WingedEagle
Knowing Dylan, it is the latter. Â So much for his babyface turn.

goc
I eagerly await Dylan vs. AJPW consensus. But it better not come before he does the update to the "Dylan compares HHH to..." thread.
TravJ1979
If the undertaker had a different gimmick from 1990-2016, but all of his matches were EXACTLY the same in this alternate universe as they played out over the last 26 years we all observed ... would he have ranked in the top 100? Matt D
They wouldn't have since he was working as his gimmick demanded?
goc
More interesting would have been if he'd never gone back to being "The Deadman" and stayed the "American Bad Ass." It had some bad moments for sure but he did have the great HIAC match with Brock during that run but I loved his heel run where he was beating up on young guys like Maven & Jeff Hardy. He was also a GREAT promo during that time period. The promo with him in the graveyard before the Buried Alive match with Vince is one of the best promos ever imo. Dylan Waco
A lot of hipsters. Never had a craft beer in my life
Dylan Waco
Is the battle to reorder AJPW consensus or to destroy the consensus that AJPW was the best wrestling ever? I'll wait at least until the marathon show Kris and I dropped before I get to this, but I rate all of the vaunted AJPW workers from the 90s well and on the show even mention that if pressed I'd probably still call it the apex
GOTNW
UWF II is the peak of wrestling but there are plenty of other promotions/promotional runs I'd take over All Japan as well. If the question was specifically about a lengthy run then 90s All Japan might just take it. Surely there have already been threads discussing that very issue? Loss
GOTNW has a point. Without UWF 2.0 forcing the other companies to raise their game, 90s wrestling in Japan would have been something very different. I don't know how the pillars navigate feuds full of countouts and DQs.

Johnny Sorrow
They wouldn't have since he was working as his gimmick demanded? Totally. "Would Meadowlark Lemon be as loved if he played in the NBA his whole career?"
Goodear
Would Ric Flair be beloved if he was called Sparticus and wore an earring?
