KawadaSmile Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 Those few next NXT tapings are WILD. Quote
C.S. Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 And Ive never gotten the shits from Chick Fil-A. Happened to me once with a grilled chicken sandwich or something like that, and I was an hour away from a bathroom. Not a fun experience. Their food is generally pretty good though (for fast food), if a little too greasy for my increasingly sensitive old man palette. Wait, how did we end up in this conversation? Back on topic: Johnny Gargano rules. Quote
Loss Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 It's not any weirder a name than Big E. Is he a really huge letter of the alphabet? Quote
Johnny Sorrow Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 It's not any weirder a name than Big E. Is he a really huge letter of the alphabet? Somewhere in the crevices of Vinces mind resides a brief thought that if only the Haiti Kid was alive he could do Little E. Oh, and I found out today that Chick Fil-A got rid of their cold chicken salad on wheat. Im outraged and will just settle for the classic. Quote
Zoo Enthusiast Posted February 3, 2018 Report Posted February 3, 2018 In the least surprising turn of events ever, Bate vs Strong was awesome this week. What a night of matches that Takeover crowd had. The Orlando territory is on fire. Quote
ZThomas Posted February 4, 2018 Report Posted February 4, 2018 Just watched Takeover, That Main Event was Warrior vs Savage the Super Indy version 😅 I gotta see it again. Quote
Sean Liska Posted February 4, 2018 Report Posted February 4, 2018 Those few next NXT tapings are WILD. It sounded a little more creatively ambitious than the usual solid and steady NXT TV. Gabe influence possibly? Now I'm fantasy booking real life but how funny would it be if the story turns out that HHH started his own ROH, Gabe gets hired and finds his 2004-2008 juice, and we have another great run like the old days. Unlikely I know, but I enjoy these real-life storylines like Akiyama trying to restore some glory to AJPW. Quote
Blehschmidt Posted February 5, 2018 Report Posted February 5, 2018 Looking at the upcoming tapings, what the fuck happened to Lars Sullivan? Hurt? Wellness? I don't remember hearing anything. Quote
PeteF3 Posted February 5, 2018 Report Posted February 5, 2018 Looking at the upcoming tapings, what the fuck happened to Lars Sullivan? Hurt? Wellness? I don't remember hearing anything. Sometimes this stuff just happens, seemingly. We don't really know where Velveteen Dream went to during the previous tapings. AOP were also completely absent a few tapings ago, though that may have been due to a call-up that was pushed back. Quote
ZThomas Posted February 6, 2018 Report Posted February 6, 2018 Ember is a wrestler whos kind of a mystic war goddess just like Stevie Nicks is a singer whos kind of a gypsy witch. I dig it. She's far from the Bitchy or Ratchet type character that everyone except Bayley and Asuka has on the Roster so that's good. Vince would probably see her as a Sasha or Naomi type at first glance, They won't know how to use her just like with Bayley, she'll come in over but she'll be cooled off quick Quote
Zoo Enthusiast Posted February 7, 2018 Report Posted February 7, 2018 Looking at the upcoming tapings, what the fuck happened to Lars Sullivan? Hurt? Wellness? I don't remember hearing anything. Sounds like hurt and out a couple months. Quote
Ricky Jackson Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 Almas vs Gargano IV was fucking awesome, if there was any doubt it would be Quote
hammerva Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 Ciampa waving Gargano goodbye AFTER he leaves the area and he can't see just amazing coldness and incredible heel work. Quote
Ricky Jackson Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 Yeah, I loved that. The anticipation they've built for that feud has been great Quote
Gutenberger Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 i got something in my eye when Candice sat down next to Johnny after the match, it was such a great callback to the DIY moments. yeah, there was definitely something in my eye there. Quote
WingedEagle Posted February 22, 2018 Report Posted February 22, 2018 Johnny Gargano is the freaking best. I have no idea what his ceiling is but I'm looking forward to watching. How have I not done a deep dive on his pre-NXT work yet? Quote
SomethingSavage Posted February 23, 2018 Report Posted February 23, 2018 Maybe because the same people who are praising him now were the same critics bashing him during all his pre-NXT work? Just a wild guess, of course. But yeah. Basically nobody had much love for Gargano before he took the trip to Full Sail. Quote
Robert S Posted February 24, 2018 Report Posted February 24, 2018 I thought he was a good hand in Chikara as part of FIST, though maybe a bit bland compared to Chuck Taylor and Icarus. I have not seen any of his work in Dragon Gate USA and Evolve. Quote
Matt D Posted February 24, 2018 Report Posted February 24, 2018 Maybe because the same people who are praising him now were the same critics bashing him during all his pre-NXT work? Just a wild guess, of course. But yeah. Basically nobody had much love for Gargano before he took the trip to Full Sail. So the NXT system of honing talent works? Quote

Let's hope they can hone those bland indy geeks Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O'Reily. They're been boring charisma vacuums in NXT. Quote
Seabs Posted February 24, 2018 Report Posted February 24, 2018 Gargano's a lot lot better in NXT than he was before NXT and it's all character work. He isn't really doing much different ring work wise but the difference is that he got himself over as a personality and not just dude having good to great matches. The DIY team were never supposed to be pushed hard but they got over above their push and unlike on the main roster they ran with it and it just turned into a steamroller of momentum. A lot of the credit really should go to The Revival because that was what took them from a team of Indy guys that everyone liked because they were good wrestlers to white hot babyfaces. Quote

Could be this... WrestlingInc.com: WWE Reportedly Not Publicizing Drug Testing Policy Violations From NXT And Developmental Talent Quote
Ricky Jackson Posted March 1, 2018 Report Posted March 1, 2018 Legit LOL when Mauro wished Gargano "the best of luck in his future endeavours" Quote
sek69 Posted March 8, 2018 Report Posted March 8, 2018 Spoilering this since it happened at the tapings tonight but Regal announced the creation of a NXT North American title. No word on if a Louisiana title will follow... Quote
