. The Usos have had a great year though so maybe dip into their title defenses. I honestly think the booking, the presentation etc. is so bad right now, that you'll never get into it watching week to week but it remains a good in-ring company. Maybe watch NXT week to week, that's a world better than the main roster as an actual show.

Ryan Faulconer
Does Dolph Ziggler always wrestle like a bad wrestling video game? They had a huge stretch of move after move after move after move. They sold nothing until the finish. It probaly would have continued ad nauseam if they hadn't been halted when they found themselves in a corner.
Russellmania
Dolph might be the most overrated wrestler in years. 'Smarks' love him because he is such an acrobatic bumper, but that is honestly all he's good at. And he cuts the cringiest promos. Tyler Breeze could honestly replace Dolph Ziggler on the roster tomorrow and I wouldn't miss him.
Coffey
The one thing that Dolph is pretty good at, bumping, he does to such an over-exaggerated degree that it becomes a joke. Like a business exposing "holy shit that was corny" joke. He has never been a good seller & I think a lot of people confuse the two: bumping & selling. He is definitely overrated in some corners of the internet.

Ryan Faulconer
Yeah. Bumping instead of selling works in tag matches...but even then they should be selling something until they can transition or make a tag. Ziggler should stay exclusively in tags...if they don't release him when his contract is up. Was Dean Ambrose intentionally channeling Clint Eastwood at the Republican Party Rally last night? Why would anyone think that was a good idea? WWE must be more out of touch than most of us could ever dream. Yikes.
Eduardo
I went to a house show earlier this year, and saw they were having a Cesaro-Ziggler match. I was like, 'Oh cool, let's see what they do.'. They got like 10 minutes, but they worked about 8 minutes of it like this over the top, dramatic finishing stretch of a far longer match. It was so disjointed and disappointing.
