FMKK Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 The weekly TV thread. Hopefully the Reigns open challenge continues and Kane being a heat sink for Braun does not Quote
FMKK Posted December 5, 2017 Author Report Posted December 5, 2017 Jason Jordan gets loads of heat for 2017. I actually think he'll be a decent heel promo once her turns. Quote
Loss Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 I've enjoyed a lot of what I've seen lately in WWE, but I don't think I've seen anything that captures the aspects of current wrestling that I hate more than Elias calling Kurt Angle's son a bastard and Kurt's response including the phrase "WWE Universe". EricR Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 Reigns/Jordan was tremendous, every part of it. Cruiser match was fun and I love Gulak getting more and more attention. I usually fast forward pretty liberally through Raw and Smackdown, but I probably watched more of this Raw than any all year. Quote

TheDuke Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 I really liked the Jordan Reigns match. The main event I think I fell asleep during though. The Matt Hardy promo was good, I can't wait to see what he does next. Quote
sek69 Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 I love when the crowd reacts like they did to the Matt Hardy stuff. You could feel the buzz of "oh shit, are they really going to do it?" building up to the pop for him calling for Bray's DEEEELEEESHON. Quote
C.S. Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 I just hope WWE doesn't ruin it by having the ice cold Bray win "because he's owed one." He's absolutely awful and his character is beyond repair at this point after so many start-stop pushes and losses. I'm not sure what the solution is, but a win over Matt Hardy isn't it. Quote

Six months off TV and a repackaging where he's kept solidly in the midcard is about the only solution. They shouldn't be above throwing him down to NXT for a while to get some buzz back about him. Hawkeye12 Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 I don't care who wins the Bray vs Matt singles feud, but if it leads to the Wyatts vs Hardys at some remote location preferably for WM (think Goldust vs Piper), I'm all in. Just make it better than the House of Horrors match with Orton. Quote
DMJ Posted December 5, 2017 Report Posted December 5, 2017 The idea of Wyatt going back to NXT sounds like a great idea that kills a couple birds with a few stones. First, Wyatt would benefit from time away from TV - but I can see why they'd want to keep him on the RAW house show circuit. So, keep him on house shows, let him appear at an NXT taping and I'm guessing it'll work out. Second, that last NXT: Takeover was a really solid show, but I do think there is still a bit of a dearth of star power. You throw Wyatt in there and have him feud with Aleister Black? That's money and, when Black defeats him, you've elevated Black more than giving him a win over anyone else, including Almas. Third, while you could just have Wyatt show up with no new family members, you do have the option of having him recruit family members at NXT or show up at NXT with new back-up. Its obviously not a recipe for longterm success (see the Bludgeon Brothers), but if the Wyatt character is ever going to work as it is now, you kind of need this cult leader to actually lead a cult. Bray going back to where it all started to find redemption or whatever is totally the sort of bullshit that character would do as well. Quote
Jmare007 Posted December 8, 2017 Report Posted December 8, 2017 No thread on Sheamus having spinal stenosis?? That's the injury that ended up retiring Edge and Austin. Quote
goc Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 No thread on Sheamus having spinal stenosis?? That's the injury that ended up retiring Edge and Austin. Considering that WWE didn't opt to do a tag title change on Raw when they had the chance I have to assume that Sheamus' spinal stenosis is nowhere near as serious as Edge's was. I would guess it's the lower back type and not in his neck. Quote
hammerva Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 So 4 -6 month of dealing with Jinder Mahal as the champion and the end result is Triple H winning clean to Jinder in AbuDhabi. Don't get me wrong Triple H on crutches is better than Jinder but man talk about a lot not for nothing And it still wouldn't surprise me if he beats Styles for the title at Clash of Champions or whatever the next show is Quote
El-P Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 It's only to have Jinder win the title back today in Delhi. I would guess. Quote

El-P Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 Good ol' Trip, student of the Game. Quote
PeteF3 Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 If it were "just" a house show then I doubt HHH would be wrestling on it (in a 25-minute match). Quote
Jmare007 Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 This whole Jinder thing reminds me of Del Rio in 2011, when they "had" to put the belt on him and fuck over the Summer of Punk because they wanted him to be champ for a big Mexico tour...only for ADR to lose the belt before the tour and then win it back just in time for those shows and (IIRC) making zero difference on ticket sales. Quote
El-P Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 Its just a house show. In fucking INDIA ! That's why the WWE Universe suffered through this entire godawful Jinder Mahal main event push for months ! Awful matches, awful PPV main events, racist angles and whatnot. Because the fucking Indian Markettm. And in the end, Triple H beats the guy in Delhi ? Bwahahahahah ! Quote
El-P Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 (in a 25-minute match). Let it never saw the light of day. Please. Quote
Richeyedwards Posted December 9, 2017 Report Posted December 9, 2017 (in a 25-minute match). Let it never saw the light of day. Please. Apparently it was the wwe big match formula and jinder was put over because he got to kick out of 3 pedigrees while hhh kicked out of one of jinders finishes at least that is what someone on Reddit thought the idea behind that was. Also post match there are photos of jinder shaking hands with hhh and bowing to him like he is the conqueror. It is all very Triple H https://imgur.com/a/P5rwp Quote
