sek69 Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but Jim "clawmaster" Zordani passed away late Friday night/Saturday morning. I believe he posted here as claw64, and besides being the go-to guy for results of seemingly every wrestler ever, he was a fun guy to interact with online.
kjh Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Yeah, he was a great guy. The online wrestling community will be a lesser place without him. Very sad news.
pantherwagner Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Fuck, that is terrible. That same Friday he was sharing songs on his facebook. Jim was a great man with a tremendous sense of humour who always was helpful and friendly. Thanks for sharing.
Sidebottom Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Christ, he was only posing here the other day in the WON HOF thread
khawk20 Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 I've known Jim online for well over a decade. Great guy all around. I'll miss him.
JerryvonKramer Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 I didn't know him, but this is a sad loss. I think anyone who has spent any time at all doing research on historical stuff will have come across his work in some shape or form. The results are an invaluable resource. Seems so sudden when he was posting just the other day.
Matt D Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 His work was a huge resource back when the AWA set watching was going on. I was happy to see when he started posting here a bit more frequently. Big loss to the community.
Marty Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Very sad news. I didn't know Clawmaster personally, but he was among those that was a joy to read and great to learn from. What really makes me sad is, according to WrestlingClassics, he was only 50.
KrisZ Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Wow......that is crazy because yeah he just posted his HOF ballot. Jim was a tremendous resource for me when I started gathering results and the fact that he is gone is a tragedy for any old school wrestling internet fan. RIP Clawmaster
Dewar Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Damn. This is totally unexpected. Talked to Jim online for over a decade now, starting way back in the day during the WrestlingClassics AOL chats. Really nice guy, he will be missed.
El-P Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 I really didn't know him, but this is a sad sad news. Yeah, feels eerie when he was posting just a few days ago.
victory Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 I'm speechless. Very shocking. Really good guy from are interactions on other boards.
Moonsault Marvin Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 Really sad news. I always liked reading his collection of match results.
Busterira Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 Terrible news. I have always had a great appreciation for Clawmaster considering he was an AWA and Chicago guy. Being a lifelong long resident of Chicago, I always loved reading his posts and results. A great loss to the online wrestling community. I have been reading his stuff for over 10+ years. His contributions to the wrestling sites can't be overstated. RIP Jim and my condolences to his family.
C.S. Posted September 16, 2014 Report Posted September 16, 2014 I didn't know Clawmaster, but a death that young is always very sad. Greg Oliver wrote a great piece about him on Slam Wresting. http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Wrestling/MatMatters/2014/09/15/21941926.html
GSR Posted September 17, 2014 Report Posted September 17, 2014 Really sad to read this today after being offline for a few days. Interacted with him a few times on another board and a gent of a chap who was always willing to help out and share his research/records.
rovert Posted September 19, 2014 Report Posted September 19, 2014 Greg Oliver gave him a nice send off http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Wrestling/MatMatters/2014/09/15/21941926.html
cheapshot Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 I missed this thread, and was on Wrestling Classics earlier and found out, really sad news indeed. Rip Jim.
