KrisZ Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 WWF had shows that aired on USA Network at this time such as special Garden shows and Cap Centre shows but that was it.
Wahoos Leg Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Injuries are random in real life so I support some type of randomized injury type/length system. However, I think we should determine how often said system is ran. I think the game is more challenging creatively if we don't use injuries to explain Japan tours. That's lazy booking. Â I agree with Dylan, that retirements are never permanent, unless career ending (Magnum). Maybe a maximum age limit? They could still be used seconds, referees, angles, but no matches. Â Are we going to acknowledge things like Magnum's accident happening, or is this now a different timeline?
KrisZ Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Well regarding Magnum we gotta make it 3 years before that happens
Matt D Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Maybe a maximum age limit? They could still be used seconds, referees, angles, but no matches. Â Whoa there. Let's not kill any territories here.
goodhelmet Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 For retirements, how about this as a compromise... Â With the exception if Terry Funk who is already penciled in as a retiree (or not), let people use them up until the next 6 month period. So, the next draft/trade takes place in January... even if a guy retires in November, the promoter can get some extra mileage out of them and won't feel rhe pain because there will be an infusion of new talent in the territory as it is.
Flyin' Brian Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 I thought we were bringing in new talent monthly now?
goodhelmet Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 We are. I am talking about the 6 month reshaping/draft that was supposed to take place unless that was axed altogether.
Grimmas Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 We are. I am talking about the 6 month reshaping/draft that was supposed to take place unless that was axed altogether. It will still happen. I think that is a great compromise. Â At 6 months I was picturing a save 8 guys re-shaping draft. Where it can go 5 rounds and everyone except the saves are available. If nobody gets drafted off your roster they can stay with you. Something along those lines, set for January.

RocketCrypt Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 I'm a little lost on how we're handling the influx of new talent. They're coming in monthly now rather than every six months, right? How do we determine where they start off?
goodhelmet Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 That part hasn't been determined yet. We should probably create a Debuts thread to discuss new wrestlers.
Grimmas Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 Debuts monthly. Â Re-distribution draft every 6 months.

goc Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 I would not have an issue with that type of re-shaping draft in 6 months then. Â I'm not sure how necessary it is though since everyone already seems to be planning out trades in the future once guys finish their "runs" so I don't think things would get stagnant if we didn't have one at all.

I like the idea of plans being thrown off by the game.
dedhemingway Posted June 26, 2015 Report Posted June 26, 2015 As an aside, in situations like that of Terry, will he become available again on the date he did in reality, or is retirement permanent?
dawho5 Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 I thought it had been stated that we wouldn't have the draft at 6 months in the August Freelancers thread? I'm okay with either, but I'd prefer we picked one and stuck with it.

Re-distribution draft was always in play and I have never seen it dismissed before.
dawho5 Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 I'm sorry, it was the Guys Eligible in August 1983 thread. Should we maybe have a focused thread for that discussion and figure out what we want to do?
JerryvonKramer Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 I thought we said the 6-month draft was off? I really don't want a redistribution draft. If there's another draft it should only consist of guys who are cut for wharver reason.
goodhelmet Posted June 27, 2015 Report Posted June 27, 2015 That is why the discussion is still open. It hasn;t been resolved yet.
