Mysterio isn't Rey's last name, because Rey ISN'T A FIRST NAME TO BEGIN WITH !!!! Means KING in Spanish !!! He's not Raymond Mysterio !!! Hijo de Rey Mysterio Jr. would sound so cool and lucha. (which of course, wouldn't fit him one bit, but hey). This reminds of me of how Loss would lose his shit because of the extra I in IIconics. Just marvelous stuff. Quote

For the longest time when I saw the name I wasn't sure if it was two I or a capital I and a simple l. Pretty sure me brain read "ilconics" for quite a while too ! Quote
KawadaSmile Posted March 16, 2022 Author Report Posted March 16, 2022 I sometimes read it as Twoconics just for the absurdity of it all. Quote
TheDuke Posted March 16, 2022 Report Posted March 16, 2022 I vote for calling him Rey Mysterio Number Three. Quote
sek69 Posted March 16, 2022 Report Posted March 16, 2022 At some point Rey wanted him to use the name "Principe Mysterio" which wold make sense since the son of the King would be a Prince. Quote
NintendoLogic Posted March 17, 2022 Report Posted March 17, 2022 Interesting choice since Cardiff seems to be a bit of a distance from the UK's major population centers. I guess we'll see how popular WWE still is in the country. What's Mason Ryan up to these days? Quote
sek69 Posted March 17, 2022 Report Posted March 17, 2022 Seems like a huge amount of fans make it to Mania every year from the UK, one would think this wouldn't be seen as too far a drive them. Quote
Stiva Posted March 17, 2022 Report Posted March 17, 2022 With it being September, most of the major stadiums will be used for the football season that will have just begun so the Millennium is the best choice, I think. They would have been better off trying to schedule it for July or early August if they wanted to hit England proper. Quote
Timbo Slice Posted March 17, 2022 Report Posted March 17, 2022 They’re doing September as a post-SummerSlam international tour ender, I’d wager, similar to when they’d do one post-WrestleMania. Quote

Based on comments on the F4W board, the opposite is true. They apparently consider two hours an outrageous amount of time to travel for a sports or entertainment event. I guess it's true what they say: Americans think 100 years is a long time and Europeans think 100 miles is a long distance. Quote
Reel Posted March 18, 2022 Report Posted March 18, 2022 Roderick Strong showed up on NXT:UK this week if that's your kinda thing. Had a good match with Wolfgang and challenged Ilja. The Bate match in the open of the show was good too. Quote

NotJayTabb Posted March 18, 2022 Report Posted March 18, 2022 There is a part of me that wonders if they'll use any of their Welsh talent from NXT UK on the show. Feels like they could have done a Tegan Nox title chase story if she'd survived the last cull. Quote

NotJayTabb Posted March 18, 2022 Report Posted March 18, 2022 I mean, for a few years the only sighting of Mansoor was picking up wins on the Saudi shows, they can at least give us Wild Boar beating Tozawa in the opener Quote

IDK, depending on the person, ie Kurt Angle 2001 and John Cena the year he decided to fight Taker, it can work. But yeah, it needs to be the right entitled weenie to be entertaining. Quote

Years later Aniston was asked about it, and she was like “Oh that dumb shit that I was dating the Puzzler or something?” Quote
sek69 Posted March 18, 2022 Report Posted March 18, 2022 IIRC it even made its way to the National Enquirer or some other supermarket tabloid. Quote

Strummer Posted March 19, 2022 Report Posted March 19, 2022 Yeah PWI reporting .Cody has signed with wwe. sounds like he won't debut until mania Quote
sek69 Posted March 19, 2022 Report Posted March 19, 2022 lol wrestling journalism is funny sometimes, everyone fighting to be the first to report that Cody has signed with the only other company that could pay him what he was looking for. Like I get it, but mf'ers act like they just solved the JFK assassination. Quote
El-P Posted March 19, 2022 Report Posted March 19, 2022 Not to mention Meltz on his last Raw report was totally like "Yeah, nothing has changed, Cody is gonna be at Mania against Seth". This really is like, to the surprise of no one. Also, as much as I was curious a few weeks back, now I'm like, yeah, whatever. Quote
