Flyin' Brian Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 Ok, we've seen WWE take Women's wrestling to new heights and give their matches main event slots on Raw and PPV. So what I want to know is, when is WWE going to get serious about Midget Wrestling. #MidgetRevolution
Blehschmidt Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 They did just give 205 Live it's own General Manager. That's probably as close as you are gonna get.
Mad Dog Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 I kind of think in the current political climate that midget wrestling wouldn't go over well outside of the wrestling bubble.
NintendoLogic Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 A WWE-produced minis division would be such an absurd trainwreck that I actually really want to see it.
Kronos Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 Bruce and Conrad talk about that issue on their discussion of Badd Blood 1997, a show which has a minis tag match. Bruce says that they considered having a minis division but realized it wasn't practical because they'd have to bring in all of their workers from Mexico. There'd be a language issue, and that would make it difficult to build a whole division around.

Who knew that all the mini wrestlers were from Mexico?

KawadaSmile Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 It's a shame that Mascarita Dorada was mostly relegated as a comic relief mascot in WWE, because he is incredible
Zoo Enthusiast Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 It's a shame that Mascarita Dorada was mostly relegated as a comic relief mascot in WWE, because he is incredible At least we did get the amazing thing that was Wee-LC (and I was supposed to see it again last year in Swoggle’s fed but Torito was hurt and couldn’t go).
C.S. Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 I kind of think in the current political climate that midget wrestling wouldn't go over well outside of the wrestling bubble. Â Which I think is ridiculous. Â No one says that about Peter Dinklage and Game of Thrones. Â Why shouldn't midgets get a chance at the same job opportunities the women are? (Thanks to the revolutionary revolution and evolutionary evolution pioneered solely by the most important women's rights activist since Susan B. Anthony, Stephanie McMahon.)
sek69 Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 Because there's no little people in the McMahon family, that's why.
C.S. Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 Because there's no little people in the McMahon family, that's why. Â Nonsense! Hornswoggle is Vince's son!

I think largely because people are stupid and want to be offended. And you'll get some blogger or journalist that will see it as a chance to make a couple of bucks and get their name out there.
JNLister Posted February 3, 2018 Report Posted February 3, 2018 Are we all forgetting the short-lived juniors division?
Flyin' Brian Posted February 4, 2018 Report Posted February 4, 2018 Are we all forgetting the short-lived juniors division? Yeah, I did. Guess they got a Royal Rumble match before the women, even though it wasn't at the Royal Rumble.

FMKK Posted February 4, 2018 Report Posted February 4, 2018 Had a great time at my first OTT show in Belfast. Â Was wondering if there was a live wrestling thread running where people can post about shows they've been to. If not, I'll start one cause it seems like a good idea.
Mad Dog Posted February 5, 2018 Report Posted February 5, 2018 I've been reading the Kinnikuman manga. It's what those little pink plastic toys called MUSCLE were based on in the 80s. It's got a shit ton of references to 1970s wrestling in it and they have a character based on Terry Funk in it.

Might have to make the trip.

I think there's one pencilled in for May 13th but I don't know if it's confirmed.  The show had great variety in terms of brawling, indy workrate spot-fests, comedy, stiff striking and sports-entertainment. It's definitely worth checking out if you can. Tickets were only like £15 as well.
KawadaSmile Posted February 6, 2018 Report Posted February 6, 2018 Saw this on twitter and couldn't believe how cool it is: Â Â Â Â Dr. Wagner Jr. carries his belt in a guitar case. My God.
Tawren Posted February 6, 2018 Report Posted February 6, 2018 Unmasked Dr Wagner Jr as an old-school well dressed luchador is one of my favourite weird things.
