Embrodak
To be clear, I wasn’t saying that shitposting will destroy AEW, so much as pointing out that the guy having a hissy fit about worked win-loss records and taking the time to toss off lame clap backs at cable network Twitter account shitposts is in charge of everything else, too. Also, whether it portends badly or not, Tony is pretty bad at posting, I’ve gotta say.

Like noticing how Anna Jay, while mostly in character still, low key says that being paired with Jericho really hasn't done anything for her. She probably didn't expect *that* question though, because she totally breaks out.

I still don't get why they had to turn her heel and join the JAS. She's just so damn likeable and being a "mean girl" type just really doesn't fit her. This video is more than enough proof. Easily one of the most likeable individuals in their roster. Just so fucking over everything related to Jericho for almost a decade, now. Plus to me she's been much better as a heel than as a babyface as far as her in-ring stuff goes. She kinda has a good chemistry with 2.0, although really it seems they get good chemistry with anyone, really. She's in a tough spot, her injury set her back quite a bit, she's not the most athletic and she got passed by all the young newcomers like Willow, Julia, Skye and the likes. Maybe she can find the right thing to get over, I dunno. Probably going back to more of a babyface now (Danny Garcia & Daddy Magic already having turned, really). Matt D
Anna Jay was the only one who figured out how to work like a sports entertainer instead of a wrestler. She might have been the only one who even tried.

Alucard
I felt everyone in the TayJay vs. Penelope/Bunny New Year's Deathmatch were perfect in their roles then, so I think I prefer babyface Anna. The visual of her choking out the bloody Bunny is an all timer. Thought both TayJay were really good in their singles against Jade too. Coffey
I wonder how many burner accounts Tony Khan has. The shit that he's willing to post on his main, you know he's got a burner account that's even worse. And he should be busy, probably too busy to ever care about Twitter, but he obviously does very much care. Regardless of wrestling, football, soccer & everything on his plate. Bryan Alvarez said he had multiple wrestlers contacting him and saying they find it embarrassing, which doesn’t surprise me.
Dav'oh
Laughing at Agony Aunt Alvarez setting up a 24hr counselling service for Wrestlers Embarrassed by Tweets Unrelated to Them. Sure, Bryan. Sure. Like, what the fuck is he going to do about it? It's like complaining about the weather to a frog.
MoS
I personally could happily and contentedly could spend the rest of my live in peace, and happiness never hearing a single thing Chico Alvarerz has to say and his opinion on anything and everything under the sun, wrestling-related or not
Embrodak
I know nobody is going to watch Collision over *this* Rumble except the extreme diehards, but Bryan vs a 55 year old Nagata seems especially self-indulgent as counter-programming even with that context. Jmare007
I'll be shocked if Danielson doesn't get his match with Blue Panther before All In. C.S.
Darby Allin Says He Refused AEW Veteran’s Advice https://thespotlightnews.com/darby-allin-says-he-refused-aew-veterans-advice/ No idea how legit this site is, but I see it used as a source on Reddit all the time. Quote “Ric Flair, a couple [of] weeks ago, he came up to me and like, ‘Darby, you need to slow down.’ I’m like, ‘Wait, what?’ ‘You’re crazier than Mick Foley.’ I’m like, ‘Getting advice from Ric Flair?’ What’s funny is, people don’t know how great I feel physically. I feel amazing, like nothing hurts. DDP [is] also, he’s like, ‘We have to put you in a lab. They have to test you out and see what’s going on because you’re not human.’ I feel amazing. I won’t stop doing it. Sorry for anybody trying to give me advice; all the people out there… telling me to slow down. I can’t, and I won’t.” I went into the article expecting to disagree with Darby, but I don't. This is typical Ric being Ric - nonsensical, cliched, unhelpful, "old man yelling at cloud" bullshit boomer advice. This is why Shane Douglas hates Ric Flair - because of Ric's complete lack of sincerity when asked Shane asked him for advice. Shane is right too. I always sided with "The Franchise" on this one. 17 hours ago, strobogo said: I'm quite pleased that TK didn't pick up Sami Callahan. Thank God. Sami Callahan bitches about NXT and the Solomon Crowe gimmick, but: 1. He was the drizzling shits there. Completely unimpressive. 2. He clearly had things he needed to work on and improve, but he obviously thought he was too good for that. 3. As much as everyone makes fun of the NXT Random Name Generator, I thought the hacking gimmick Crowe got was cool and had potential.
Dale Wolfe
Alternatively, everyone can see Darby is about to cut his career massively short because of how he acts- no-one is superhuman- and outside of Paul Heyman's creative peak, Shane Douglas achieved nothing? Flair is an idiot but for Shane to bemoan a lack of sincerity in the wrestling game, well, it is what it is Callihan was beyond shit in NXT, awful
C.S.
6 minutes ago, Dale Wolfe said: Alternatively, everyone can see Darby is about to cut his career massively short because of how he acts- no-one is superhuman- He says he doesn't want a long career anyway, so who are we to judge? I'm no fanboy of the guy, but I'd argue he's doing far less damage to himself with his high-risk style that Flair did to himself with his drug and booze-fueled lifestyle. Either way, "slow down" by itself without anything specific is such generic, unhelpful advice that I get why Darby would roll his eyes and ignore it. 6 minutes ago, Dale Wolfe said: and outside of Paul Heyman's creative peak, Shane Douglas achieved nothing? Outside of a solid five-year main event run, you mean? That's more than most people get. 6 minutes ago, Dale Wolfe said: Callihan was beyond shit in NXT, awful Has he improved since then? I hear about his "violent stunts" and such, but that kind of stupid shit doesn't impress me.
KawadaSmile
Callihan did get a bit better in Impact, but more recently he's closer to NXT form than anything. As for Darby... I dunno. I think him trying to climb the Everest or do dumb stunts outside the ring may be more dangerous to him than anything he does in his matches. Unless he starts hitting his head and getting concussed, which he's mostly avoided somehow, he's okay. Skateboraders can bump like no one's business. NintendoLogic
Veterans telling younger wrestlers to slow down and the young guys not listening might be the biggest cliche in wrestling. Some traditions never die.
Stiva
With regards to AEW ticket prices, Khan is also getting a lot of criticism for hiking the prices up for Fulham tickets. To the point where their FA Cup game today is seeing fan boycotts so dude has precedent for over pricing
Embrodak
Darby doesn’t need to slow down, he needs to stop taking wildly unsafe bumps in heatless matches. Dude almost broke his neck a few weeks ago in a nothing tag match.
