The Chief
I'm probably a little higher on the current product than most, but I'm watching Raw tonight and I can't stop thinking about how much they need a good midcard purge. They could really stand to cut like ten or twelve contracts right now. Guys just seen to stick around for so much longer now. Jesus Christ, Kofi Kingston has been on WWE television almost six years...
Jordan
Del Rio's music hitting literally the second Cena & Cesaro were about to lock up followed by a commercial break was pretty heartbreaking.
tim
Turned out to be a heck of a match though. I really hope they aren't just teasing us with all these Cena/Cesaro interactions, those guys seem to have all the chemistry you could have hoped. Johnny Sorrow
RAW fucking kicked ass tonight. The Shield/ Wyatts blow up leading to the finish with them teaming to go after Punk and Bryan, only to have The Rhodes Boys and the Uso's come out for a giant brawl was some killer fun shit. Jesus Christ, Kofi Kingston has been on WWE television almost six years... Name names! Who should go? I think it's always an interesting conversation. I mean, on one hand you need job guys, on the other hand, the show really feels stale because it's the same people going nowhere just trading wins back-and-forth forever. They're also real people with real families though & them getting fired would suck for them. It's not like there's a ton of people on NXT waiting for the call up right now. I really enjoyed the ending to the show tonight. That crowd was electric & I was feeling like a kid again during the Wyatt/Shield stare down. Good stuff. Long-time staleness and workers paralysed because they have basically nowhere else to work. No wonder things are fucked up.
Stiva
They just released a guy who could have had a ton of good midcard matches (I say this without knowing if Hero asked for his release or not).

goodhelmet
Chief, create a thread on who you think should be purged. Could be fun. Also, on the latest Observer show, Alvarez is under the impression that they are saving the Swing on Cena for a matchup down the road but Dave feels he hasn't done it because Cena is hurt. I think Cena vs. Claudio would be awesome.
Matt D
I think they wouldn't keep teasing it unless there was going to be payoff at this point.
MJH
Every bump Cena takes is worse on his body than the giant swing. Including most of his offence.
rovert
William Regal vs Antonio Cesaro has been announced for November 21st taping of NXT at Full Sail. Likely to be a part of NXT's 200th episode too.

If not, then Tim Evans better sneak in dressed as a chair and get a fancam.

Last taping of the year too by the way.
Dylan Waco
And with that Cesaro will almost assuredly end up my number one in WKO voting this year.
Tim Evans
Just got my ticket for it. I would think Regal/Cesaro would be on tv since they have been doing the angle on TV. Bo is defending the title at the taping too. Should be a packed show with TNA in town. NXT is also running Billy Gunn and Bo vs Neville and Zayn at the old FCW arena this Thursday. That should be interesting.

Kevin Ridge
No clue what the card is since I don't watch TV but I'm hoping for a big Survivor Series elimination match since I'll be going to the show. And not one of those Diva matches. Something in the 30 minute range would be great.

And not one of those Diva matches. Something in the 30 minute range would be great. the card is insanely weak right now Orton v Big Show, which ok, they've done a good job pushing Show and he's over as a babyface now, but nobody really wants to pay to see this Cena v Del Rio? meh. Cena beat him clean with an injured arm, they totally threw Del Rio under the bus here. Nobody is gonna pay to see this, and nobody thinks Del Rio has a chance Bryan/Punk v The Wyatts? I don't know what the f they are doing here. They did that big angle with Punk/Bryan/Usos/Rhodes family v The Shield and the Wyatts......then they book a tag match? why? It's a week out from Survivor Series and they've booked 3 matches, none of which anyone is going to pay to see. Will The Shield have a match? Will the tag titles be defended? US title? IC title? Nobody knows and consequently nobody cares. I could book a Survivor Series better in my sleep
Zoo Enthusiast
Yeah, the whole "they are going to try to make Survivor Series special from now on" bit that was in the Observer turned out to not happen. Unless this is supposed to feel special, in which case they have some larger issues.
cm funk
I think they should go back to the traditional Survivor Series format, and I've felt that way for years. Survivor Series felt like a special show because it was different. When I was a kid it was probably my favorite show to see. Now it's just treated like any other random PPV show. Why is it Survivor Series now? It's just a name. I know they have that rationale of "gimmick PPVs don't sell" or whatever, but that's bs. The second most important show of the year is a gimmick ppv, and it's important because they actually treat it like it's a big deal. Survivor is just a throwaway ppv to them now, which sucks
Coffey
Like, ALL of their Pay-Per-Views are gimmick pay-per-views nowadays... Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, Money in the Bank, Hell in a Cell, Extreme Rules, TLC. It's over kill. Admittedly, I loved when their were just four PPVs a year & Rumble & Survivor Series were the gimmick shows, I just don't know how it would really work today. WWE doesn't really do a lot of midcard stuff anymore. Storyline wise & the feuds are all recycled stuff between guys that have traded wins back-and-forth for five years. Wyatts Vs. Punk/Bryan makes sense. It makes sense because The Wyatts beat-up Punk/Bryan on RAW a couple weeks ago. The Shield/Wyatt stuff was just a teaser. So you don't throw out Wyatts/Punk & Bryan just to hot shot a clusterfuck match last second. I mean, I think more people care & would pay for Cena Vs. Del Rio than slapping The Usos & Rhodes Brothers in a big ass tag match. WWE is pretty stale top to bottom. There's a lot of great ring work going on but casual fans don't really give a fuck how "good" a match is. Shield/Wyatts will be hot. No reason to burn through it instantaneously. I mean, I know it's not like WWE has a great track record of letting stuff slow burn or play out over time lately but whatever. They're teasing tension between Shield/Wyatts & dissension between Reigns with Rollins/Ambrose. I think Reigns is going to be the next Batista style top babyface after he splits from The Shield & we might see the Wyatt/Shield confrontation/match be the catalyst for it instead of just being a heated feud.
