sek69 Posted August 15, 2017 Report Posted August 15, 2017 Such a gentleman, that Alberto. Selflessly removing himself as champ even though he makes sure to point out he did nothing wrong. Quote
Victator Posted August 15, 2017 Report Posted August 15, 2017 I mean he was cleared by the authorities, Quote
PeteF3 Posted August 15, 2017 Report Posted August 15, 2017 I mean he was cleared by the authorities, So was Ezekiel Elliott. Quote
Victator Posted August 16, 2017 Report Posted August 16, 2017 So exactly what standard will clear him? Quote
The Thread Killer Posted January 12, 2018 Report Posted January 12, 2018 If these news reports are to be believed, Paige's in-ring career is over. Quote
C.S. Posted January 12, 2018 Report Posted January 12, 2018 I hope this doesn't lead to a downward spiral for Paige. How much is Sloppy Sasha to blame, if any? Quote
KawadaSmile Posted January 12, 2018 Report Posted January 12, 2018 Awful in many levels. Not only was the injury freakish, on a relatively simple spot, but Paige was actually giving some nice depth to RAW's Women's Division. Not only that, but TONS of people are going to redirect their anger at Sasha, when in truth it was akin to Joe ending Kidd's career. Horrible fate. Quote
Strummer Posted January 12, 2018 Report Posted January 12, 2018 Just awful news. She's only 25. So sad. Quote
Fando Posted January 12, 2018 Report Posted January 12, 2018 Sasha's kick didn't look particularly bad (the crowd reacted normally to it anyway), and apparently Bayley had done the same spot with Paige at another house show Accidents happen and Paige already admitted her doctor told her she shouldn't be wrestling again in the Lilian Garcia interview. Quote
sek69 Posted January 12, 2018 Report Posted January 12, 2018 I was surprised she was cleared to come back when it seems others in her position like Edge were given the immediate no. I suppose it was due to her being so much younger at the time of her surgery. I wonder if they will allow her to continue being the manager of Absoultion, because it would suck to derail the other two right out of the blocks. Quote
SirEdger Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 That would be a typical WWE Creative move to do so but I hope they're gonna keep her on a managerial role with Absolution. Quote
El-P Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 Tough break for the girl. That sucks. Yeah, hopefully they keep her around for a while. Quote
Kadaveri Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 I'm perplexed that WWE cleared her when according to Paige her doctors said she should never wrestle again. It's the total opposite to the Daniel Bryan situation where his doctors have cleared him but WWE still says no. Quote
sek69 Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 The difference would seem to be that Paige's injury isn't one the company is facing endless class action lawsuits over and Bryan's is. Quote
iamthedoctor Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 Alot of fans are calling the injury BS as Paige was doing cartwheels on Twitter and said she'll be mystery number 30 in the Rumble and win the thing. No idea how true that is. Quote
Kadaveri Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 Being able to do a cartwheel hardly means you can safely work a WWE schedule. Quote
sek69 Posted January 13, 2018 Report Posted January 13, 2018 Plus she would hardly be a mystery since she was announced as a participant before she got injured. Quote
fakeplastictrees Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 Wonder if she is working the internet? Not sure if WWE has a say in whether or not a wrestler can disclose an injury of this nature. Quote
iamthedoctor Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 Plus she would hardly be a mystery since she was announced as a participant before she got injured. Has anyone else been advertised for a PPV match and then got injured but still appeared as a suprise? Quote
sek69 Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 This may be nothing, but one of the celebrity gossip sites has been doing blind items about Paige still having drug issues for a while, and now that this injury news is cover for her failing another drug test (remember she had two strikes back to back before she got surgery). So instead of having to announce she was the first person to get three strikes they can just claim she's no longer medically cleared to wrestle. I know what you're thinking, but this is also the same place that was calling out a lot of the sexual harrassers in Hollywood long before it became a movement, so it's not like they don't have a track record of being right. C.S. Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 Link to this celebrity gossip site? Quote
sek69 Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 http://www.agcwebpages.com/BLINDITEMS/2018/JAN.html To explain how they do it, normally they either post who they think the item is about (if the answer is in italics and not a link) or a direct reveal in the form of a link. Again, not saying they're gospel but if you look back through their archives they are right about stuff like this more often than not. Quote
Rah Posted January 15, 2018 Report Posted January 15, 2018 They're running with the scoop that Daniel Bryan will be returning to ring, too. Quote
C.S. Posted January 19, 2018 Report Posted January 19, 2018 The mentally ill, ill-tempered, possibly drug-addicted Alberto El Patron apologized to Triple H and blamed Paige for his previous comments. From Reddit user NarcisticPunk: The website source is in Spanish. I used an English translator so the quotes may be a little off. I provided the link at the end of the post.Alberto El Patron recently spoke with mediotiempo about a potential return to WWE. He said the following regarding Triple H and comments he made last year regarding him:“I apologize for Triple H in the issues that we were when I was with my relationship with my former spouse. She and her entire family made me believe that those who affected our relationship were them, specifically him. She made me believe that the videos (compromising of the fighter) and that's all that was out was on the part of Triple H and the company. In his time believed him because he was my partner, it's obvious I defended to the hilt, and then things were different and I apologize with him and his family and understood”.He went onto say that he thinks and hopes he can return to WWE in 2019 before he retires in 2020:“I see very difficult to in 2018, but in 2019 before I go I will definitely do something with them, we shook hands and all is well now. Time heals the wounds”.http://www.mediotiempo.com/lucha-libre/2018/01/18/me-equivoque-y-me-disculpe-con-wwe-alberto-el-patron Quote
