Jmare007 Posted April 11, 2021 Report Posted April 11, 2021 That was a great match. I thought Bianca's emotions could mess her up but she showed up like a motherfucker. All her showcase spots were done greatly and she had damn good chemistry with Sasha, who continues to show she's an incredible big match performer. Making Bianca's hair such a crucial part of the story was genius, paying it off with that "whip" that basically turned the tide in Bianca's favor was so well done. I loved a ton of sequences from this match, can't wait to watch it again. My only nitpick (which didn't take away anything from the match) was that near the middle of the match Bianca was destroying Sasha but somehow Banks continued to pop up and it felt like she was a monster heel when she clearly wasn't.

joeg Posted April 11, 2021 Report Posted April 11, 2021 4 hours and 40 minutes minutes later. 40 minutes of good wrestling. An hour of bad wrestling. And 3 hours of filler, stalling, and preshow. They do realize that there is a big chunk of the audience only tunes in for the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania right? Just as there's people who only watch the Super Bowl or the World Series, there are people who only watch wrestling a couple of times a year, and back to back bad 5 hour shows isn't going to help change that. Lita and 4 random people are talking it up like was the greatest show ever. They need to stop cramming the entire 100 man roster into Wrestlemania. Give us 5 or 6 big matches with heat and get us out of here in under four hours.

And even then the tag team turmoil was fine. Edit: Forgot the cage match. Yeah, that one sucked.

I missed like 40 minutes in Braun/Shane and the Bad Bunny tag but this was a really good show and I have a really hard time picturing casual fans not having a good time watching it.

Coffey Posted April 11, 2021 Report Posted April 11, 2021 I didn't like the opener or the Divas Turmoil match. Everything else was either good, fun or both. Bad Bunny blew me away. Cesaro/Rollins was super good. Sasha/Bianca was super good. Shane/Braun wasn't great but you got to see Shane die which is what we all expected. It was a good show. Plus we got fucking Samoa Joe in a rain poncho. Ain't nothing topping that. That's an all-time Wrestlemania moment.
joeg Posted April 11, 2021 Report Posted April 11, 2021 Had I gotten the 7 matches we got and an hour of filler and an hour preshow that hyped every match properly, I think I'd be ok with it. But that's not what we got. We got a rambling preshow that didn't explain anything other than a 6'10" 400 pound former strongman had been the victim of bullying somehow. Then we got 40 minutes of delays which were entertaining for the wrong reasons. Then got 7 matches with two hours of filler. Its just too much down time, too much stalling. Too much time where no story is being told, where no action is happening, where nothing is being explained or set up. Too much waiting around for something to happen.
Johnny Sorrow Posted April 11, 2021 Report Posted April 11, 2021 That was great. My nephew and his three pals, as well as the adults in the room, were popping like crazy during that main event. Seeing four ten year old boys cheering and going crazy for that match filled my heart.
