I don't know if this is the best place to post this, but I think it should be known when someone goes against set plans and trades. I did have a trade with Goc set in stone that he backed out on. Now it may have not been the biggest talent, but still someone that was set and he backed out on.

I think this is just a blanket statement for all those involved, if you have a deal with someone, you should honor it. Like Parv and others have stated when ownership changes, those deals should try to be honors. I just think it is shady business. Not that it matters in terms of who was being traded, but the fact that someone would act that way.

I also wanted to let everyone know that I have a friend Dave who I worked with on the Territory Wars over on the Place to Be Boards that is interested in joining. If Rocket is ceasing ownership on Florida, he said he would be interested. I don't know who the powers to be are, but I can vouch for his attention to detail and overall ability to be someone to trust and do work. It seems as though those two things are invaluable, even when dealing with "fantasy" wrestling.

For the few people I have close dealings with that want clarification on the issue please feel free to PM me. I don't regret my decision and feel completely justified in having done it. That's all I'm going to say on the matter in this thread.

Goc also blew up a deal we had set in place over a month beforehand. It was for early next year, but a major part of my plans and he completely backed out for no reason other than got a better offer.

This was set over a month beforehand! I considered it set in stone, but his defense was lacking.

Now hearing he did the same to lowblow, I have to chime in. Ridiculous conduct in a thing like this. Please be aware of what you're getting into dealing with him.

People who are good to me get good things in return. People who aren't do not. The people who are in my good graces know who they are and have nothing to worry about but can feel free to talk to me about it in private.

Regardless of whatever else is said about it by the aggrieved parties that's the last word from me about it in this thread.

Great.

So now that I'm home I'm going to say my final word on this.

I feel it's acceptable to air dirty laundry now that he's done the same to a second person and also is no longer trading with WWF (I believe).

This whole "people who do me wrong" stuff is so lame and I'm not gonna let goc try and make himself out to be a martyr. I had no reason to think I wasn't in "good graces" and he still fucked me over.

Basically before LowBlow left for MidSouth, I handled most of the bookings and deals, but he also made some inquiries of his own. We had made a deal with Southwest where he could finish using Scott Casey for the first 3 weeks of this project and in return we'd get David Von Erich for 4 weeks of TV and Friday shows and 3 weeks of Saturday shows, 9 dates total. Worked out well for both.

While this deal was being made, he mentioned one of his stars would be available in the spring for 3 months. We were obviously interested and he agreed to let us have him, asking nothing specific in return and without reservation. Shortly after, he asked for one of our guys in return and I said no because his guy would be used to feud with that guy. He responded by saying that's fine and we'd figure out another name sometime down the line. No issues raised, no argument over his first choice being off the board. No reason to suspect I had stumbled upon a deal breaker. The deal was done on my end and I made the plans to make this guy a big part of my spring storylines. Like basically the main guy below Flair. Sometime after this he asked for the Freebirds for 3 dates in the spring and I gave them to him with the understanding he'd be making more requests since I was getting his guy for 3 months.

A month or so passes, Low Blow leaves for Midsouth, I'm 100 percent in charge. In the meantime goc had requested Butcher Vachon for 3 weeks and I gave him Vachon asking nothing in return. He eventually cancelled the request a week or two later because I assume he had changed his plans. He doesn't mention any names for his spring star trade. I have Buddy Roberts available for 3 weeks in August and put out the word in this thread I believe. Multiple people reply including goc. I give him Roberts despite him not being first or offering anyone because I know he's giving me his star in the spring.

After this he asks for Iron Sheik for 6 weeks in Sept/Oct in return for Mr. Saito. Also offers Saito for the entire 6 weeks even if he can only get Sheik for Mondays and Tuesdays. Sheik is my main event heel with huge plans around coming into play starting during that time and I have no interest in Saito so I politely refused, but reminded him I have no shows Wednesdays and would be happy to ship him anyone on that day anytime.

These are all separate conversations, nothing hinging on the spring star trade. He also never expressed any displeasure regarding the Sheik denial. No response at all.

Two weeks later he drops the bomb on me saying he will not be able to "honor" his deal we made well over a month ago due to getting a better offer. I was of the understanding the deal was final and had no reason to believe he was upset about anything. I told him that wasn't cool as he was ruining big plans I made due to us making the deal weeks ago. He brought up how I wouldn't give him his first choice and how I wouldn't make the Saito trade so he was convinced I wasn't trustworthy or something.

This is OUT OF NOWHERE. I offer him basically my entire roster other than Flair and the Freebirds, and even offer him the guy he wanted first, but 45 days after I get his guy. So he would also get him 90 days and we'd both have both wrestlers together for 45. He refuses.

It wasn't my responsibility to make his side of the trade for him. I had no reason to believe he was unhappy as there was literally no words from him expressing dissatisfaction about anything. I'd also given him guys asking nothing in return as signs of good faith. In the end he got 2 guys for 3 weeks each and I got David Von Erich for 9 dates.

I told him we would no longer be trading together and he blocked me.

So yeah, when I found out he pulled similar shit on Low Blow, I figured I'd vent a little.

I didn't block you. I also didn't cut ties, you cut ties and I still let you keep your dates on David. So a big shoulder shrug from me.

Well I'd obviously not want to deal with you after you reneged on a deal set in stone "just because".

And I told you I was keeping my David dates because it was unrelated and I wasn't fucking up my current plans because you changed your mind.

And now you've done the same to at least a second person so what does that say?

It seems to me that this is the kind of thing that turns a lot of people off to a deal like this. We've already got a lot of folks who are burnt out or busy and I feel like maybe this should be kept a bit more private. I've got no horse in this race and have zero interest in who was right or wrong. I just think that stuff like this causes the number of promotions to dwindle faster than it otherwise might.

Well as for LowBlow it says don't come in here and turn a game discussion into a chance to take personal shots. Especially when turning the focus onto me killed any discussion of what he wanted to talk about.

His post was about bringing to light how you reneged on set deals and how we shouldn't do that. Focus was already on you.

I agree which is why I didn't say anything after it happened except in PM's to a couple of other participants. I just think it's a really fucked up way to play this game we have going.

I'm done venting. Sorry if people think this is bitching and moaning. I can see why, but hey I got it out of my system.

What did I say? If this isn't the part for it, let's create a thread to where we discuss how shady people can be? Sometimes things need to be brought up... amazing how this isn't the first complaint against you?

I agree with you here bud, and as I have stated, doing this before, dealing with individuals who lie and back out on deals doesn't help the overall cause. I am beyond appreciative for Beast giving me a chance with MACW, then getting the book with Mid South. I hope I am fulfilling my end of the deal on here and I find it hard to really condone such behavior. This is a sub group of individuals who are legit wrestling fans and we want to make this thing work the right way, and sorry but Goc pulling this shit isn't working in my book... pun intended.

I'm talking about the reason I cut ties with you in the first place, you taking shots at me in here and torpedoing your own attempt to have a discussion about how territory takeovers work by doing so. And that's my last word on it because dawho is right and that's the whole reason I didn't feel any need to explain myself in here in the first place.

I don't take shots... you said you were burnt out and looking to quit... I asked why... you jumped on your horse. I messaged you about Houston and our deals and you back out with no explanation. I, like others, worked with you to make the deals work and make sure each detail in our bookings together were sound and I get snubbed because I ask if you are really going to quit?

Like I said, that was my last word on it in this thread.

To bring this back about in game discussion, I posted my new TV show today with a Jose Lothario's explanation of his turn on El Gran Apollo and did a bunch of other stuff. So much so that even the cliff notes version I posted looked stupidly long.

dawho5 also posted a new Montreal TV episode with a very fun exchange between Goldie Rogers & Jacques Rougeau and a pretty awesome 6 man tag main event.

It is easy to pass the blame when you're in the wrong...

Hi guys, sorry for not posting my next batch of shows yet. I got sidetracked this past weekend with making preparations in case tropical storm Danny came our way (thankfully it didn't) and now we have Erica coming our way tomorrow. Hopefully it passes without causing too much of a hassle. If everything goes well and my power doesn't go out, I plan to post the shows on Friday.

Looking forward to it. I hope the time difference between our promotions doesn't end up "spoiling" anything you decided to do with Duggan while he was there.
