...TG
Man, if a wrestling pimp is problematic, wait until some bored journalist not in WWE's pocket decides to do some googling of Michael Hayes...
fakeplastictrees
So WWE inducts Michael Hayes in its HOF during Black History Month? Surely this is a rib on everyone involved right?
goc
The HOF is in February? This is the last day of the month, is it coming on after Raw??
SteveJRogers
The HOF is in February? This is the last day of the month, is it coming on after Raw?? HOF has been night before 'Mania since 2004.
SteveJRogers
Oh, I see it, FPT meant announcement of pending induction.
shakla
So WWE inducts Michael Hayes in its HOF during Black History Month? Surely this is a rib on everyone involved right? Â Well, it was on the leap day. Barely made the month.
hammerva
Maybe they are going to induct Little Richard Marley with the Freebirds
Strummer
Can't believe Terry Gordy has been dead almost 15 years. Shit and he barely made 40. He was less than 10 years older than Jericho to put in perspective
Coffey
Excited for the Freebirds. They certainly deserve it. The Hayes speech is going to be SO LONG.
sek69
It would be neat if they put up some Freebirds footage up on the Network to celebrate this occasion.
RCS1988
It would be cool if they showed that rare Jimmy Garvin WWE interview from 1992 with Gene Okerlund.
Coffey
It would be cool if they showed Garvin doing the "9-1-1" which was the Stone Cold Stunner, years before Austin was using it.
C.S.
It would be cool if they showed that rare Jimmy Garvin WWE interview from 1992 with Gene Okerlund. What was this about? I don't remember Garvin ever being in the WWF during this time. When did his Freebird run with Hayes end? I could swear they were still doing that into '92, but memory is a tricky thing... PeteF3
Garvin did a podium interview discussing the upcoming '92 Survivor Series from a heel perspective--predicting Flair & Razor would win their match and that Shawn would win the WWF title. It was a tryout of sorts for a non-wrestling role but it never came together for them. Â Garvin does the "9-1-1" during or after his match at SuperBrawl IV with Johnny B. Badd, so that's on the Network.
sek69
Hope no one in a mainstream media outlet assigned to do a puff piece on the WWE HOF finds the photo of the 'birds with the Confederate flag face paint.

Lee
Is there any footage of the Gordy & Garvin version of the team from 1994?Does anyone know anything about the "1st Annual Fabulous Freebirds Hot Fun in the Summer Time Golf Classic"? C.S.
Law, Order, and Justice get served to the WWE Hall of Fame with the induction of the Big Boss Man! Coffey
Love Boss Man. Well deserved. Shame he passed away & isn't there to accept. One of my favorite "big" guys over the years. He entertained me for a lot of years. He was damn funny when he wanted to be too.
funkdoc
this is the kind of induction i see most fans comparing to Rikishi or the Godfather, but there's plenty of meat to his career that isn't widely known. as Kris & Bix are fond of pointing out, he was one of Hogan's top 5 drawing opponents on the house-show circuit! Â definitely a worthy pick. it's interesting to look at how well-timed his babyface turn was, considering the big political craze of that time was "LAW & ORDER" "TOUGH ON CRIME" etc. i definitely think that played a part in him getting as over as he did. flyonthewall2983
He had a better heel run during the Attitude Era. He went to some really insane degrees to get heat, almost to the point of shamelessness but not going completely cringe-worthy.
flyonthewall2983
Depending on who else is getting inducted, this already has the potential of being a very depressing show.
