The lack of price and month/year in the upper right corner is a dead giveaway that it isn't a legitimate vintage PWI back issue. That guy probably isn't even a real wrestler. A Google image search turned up several different covers with that exact same template, so there appears to be some kind of service that lets people dress up as wrestlers and puts them on a fake PWI cover. Here are a few more examples.

The women who made up 50% of wrestling's audience in the 1950s, were they "losers" watching men wrestle "for the wrong reasons"?

When Shida and Hayter add 80,000 viewers, does the demo breakdown eliminate "losers watching for the wrong reasons", or are they counted as valid viewers?

Being attracted to athletic women makes one a "loser"? Was Lars from Lars and the Real Girl a "loser" for having artificial female company?

I get it - I gatekeep with the best of them. I gatekeep my christian name. But it's such a leap, from a throwaway line in Xmas cheer to be extrapolated into some sort of greater misogyny. Personally, I watch the ladies wrestle, and I've not found a lady wrestler attractive since Summer Rae.

I would expect it's probably a reference to the weirdos who were obsessed with the bathing suit style gear from 80s All Japan Women. 

It's not like there being a creepy subculture of women's wrestling fans who are WAY into it and give off "this guy is probably on a list somewhere" vibes  is somehow a new idea.  Hell, I'd argue a lot of it probably came from wrestling mags in the 80s having apartment catfighting ads that were barely disguised pornos.

Speaking of potentially amazing feuds that never came to fruition, the most recent retro Observer has an interesting tidbit about Jake Roberts in AAA. Konnan wanted to do the program with Terry Funk, but Antonio Pena had never heard of Funk and then marked out when he found out Jake the Snake was available. One can only imagine how the Funker trying to rile up Mexican fans would have gone. He genuinely might not have made it back alive.

Didn’t they “add 80,000 viewers” in the 1-minute overrun that the show doesn’t usually have?

How on earth would a promoter in Mexico be a huge fan of Jake Roberts but have never even heard of Terry Funk?

Especially considering Pena wasn't just a promoter, he was an active wrestler when Funk was NWA World champion.
