Ditch
*Does anybody actually buy a ticket or PPV to watch the Miz?He's new to the main event scene. So the answer is "no", WWE is trying to push new stars and it's a struggle. *There is nothing "Raw" about the show. There is nothing about it that feels organic or "real." Everything is such a major production that I don't feel connected to any of it -- not the workers, not the angles, not the words being said, nothing. Wrestling used to be organized chaos. Now it's just...organized.GREAT point. There was definitely a certain 'gritty' quality to the show circa '97-'01. Now it's all so bloodless, and I don't just mean the 'no blood' policy! I've been saying this for a few years now. This is a big part of why I haven't been able to watch WWE product each time I tried my hand at it. I'll watch WM with an open mind though, it will be the first WWE card I watch since WM two years ago. I admit the reason that pushes me to give it another try is The Rock. El-P
*Ditto for Randy Orton. He might have the most annoying mannerisms of any wrestler I've ever watched. Glad to know he's still a black hole. Wait, I said open mind. Well, but unless Orton dramatically improved over the last few years, my opinion of this guy is already pretty much established. An act that look fake as hell, and a rather terrible and boring worker. DDP should get royaties...
Victator
Speaking Nikita his feud with Terry Taylor and Ron Garvin over the UWF and NWA TV belts is really good. Even if Taylor seems to lack any real fire Gilbert is doing some great proomos and carrying around both belts. Nikita is showing great intensity. Though I do wish it was building to Gilbert vs Nikita.
KrisZ
Flair vs. Garvin was the original plan for Starrcade 86 before Magnum's crash so they called an audible after that and put Nikita in the spot because Magnum/Nikita was the scheduled Starrcade match as well. Starrcade 87 should've been the culmination of the NWA/UWF feud if that had been booked worth a damn with the NWA/UWF unifying their major titles on the show. Boondocks Kernoodle
I had always heard that it was supposed to be Flair vs Magnum. Are you sure it wasn't supposed to be Nikita vs Garvin? Wikipedia says that they were feuding at the time.
MikeCampbell
I seem to recall reading, somewhere, that Starrcade was going to be Magnum beating Nikita in an I Quit match.
KrisZ
Mike is exactly right, that was going to be the blowoff for Magnum/Nikita and for Magnum to move on to winning the NWA title.

Strummer
anyone paying attention to Bret on twitter? He's killing me. Calling Hogan a dickhead, linking the EL Dandy promo from Nitro in 1999 (calling it his favorite WCW moment) and making a Benoit joke. Jesus Bret why couldn't you be this funny during your career

Calling Hogan a dickhead, linking the EL Dandy promo from Nitro in 1999 (calling it his favorite WCW moment) and making a Benoit joke. Jesus Bret why couldn't you be this funny during your career It has been a fabulous read all week. A lot of people are being critical for Bret bring a machine gun to a knife fight tweeting this to Hulk: HitmanBretSHart @HulkHogan4Real That's not what John Graziano thinks, dickhead. CM Punk retweet it too.
kjh
You know, given Bret's concussion and stroke related emotional problems, Twitter probably isn't the best place for him, despite his snarky remarks being amusing.
Victator
I think Bret has a certain amount of bile and hate that has to go somewhere. Without Vince, Shawn and HHH he is swinging blind. I kinda wonder why I follow wrestlers on Twitter they rarely talk about wrestling.
Isaacduke
But think about it, how often do you talk about YOUR work in detail on Twitter? Sometimes you just want to shoot the shit about the latest Sandler flick, not Starcade Diggity2.
sek69
I can't tell if he's serious or if it's really good trolling, but Eric Bischoff has been using his Facebook page as a soapbox to rant against the evils of unionization and government overspending. And yes, a good majority of people replying are pointing out the irony of the guy known as ATM Eric saying that.

sek69
CM Punk has been gold since I've started following him on Twitter, him and Regal are by far the best wrestling-related people on Twitter.
Strummer
Punk just took a slight jab at creative It's embarrassing that WWE writers don't have @ZackRyder on raw more. They're dropping the ball. Go watch his YouTube videos. ENTERTAINMENT he was also getting subtle jabs at them when he was doing press for that Raw in Chicago. Don't want this man to be buried. rovert
Yeah one thing Twitter has shown publicly is CM Punk's loyalty to his friends or those people he likes. From Colt to Naylor to Zack.
