Another hot take: Orton is basically Okada - has his spots locked down (sometimes to his detriment) and wrestling just comes naturally to him. Difference is Okada isn't on cruise mode as often, but both are all timers.

I never thought of it like that since Orton is on cruise control so much these days, but damn is it spot on. Makes me wonder how great he would be in an environment where he'd feel the need to give a shit more than once or twice a year.

If they add Sonya and Mandy to the womens Tag it will kill my interest in Sane and Asuka possibly being featured on PPV as a team.

Ziggler has go away heat but the fact that Miz is the only person that can have a match with him and everyone is in to it makes it fine.

I like the Becky Lynch/Nikki Cross match from Raw. It was short, but I liked how it was different from a typical Raw match building off the storyline heading into it of Nikki just wanting to get her frustrations out on Becky quickly. I also liked the post match with Alexa attacking Becky and then Natalya coming in with the sharpshooter. It does beg the question about why did Alexa fake an injury when she lost the match for no reason instead of trying to beat Becky through cheating or something. Or if she didn't want to continue the match, why not just walk away and lose by count out. It was a bit of an illogical segment, but I liked it overall because the match was wrestled differently from the normal Raw matches.

I can get Alexa having a big, over-designed heel plan to have all three of them attack Becky, the only problem is Becky came off as a heel and a major asshole in the earlier segment attacking Nattie (and Fit) for no reason. It made what should have been a heel beatdown into something more like a babyface getting her revenge.

What the hell is this crap?

As far as unexpected ending, that's as unexpected as it gets for me. As for the execution of the whole segment, some were pointing the questionable acting of everyone involved but to me, it was the way they shot the whole final stretch that was absolutely the drizzling shits. Anybody other than Kevin Dunn in charge of TV production would've been fired immediately after the show for this atrocious job.

They should have just revealed it to be Joe trying to kill him tonight rather than having it be a limp reveal next week.

Has there even been a rumour of what Bryan’s announcement will be? Do they run the Henry fake retirement angle but with Bryan going back after Kofi?

That has to be one of the worst shot/produced segments in the history of the company

what is going on with the production side with this and that horrendous Mandy/Sonya backstage segment last week?

Either Kevin Dunne is getting worse and worse or Vince making constant last minute re-writes means they're having to do a half assed job to get things done on time.

Honestly, I have no idea how someone with a remotely credible background in audio-visual producing can watch this and not think this is total amateur hour. I've seen Youtubers shot and edit better action scenes than this with a budget of a few hundred euros. The "great WWE production" is a complete joke. They have the richest production in pro-wrestling, but that's it. I dunno how FOX executives can watch that shit and believe it's good TV. I've seen porn shot and acted better than this scene. It's embarrassing even for pro-wrestling standards, and that covers a whole lot of ground. This is WCW 2000 level of shit.

The thing is, they have had great production in the past. But ever since they started the shaky cam shit for Shield run-ins, which was at least unique at the time, I feel like this style of overly busy production has crept into every element of the product to the point where lots of it is flat out unwatchable.

I HATE Owens using the Stunner as a finisher........so bad.......

205 Live was good though....kinda amuses me that 205 basically ignores everything they do on the Main Shows. I mean Drake is NOTHING like his obsessed with the 24/7 Title gimmick....even the same for Mike Bennett....I refuse to use that other last name for him.

- I'm hoping its not Joe, but only because, to me, if you're going to do a "mystery attacker" angle, the attacker should have a reason they want to be anonymous. If Joe wanted to attack Reigns, he would just do it - the same way he's attacked Mysterio or Kofi or whoever else. It would make more sense for the mystery attacker to want Reigns out of the picture, but not want to give up their identity because it would be bad for them. For example, The Usos might be jealous of Reigns so they'd want to attack him - but they wouldn't want anyone to know because they want to stay popular and be heroes and sell tee-shirts, yadda, yadda. Basically, the mystery attacker has to be a babyface because, if it were a heel, why would they go the extra step to protect their identity?

- I was really, really hoping when Bryan first brought up his big announcement at Extreme Rules that they were building towards Bryan/Taker. I'm far from a Taker fan in 2019, but I figured, if you're going to have Taker wrestle at SummerSlam (which was rumored), Bryan is easily the best candidate. It does not seem like that's where this is going, but who knows?

I've seen people kicking around Buddy Murphy as the attacker. Daniel Bryan's announcement that they keep postponing could end up being the reveal as well. I just can't imagine what babyface they would be turning at the minute.

Bryan or Murphy would be great choices, but I'm expecting the "safe" Joe reveal.

I mean I really applaud them for trying to do different shit and have this air of suspense, but the execution was poor. I was entertained, but it really could've been done better. Their production last night was overall pretty good, with all those promo packages and whatnot, but that segment and the finish to Kofi/AJ (which is a lesser mistake) were mistakes that just don't really happen that often and as such were really grating.

Word is they are trying some new shit for SD when they move to FOX. New camera shots like the ones they use at WWE 24 etc.

This is totally correct.  They are waaaaay over-produced.  The worst thing to me is when they have a "spontaneous" segment.  Like some of those backstage Braun things with the ambulance and semi truck.  One on of them (don't remember which), there were cameras INSIDE the vehicle.  That takes you right out of the moment and screams in your face that it's a planned stunt.  One camera, struggling to catch up with Strowman, then capturing him tipping the ambulance or whatever would be so much better.
