KrisZ Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 Joey Styles & Trips have confirmed it on Twitter..........I am in fucking shock. Quote
Stiva Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 Well, this fucking sucks. Completely shocked. RIP. Quote
dedhemingway Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 Just heard about this. Dusty is/was probably my favorite person to just listen to talk in the history of ever. I'm pretty much in shock right now. I have the day off, I think I'm going to use it watching Dusty Rhodes promos. RIP The American Dream Quote
Fantastic Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 Holy shit! Now that was unexpected... I mean, he was really looking good in the last few years, he'd lost weight, was always animated in his appearances in WWE and NXT... RIP Dusty Quote
Badlittlekitten Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 Oh man, real shitty news. RIP big Dust. Quote
Grimmas Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 One of the true great legends. You will be remembered. Quote
WingedEagle Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 Started another thread that can be deleted, but here's what I said. Will see if I have any more thoughts after work: Triple H just tweeted that Dusty Rhodes has passed away. What a loss. I had the pleasure of meeting him last fall and he was sharp as a knife, incredibly gracious with his time to my wife and I and more than happy to share a few memories and stories from the past. He was also incredibly proud to have his daughter as his date that evening and they seemed to have a terrific time. RIP to a true GOAT and best to his family. Quote
Timbo Slice Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 Just absolutely the worst news. In recent times, the whole Rhodes Family vs. Shield/Authority feud was my favorite thing in 2013, and the payoff at Battleground was one of my favorite moments of the year. But he also had the greatest promo of all time. RIP to the Dream, and may he be dining with kings and queens in the great beyond. Quote
ButchReedMark Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 He wined and dined with Kings and Queens, and slept in alleys and ate pork and beans. That cadence, that presence, that emotion he can put forth. Dusty is one of my top top top favourites of all time and I'm absolutely devastated. When this is bettered, I'll be a Dutchman. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ND4zLt5YctI Quote
Karl Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 About 75% of what I absolutely adore about wrestling you can find in Dusty. What a dreadful loss, am absolutely stunned. RIP Dream Quote
dkookypunk43 Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 Very poetic in his promos, very good worker. We lost one of the all time greats today Quote
Strummer Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 absolutely devastated. Dusty was one of the best. This sucks beyond belief. RIP Dream Quote
rainmakerrtv Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 Doffing the hat with the chicken foot headband in honor of one of the true greats. Quote
Strummer Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 Stephanie McMahon @StephMcMahon 7m7 minutes ago #RIPDustyRhodes We never got to shoot our angle together! Thank you for everything, I Love You. #HallofFamer #Legend Quote
Ricky Jackson Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 Horrible loss for wrestling. One of the greatest ever. RIP Quote
flyonthewall2983 Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 Rest In Power, Dream. I didn't grow up watching him work, but his voice was a mainstay in my life thanks to his time announcing and occasionally getting in the ring in WCW. He, Tony Schiovane and Bobby Heenan were pretty funny sometimes in the booth, but could get over what was happening when it would get serious as well. Far from a perfect announcing team, but it fit what they were doing. Quote
NotJayTabb Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 Saw Triple H's tweet pop up, and spent a while trying to work out what it meant, as the last thing I wanted to accept was that the Dream had died. Absolutely horrible news, one of the most magnetic personalities ever. Quote
hammerva Posted June 11, 2015 Report Posted June 11, 2015 You know it is never a good thing to see "305 new tweets" in the span of 30 minutes but it just goes to show you what a true icon he was in wrestling and this business wouldn't be half of what it is now without him. Somewhere in heaven there is a new bull of the woods and him and Murdoch are raising a ton of hell right now Quote
