shoe Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 On the Roku 3 I'm getting the live stream beautifully . The VOD hasn't loaded except the 5 sec logo. Only thing on the VOD I've gotten is the WCCW episode to run.
shoe Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 Also I was charged the 9.99 at 1st. They already issued a check card reversal.
Wahoos Leg Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 No luck with any on demand stuff using the Roku 2
soup23 Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 Watched the Mania Rewind special on WM 1. Pretty fun stuff and a good 15-20 minute segment that gets you hyped for the match. They showed all the build up to the match in clips format and had numerous talking head interviews from the principles as where as present stars speaking on the magnitude. Certainly felt like a 30 for 30 short type piece and was a cool thing to sit through even though the first 10 minutes or so involved the old "Vince gambled it all on WM 1" viewpoint.
goodhelmet Posted February 25, 2014 Author Report Posted February 25, 2014 I may have to cancel the Network after the free trial... SEARCH RESULTS YOU SEARCHED FOR BUDDY ROSE NO RESULTS WERE FOUND FOR THAT TERM. PLEASE TRY A NEW SEARCH.
sek69 Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 Weird, now when I try to play anything on demand, the rating video plays but the actual show won't. The live stuff seems to be working though. Maybe they disabled it so it won't crash for people signing up during RAW?
goodhelmet Posted February 25, 2014 Author Report Posted February 25, 2014 Tell me something you wanted to play and I'll see if it is working on my end.
sek69 Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 I was trying to get Bash at the Beach 1996 to play.
goodhelmet Posted February 25, 2014 Author Report Posted February 25, 2014 Took about 30 seconds to load. Playing for me now but I skimmed this earlier. Earlier it looked like HD VQ. Now, it has a noticeable downgrade in VQ.
goodhelmet Posted February 25, 2014 Author Report Posted February 25, 2014 The live fed still looks immaculate.
goodhelmet Posted February 25, 2014 Author Report Posted February 25, 2014 And they are showing Mr. Perfect's sports skits to kill time. Awesome.
hammerva Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 So how are they going to do a Smackdown pre and post show for a taped show? I will assume it is all just backstage stuff?
goodhelmet Posted February 25, 2014 Author Report Posted February 25, 2014 I think it will be the exact same setup but recorded instead of live.
Bix Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 I think it will be the exact same setup but recorded instead of live. Yup, the promo showed them doing the test shows at tapings.
Boondocks Kernoodle Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 It's understandable, but seeing "Far From Over" and "Badstreet USA" overdubbed on old NWA shows is sort of soul crushing. I knew that they were overdubbing music that they don't own rights to, but I didn't realize that includes the Slam Jam songs. I guess this is the result of Jimmy Papa suing them. How am I supposed to fully enjoy the nostalgic experience of watching '93 WCW without "A Man Called Sting" and "Simply Ravishing?"
goodhelmet Posted February 25, 2014 Author Report Posted February 25, 2014 Someone at DVDVR said that the 1989 Bash is the Turner Home Video version. I don't remember them cutting alot out of the THV but that still kind of sucks. I need to see if they did the same for Superbrawl 1991, Wrestlewar 1991 and Superbrawl 1992.
goodhelmet Posted February 25, 2014 Author Report Posted February 25, 2014 Wrestlewar 1992 is complete as is Beach Blast 1992. Just checked GAB 1989... it seems complete. Must have been bad info.
Johnny Sorrow Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 How long after airings are RAW and SD on Huluplus?
Beast Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 Frustrating that the first WCCW episodes aren't in consecutive order. At least four posted right now (if you go through the schedule) and while two are back to back, there's also one that takes place one month earlier and one that takes place one month later. Same with the ECW Hardcore TV episodes from 1993-1994. Looks to be about 10, all spaced around a month apart. The Raw flashbacks are in order through May of 1993, how hard would it have been to do that for every TV show?
shoe Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 How long after airings are RAW and SD on Huluplus? The next day. On the network it will be 30 days.
Bix Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 Wrestlewar 1992 is complete as is Beach Blast 1992. Just checked GAB 1989... it seems complete. Must have been bad info. It looks like the tape is damaged to some degree and maybe they used the master tape for the comm. release in certain areas. There's an edit when they go to the battle royal that I think is exactly the same as as the one the comm tape.
cubbymark Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 Kind of annoyed that it's 12:30 EST and Harcore TV isn't on. I got WWE Countdown instead. Boo-urns. Gotta browse the archives for an hour.
tlk23 Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 If you search Old School, a bunch of matches come up, but you can't watch any of them.
cubbymark Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 Twitter live scrolls during Hardcore TV is quite a trip. As is seeing Sandman not wearing pants.
southofheavy Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 I'm watching right now via PS3. The live stream works without a hitch and looks great. Anything else gets two or three error messages before it works. Also, the search function is a little wonky, but maybe I'm not entering terms correctly. That said, I'm watching the very first Raw and The Steiners are stomping ass on some masked jobbers. There's problems, but this is so worth it.
