Bierschwale Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 Rollins has the world's worst heel offense. Quote
hammerva Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 So is this going to be like the last Owens match only about 20 minutes longer? Quote
Jimmy Redman Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 Your boy John is particularly pensive tonight Jimmy Redman He's thinking about his nose. Quote
goodhelmet Posted August 24, 2015 Author Report Posted August 24, 2015 Rollins has the world's worst heel offense. Â He's not a heel in this match. Quote
WingedEagle Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 Really odd that Rollins isn't going after the face nor the announcers even talking about it. I get they don't want to do anything too risky there, but given how hard it was pushed in the build you'd expect some kind of nod to it. Cena even acknowledged it when throwing punches by protecting his face, but the announcers refused to touch it. Quote
JerryvonKramer Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 They've name checked Flair enough times I'm half expecting him to come out to screw Cena and protect his record. Quote
Bierschwale Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 Â Rollins has the world's worst heel offense. Â He's not a heel in this match. Â Â Yeah, is this supposed to be WM 23 or something? A fucking frog splash? Quote
Bierschwale Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 OH GOD THE SUPERPLEX INTO A FALCON ARROW AGAIN, please kill me. Quote
Jmare007 Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 I swear I read someone predict that exact same finish weeks ago. Was it here? Quote
Cross Face Chicken Wing Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 WWE let the PR department book the finish to Cena/Rollins. Quote
Coffey Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 OK, that was stupid as fuck. That's some Vince Russo levels of stupid shit. Quote
goodhelmet Posted August 24, 2015 Author Report Posted August 24, 2015 US Title vs. WWE World Title - John Cena vs. Seth Rollins - I love Cena working in and out of the headlock since he is the heel in the building. He did the same with Punk. - Cena stole Bayley’s finisher!!!! - Rollins is a straight babyface in this match and his offense is completely babyface… running flip pin, top rope double knee dive, over the ropes plancha. - Rollins has a horrible Slingblade - Shit, Rollins stole Balor’s foot stomp… conspiracy! - That corner powerbomb started off awkward but Rollins recovered nicely - I loved Rollins countering the body press into his own AA - This was insane how they made Rollins out to be a face. He hits the AA. He reverses a figure four. Cena is trolling this crowd hard!!! - Rollins had me until the superplex roll through. - OK, the finish was hokey as fuck but I enjoyed the match a lot because Seth Rollins (in white no less) is a really great babyface. ...TG Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 Jon Stewart as the Anonymous Raw General Manager! Make it happen, Vince! Quote
hammerva Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 I am not sure what was worse. That the match was basically an exact replica of the Owens match last month in terms of moves moves moves or the goofy finish that does nothing but make Rollins look even weaker  Cool they are showing a MSG house show on the Network Quote
Jmare007 Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 Beast In The Garden should be really fun. Quote
Parties Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 Crowd looooooved Rollins. I'm not listening to the announcers, but from the audience response you would think he was the second coming of Savage or Steamboat. Really odd face-heel dynamic, but up until the Stewart interference the match was a ton of fun. I don't get the booking, but the action stole the show. "Thank you Stewart" chants from the fans during the interlude post-match. Quote
tim Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 It's insane how much more the crowd reacts to a Cena match than anything else on any show. Quote
cpst Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 I love how Byron Saxton's kayfabe outrage at the finish is also a shoot. Quote
goodhelmet Posted August 24, 2015 Author Report Posted August 24, 2015 I have the sinking feeling Owens is banged up and that may be the reason there was no pre-match show. There is plenty of time left and I expect it to still go on but it might be a 8-10 minute match instead of a 15-20 minute match. Quote
Strummer Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 I swear I read someone predict that exact same finish weeks ago. Was it here? Â Â that was me!! Exactly as I predicted!! Sorry guys! I still think Stewart would make a great heel manager Quote
JerryvonKramer Posted August 24, 2015 Report Posted August 24, 2015 Don't like it when they book an entire division into one match, lazy booking. They did it at WM too. Quote
