Cross Face Chicken Wing Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 Looking at these initial stats and taking in some of the chatter on the board and on podcasts, I think Daniel Bryan has a much bigger shot to finish No. 1 than I initially thought he would. Quote
jdw Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 There was a total of 152 voters! 151 voted for the GWE. 54 voted for the tag teams section. WOW! Well done, folks. Amazing number. Quote
jdw Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 How are the results being revealed? I will post a list of nominees not getting votes today. Then start with the lowest ranked wrestlers moving forward to number 1. Expect the final 3 to come out the last day of April. Love it! That was one of the most fun things about GWE 1.0: the slow reveal and building drama. Quote
Microstatistics Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 95.2% considered Old School Territories (Mid South, Memphis, etc...) Underestimated the love someone like Lawler was going to get. Didn't put him in my March Madness Top 10 predictor list because I thought a sizable portion of people would exclude him due to unfamiliarity but I guess not. Quote
tim Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 Anyone know how many ballots the 2006 SC poll got? Quote
funkdoc Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 Anyone know how many ballots the 2006 SC poll got? ~40 IIRC Quote
elliott Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 Can I ask how many wrestlers made the 2006 top 100 that didn't make the 2016 top 100? Quote
Grimmas Posted April 5, 2016 Author Report Posted April 5, 2016 Anyone know how many ballots the 2006 SC poll got? ~40 IIRC 49 Quote

Jimmy Redman Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 As a stats geek this is all VERY exciting. Quote
tim Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 Anyone know how many ballots the 2006 SC poll got? ~40 IIRC 49 So only about a quarter of those who participated in the 2006 poll participated in this, interesting. Quote
JerryvonKramer Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 Just wanted to say somewhere GREAT job on this Steven. I give you a hard time sometimes, but this is really and truly an amazing job! Quote
DylanZero Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 Just using this as a more general thread as was mentioned...I love so much that this list and this thread exists with all these cool stats. Would love to know the one guy who solely sent in a tag team list. I thought there'd be more personally. Quote
donsem43 Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 Who turned in the last ballot? I'd love to know who was the biggest procrastinator I doubt I was the last ballot, but I literally didn't start ranking people till Sunday at 10:30 am MDT. Quote

Would love to know the one guy who solely sent in a tag team list. I thought there'd be more personally. It was Tim Noel. He talked about it in one of these threads. Quote
jpchicago23 Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 I can't wait until the top 125 or so. I'm going to make it a plan/project to watch at least 5 matches of each guy that I don't have in my top 100 that made the cut. Also reevaluate guys that I have a 30 spot difference or higher on Quote

jpchicago23 Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 Yea I think it'll be a good way to evaluate guys that are widely considered greats. And once I'm done watching I can make a new list and compare Quote
anarchistxx Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 7.94% of voters participated in 2006 Smarkschoice poll. Only twelve voters left from that poll, then. About 20%. Suppose a decade is a long time. Turnout for this was excellent, organisers did a fantastic job. Quote
dedhemingway Posted April 8, 2016 Report Posted April 8, 2016 Seeing this come to fruition has made me a little sad that I didn't submit a ballot. For the best, too much happened for me to give it the go it truly deserved. Excited for the results (and stats!) though. Quote
BAMptb Posted April 8, 2016 Report Posted April 8, 2016 Seeing this come to fruition has made me a little sad that I didn't submit a ballot. For the best, too much happened for me to give it the go it truly deserved. Excited for the results (and stats!) though. I went back and forth on whether to submit one for a year. Finally got convinced by all of the guys and their podcasts (which by the way I have loved all of them). I'm pleased to see the turnout. Quote
