I think it is Taya almost 100%.

There's so many people that matter in Pro Wrestling who think the World of Nicole and rightfully. I am sure she'll get a shot somewhere. Was very kind to the Britts and Deonnas of the World when they first started. I've no idea what her intentions are in 2023 Pro Wrestling wise but she's 36 and has a very good, pensionable job.

Taya is a good person to pair up with Jade size wise at least and a "name". I assume Taya ends up in The Outcasts ultimately if AEW signs her as Saraya advocated for AEW to sign her about a month ago on Twitter.

I more than assume AEW are just killing time on Jade until Statlander comes back. TK sticks with his booking and his people very faithfully.

Do we think this is someone they put over Jade? It really feels like the right time to end the streak, and a surprise debut who gets that rub seems like a good use of the moment.

I don't like it if it's Taya. Mostly because they should be giving that rub to a homegrown, long-term AEW mainstay. At least, that's how I feel. I would like it more if it were like a returning Kris Statlander or something, not a new debut to AEW.

Taya ending Jade's streak would be a disaster.

She instantly washed out of NXT/WWE - not her fault - but that shitty Franky Monet gimmick didn't scream big league either.

This would be like WCW bringing in Beaver Cleavage to end Goldberg's streak.

Bringing in Taya, in general, to look good in defeat is a perfectly fine idea.

Only 4 weeks of TV to build up Forbidden Door again, weird.

I guess they could start building before Double or Nothing but this is TK we are talking about, lol.

Omega better have a big match up for this. I wonder how long Danielson's hiatus will be too, there's no way he's missing this PPV again if he's healthy.

Have to imagine Danielson’s involvement will be either the ZSJ match that didn’t happen and/or some type of G-1-related match. Omega defending the US title against Ospreay, losing it, and then setting up a rubber match might be interesting.

Yeah, Omega vs Ospray II would make more sense if it means a rubber match in Japan. But Idk, it seemed to me they were building Will to wrestle for the IWGP title and I'm not sure a third Omega match fits in there. If there's only gonna be 2 matches, I truly wonder if Gedo will let TK book it in North America instead of keeping it for himself in Japan.

Regarding Danielson, I've deluded myself into thinking this hiatus is for him to spend time with his family before leaving for a month for the G-1. And in that scenario the ZSJ could happen in there and maybe he gets Okada or Shibata at FD.

That was a great opening segment on Dynamite.

Everyone did well on the mic, most surprisingly Jungle Boy. If they are going to start building up the pillars that’s a good thing.

I’ll admit that six man turned into a pretty damn good fun match. I didn’t love the finish but I was wrong to write the match off so quickly. The hot crowd certainly helped!

Christopher Daniels mentioned in an interview that TK and Konnan had a sit down and worked out their issues, so I'm guessing Vikingo vs Kenny suddenly getting booked on a random ass Dynamite out of nowhere was the result of that.

(presumably that's a make good for AAA fucking them over with the FTR deal)

I appreciate the work that Wrestlenomics is doing and I'm probably as high on MJF as anybody else here but, as it's presented here, "Count of items in daily top 10" is a pretty weak metric for this sort of thing, especially in a weekly context. I'm guessing/hoping the Patreon post this was pulled from has more details on the methodology.

Wrestlenomics does make some pretty charts with numbers, but the statistical reasoning behind what they present is almost always faulty.

Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford have posted a video this weekend, addressing their absence from AEW last year. Basically Ford got pregnant but unfortunately miscarried. It's obviously a bit of a tough watch, though it paints TK in a lovely light when they say how happy he was for them when they told him about the pregnancy in the first place, but they say they've decided to share the story to help others who might be going through the same thing. I can't begin to imagine what they've gone through.

I figured at the time that Punk’s injury was actually a blessing in disguise. It gave the situation a chance to cool down because he couldn’t come back right away after “the incident” even if he wanted to. I was hoping cooler heads would prevail in time. Hopefully despite Chris Jericho’s best efforts, that is going to happen. Whether you like him or not, having Punk on the card will definitely help that Wembley show.

FTR & CM Punk vs The Elite at Wembley Stadium.

Please ?

PLEASE ?

PLEEEEEEEAAAAAAASE ???????????????

I'm honestly lost on the impact that 6-man tag could have on such a huge show. I get that it's the match that puts the 6 people that have been more vocal or "exposed" about not liking each other but August is a looong way away, and a simple tag match doesn't seem big enough for me for Wembley. And a bunch of worked shoot promos aren't gonna help build it up.

If it's a the final/grudge match between between both sides and we get a proper build of matches before, I can buy into it making a difference but if it's the first encounter I don't know, it kinda feels like a match with not a lot of stakes besides backstage bullshit, which I could see as a selling point for an arena show (like All Out or Grand Slam 3 in Arthur Ashe), but not a huge stadium.

For Wembley I see Punk vs Omega (or even Hangman or vs MJF for the belt) and FTR vs Bucks in a title match as better suited for that kind of show.
