sek69 Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 I was disappointed in the payoff, the bride and groom should have come out to Pomp and Circumstance with the groom wearing a lime green suit with tassels and a matching cowboy hat. Then he could have picked her up and sat her on his shoulder while he walked around the ballroom twirling one finger.
rovert Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 I think CM Punk is actively trying to break every single convention in this thread on Raw tonight: http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?showtopic=10228
KrisZ Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 The best was CM Punk calling himself a wrestler and Cole correcting him saying he is a superstar. Lawler fires back with Cole must be the sports in sports entertainment.

Bix Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 And he's wearing a"We [star of David] Colt!" shirt!
sek69 Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Pointing out King Kofi Kingston wouldn't have great initials was pretty humorous.
sek69 Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 So was Tamina honoring Mae Young by wearing one of her ring outfits from 1939?
Bix Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Punk said the F word - FansAnd wrestling! Also: Lawler was awesome.
sek69 Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Interesting seeing Lawler take the biggest bumps I've seen him do in years (possibly ever?) just a few weeks after having surgery to clear infection out of his knee.
Guest kowking Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Interesting seeing Lawler take the biggest bumps I've seen him do in years (possibly ever?) just a few weeks after having surgery to clear infection out of his knee. Sad to see such horseshit booking.

Phil Schneider Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 Interesting seeing Lawler take the biggest bumps I've seen him do in years (possibly ever?) just a few weeks after having surgery to clear infection out of his knee. Lawler was one of the biggest bumpers in wrestling history.
rovert Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 I know it is a gimmick match but that was Lawler's best WWE match, yeah?
Johnny Sorrow Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 I know it is a gimmick match but that was Lawler's best WWE match, yeah?It was definately the coolest, since I was actually cheering at the TV as they got me hook, line, and sinker as I was thinking for a minute that Jerry Lawler was gonna win the WWE Belt. That's some first class rasslin' right there.
Jingus Posted November 30, 2010 Report Posted November 30, 2010 I know it is a gimmick match but that was Lawler's best WWE match, yeah? Not like there's much competition, outside of maybe a couple of the Bret matches.
Guest kowking Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 Interesting seeing Lawler take the biggest bumps I've seen him do in years (possibly ever?) just a few weeks after having surgery to clear infection out of his knee. Sad to see such horseshit booking. Â Â You were expecting Lawler to win the title? Â No. But I can't fathom why WWE thought it would be a good idea to book it so that their world heavyweight champion couldn't beat an old man without the help of THREE different people. I certainly didn't expect Miz to squash Lawler -- that would be unentertaining on a number of levels -- but no world heavyweight champion should come so close to losing despite such overwhelming odds in his favor while wrestling an old guy. And yes: I understand that the Miz is a chickenshit, onscreen. But that doesn't make up the difference to me. Â I'm just glad they don't have him imitating Chris Jericho, like they did with Swagger.
Loss Posted December 1, 2010 Author Report Posted December 1, 2010 I don't know, I'm expecting an '01/'02-like Jericho run from Miz.
rovert Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 I don't know, I'm expecting an '01/'02-like Jericho run from Miz. In a twist the Miz will mind Steph's children not her dog.
Guest kowking Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 I don't know, I'm expecting an '01/'02-like Jericho run from Miz. I meant Serious Jericho, like they out of nowhere had Serious Swagger. An 01-02-like Jericho run wouldn't be something the Miz is incapable of.
Jingus Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 Oh, you mean "in an awesome feud with the Rock which made him look like a legitimate top guy" Jericho, not "pathetic toady to Stephanie and no threat whatsoever to God Emperor HHH" Jericho. One did follow hard upon the other.
Guest kowking Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 Rock-Jericho was awesome... except for the matches
Loss Posted December 1, 2010 Author Report Posted December 1, 2010 What? None of the rematches were at the level of the first one, but No Mercy was fantastic, one of the better matches in the history of the company I'd say. Really great dynamic with a hot crowd.
El-P Posted December 1, 2010 Report Posted December 1, 2010 Just watched Timeline of WWE 1977-1978. Amazing to hear Superstar still convinced that Bob Backlund was a huge mistake, that he had zero charisma, that he never drew a dime and that MSG audience hated him from day one. Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story. Basically, Superstar still seems jealous and bitter about him not becoming Hulk Hogan.

That's what I meant. I shouldn't post so late.
