The Chief Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 Layout for the Chamber was fine but it was executed poorly, lots of nerves. Making Ascension the generals instead of Cesaro/Kidd was dumb. Ascension were horrible here. Quote

The Chief Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 I think that finish was an audible. Two nasty head drops on Paige minutes apart. That was ugly. Quote
WingedEagle Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 Divas Title: - Went to the bathroom and talked to the wife. - Put away the WON from the last month or so that I hadn't stapled yet. - Got ice cream. - Saw the finish on replay. Good stuff. Quote
hammerva Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 Are we sure that Paige doesn't have a broken neck from that sloppy finisher Naomi tried. Naomi went from being the diva who did fancy moves great and basic moves horribly to the complete opposite Quote
Dylan Waco Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 Both of the first two matches were spotty, clusterfucks, hurt by the involvement of more people than the match needed. The second match was still better Quote
Parties Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 I agree that the order of entrances/exits sucked, but PTP-New Day was fun violence. Titus and Cesaro threw dudes around. Whatever Kalisto was doing looked weird and Ascension always fail, but everyone else looked good. Would have been better to let them all do more, esp. Cesaro, but I don't think him/Kidd needed to win or even be in the last two teams for it to be a good match. PTP become newly worthy contenders for New Day, and you can run Cesaro/Kidd vs. Players in two weeks for #1 contendership. Quote
hammerva Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 By the way I wouldn't compare Kevin Owens facing Cena to Dr J debuting in the NBA after being a star in the ABA. Samoa Joe is that guy in my opinion. I would say Owens is more David Thompson or Mose Malone Quote
Jmare007 Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 Cena's gotta be trolling with this loud ass spot calling. It's worse than ever. Quote
Matt D Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 Whoever booked the order of eliminations in that match should be killed. Absolutely. The Ascension look good for the first time ever... taking out both high-energy Hispanic teams. Then they kill the PTPs' heat by having Darren take out Cesaro. I'm playing catch up. I thought that they looked good too. Especially Viktor, both his clubbering and his power offense. Quote
hammerva Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 Damn this match is everything I hoped it would be. Doesn't matter who wins or loses after the performance by both WOW THEY DID IT. Quote
goodhelmet Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 I have never been so happy to be wrong in my life. Quote
Jmare007 Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 Holy shit, he really is their new darling. Thank god he won, it got to annoying indy levels of kick outs but I'm happy with who won so I don't care Quote
(BP) Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 Goddam. I'd have that right behind Reigns/Lesnar for WWE moty. Hopefully Owens won't be returning the favor all Summer. Quote
hammerva Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 They even gave me a promo after the win. I can't remember them doing that for anyone. Quote
tim Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 Kevin Steen beating John Cena clean as a whistle on his "PPV" debut might be more improbable than Daniel Bryan main eventing Wrestlemania. Quote
Parties Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 I was worried when it started with a headlock rather than a chop to the throat, but this was the star treatment for sure, with a UFC post-fight promo at that. Quote
Ricky Jackson Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 Too many finisher kick outs but I can't complain about the outcome. Quote
funkdoc Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 holy shit cena as early 80s bruno confirmed Quote
tim Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 I think knowing the outcome and looking back, all the move spamming and kickouts work well. The problem with that stuff is that it seems lame and too much in a match that isn't legitimately epic and important. Given the outcome, that match was legitimately epic and important. Quote
WingedEagle Posted June 1, 2015 Report Posted June 1, 2015 Cena vs. Owens -- MOTYC. No idea how I rate that versus the Rumble 3-way, Brock/Reigns or Nak/Ibushi, but its right there. -- John Cena delivered one of the best performances of his career, and one of the most selfless I can recall any star ever delivering. He gave Owens everything, was beaten throughout, let him kick out of every one of his big moves and then went down clean as can be. -- Its premature & sounds crazy, but that's the type of performance that merits Wrestler of the Year consideration for Cena, either now or perhaps retrospectively. Performances like that, versus Zayn and others that put over new stars are just so rare and special and can only be delivered by someone at his level. Just incredible. Quote
