Badlittlekitten
They were still doing it in house shows though. So apparently Paige got pissed at the crowd for disrespecting the divas match and tweeted about it. The Bellas too. Was the match as rubbish as the promo segment? Are we meant to applaud them for being no good at their job? Jon Stewart needs to fuck off already. Guys been awful last couple of appearances. Loved the Dudleys return. New Day is on such a completely different level to everything else right now, it's shocking. Some genuine comedic and musical prowess there. I'd already tapped out long before the Sting appearance but him vs Rollins is all cool in my books.
WingedEagle
I will never support a crowd pulling off chants about itself and simply working to get itself over, but if you're in the ring...do something about it. If you have a script to follow and can't call an audible to bring them in, that sucks. But I can't imagine a crowd is going to be so into marking out for itself that it'll completely ignore something awesome happening right before its eyes. Loss
My favorite part of the Dudleys segment was Xavier Woods' reaction to seeing them and the way he sold the headbutt from the top rope. People, this kid is the real deal.
JaymeFuture
Woods is phenomenal. The New Day in general are just the most absurdly enjoyable act in the WWE. Big E and Kofi dancing at Summerslam will be embedded in my mind forever, much like the first time I saw Jimmy Del Ray's grind. The Twitter complaining by the women irks me. There's a sense of entitlement that comes across that's completely unjustified - it's your job to do your best to get over, not the fans job to praise you regardless of merit. That promo segment was hideous, and the Raw matches haven't been anything special at all, regardless of the bad booking. I know it's easy to blame the Bellas (and there is something to that, obviously), but bottom line, the casual Raw audiences have been given nothing to turn heads. DMJ
Loved the New Day segment. Loved the Lesnar segment but wish they would've given a real reason for him to leave the ring. Loved the look of the new Wyatt guy, but might have to agree with Jimmy Korderas, who said that the Wyatts need a "bumper." This guy is not that. Also, credit due to the team for not putting him in NXT as I'm glad even a place like this forum had to dig a little bit to find out who the hell he was. Sting/Rollins? Why not? I like that idea way more than one I saw floating around about Sting returning to be involved in the Lesnar/Taker angle. I think people are overreacting about how bad the Divas Revolution angle has gone. There were some positives tonight and at SummerSlam - most importantly that BAD wasn't involved in the RAW match (less importantly, that awesome Alicia/Charlotte spot where they hit kicked each other in the face at SummerSlam). "9-Girl Stand Around" is not a good set-up for engaging matches, though, and only reminds fans of how the divas were booked for the past ten years (as time-filling, throw-everyone-in-an-8-man workers). Here's what they should do - Have the Bellas tag against Charlotte and Paige, let Sasha lead her group in a separate feud with Becky and then have Sasha turn on Naomi and maybe steal Tamina away. Naomi goes face. Then, you can have a Sasha & Tamina vs. Naomi and Becky thing going while you still run Nikki vs. Charlotte, which looks like the eventual direction. Does Sasha deserve better? Absolutely…but I see no harm in having Sasha feud with Charlotte down the line once they've been developed individually. One of the problems, and it was noticeable in the Miz segment and pretty much this whole angle so far is that when you debut 3 new talents, surround them with talents of varying overness (I'm an Alicia Fox fan, but let's be serious, she wasn't very relevant before this, nor was Tamina, while the Bellas and Paige were promoted as vastly more significant), individual characters, strengths, and motivations get lost in the mix. I'm confident that the "revolution" will happen when "The Revolution" is no longer a storyline talking point and we start actually getting to see how and why these individual women got over individually at NXT. Individually. No problem with the Dudleys coming back. I've been really impressed with the Luchas recently and the Primetime Players too. When the Usos come back, we might actually have enough tag teams to run two good tag team matches at a PPV. Los Matadores do nothing for me and the less said about the Ascension the better, but who knows? Blake and Murphy haven't impressed me much, but when you think of how unique each of the aforementioned tag teams are, they kinda fit because they'd be the only generic bland team of the whole bunch. Slasher
Wasn't the fans chanting for Sasha in the match segment? It comes across as Paige being upset that no one is as over as Sasha is. We have seen countless times where people chant for Stone Cold, Rocky, Cena, Daniel Bryan etc in matches they weren't part of. It seems to me the excitement for the divas has kinda pared down to excitement for Sasha and not much else. The Bellas aren't doing it. Paige, Charlotte and Becky (as decent as they may be) aren't doing it. Naomi and Tamina sure as hell aren't doing it. That leaves only one. If that isn't what Paige is referring to then nevermind. Russellmania
it was definitely pretty tone deaf of them to not put Sasha in a match on RAW. I mean it's nowhere near the top of the list of problems with that Divas segment/match, but it didn't help that the woman who that crowd just saw have a MOTYC 2 nights ago didn't even appear on RAW. On top of that her team was the first eliminated on Sunday. Now maybe they were just giving her a well deserved rest after that beating she took on Saturday, but I'm inclined to think it's more that they are just oblivious to the fact that she is far and away the biggest star out of all the women right now (especially in front of that crowd). Anyway, I don't know if it would have ultimately mattered, but IMO it seems like a much smarter booking move would have been to have Becky challenge for Nikki's title on RAW instead of doing yet another trios match. Becky got the deciding pinfall in the Summerslam match, right? Should have done a simple promo segment where Becky goads Nikki into a title defense. Let them go out there and have a solid, focused singles match and have Nikki retain via shenanigans and IMO that has a much better chance of satisfying that crowd than what we actually got. El-P
Ok. So, what was that big deal about ?The New Day are awesome. The trombone was hilarious. Ok so... oh fuck. The Duds. So, we're back to that old "hey, remember the REAL stars, from when there were REAL stars, back 15 years ago when Trips was ruling the world ?" mentality. I never cared for the Duds. Cool, "we want table" and "wazza" spots in 2015. How fresh. At least they brought both guys this time, which prevent the racist bit of having a token black guy play D-Von like at the Rumble. Couldn't care less, but hey, the Duds are real stars. It's twice as old as bringing the LOD in 98, but what can you do ? So. The Wyatt family have their own Big Dick Dudley now ? Cool. Guy looks like Phineas Godwinn on growth hormones. Looks like a shitty worker to boot. I get a Kurrgan vibes from this crap. Wait, Kurrgan at least looked kinda freaky. No, seriously, this was bad and absolutely unimpressive. Too bad, the Wyatts getting together was cool for three minutes. Poor girls. That Miz segment. That match. That crowd. That being said, bitching in tweeter about it really makes them look like, well, little whining bitches. Where the fuck was Sasha Banks anyway ? Poor Lana. She used to look like a star. Gotta love those skirts who won't lift at all during a catfight, there's a secret somewhere, you know it wasn't like that back in 2000, when wrestling was hot (cf The Duds). Yeah, that Ziggler spasming selling was hilariously bad. Why is this guy considered a good worker by guys like Cornette, Meltz, Austin and pretty much everyone in the business ? I don't think I've ever seen a guy with that much waisted motions (and I don't mean in a cool kinda way like RVD). Is Big Show going back to WCW ? That's why he insisted on screaming "I'm a Giant !" lately ? Stephy switching from bayface back into heels in the same promo. These people don't give a shit anymore. Stephy looks more and more like Vince, which makes the cleavage disturbing, kinda. Ok, so, as I was advised, fast forward until the unveiling of... oooooh ! That guy who was a star 20 years ago. And who got beat clean by HHH at Mania and shook hands with him. He's back and he's pissed off ! Cool. Another matter of "back when we were kings". Why does he get a title shot BTW ? Didn't settle his differences with the Authority at Mania ? Didn't he lost his only match in WWE ? Ah, who cares. RETROMANIA is running wild, brutha. (wait, the Ultimate Warrior, of all people, got a statue alongside Andre & Bruno ? WTF ? All because he died just after the Hall of Fame ? Holy shit) Ok, back to normal folks. goc
I didn't mean to insinuate that the reveal was some awesome moment just more that all the talking that went on before it was totally pointless and dragged on forever, seemingly as a rib on Sting who had to stand there under that sheet sweating his face paint off. But you are right there is really not one good kayfabe reason for Sting to get a title shot. Might as well just go all the way with the Reality Era and have them say "well yea Sting didn't beat anyone to earn it but we need to sell Network subscriptions!" Matt D
It's not hard, really. Have HHH be so pissed off that Sting ruined the ceremony that he immediately wants revenge on Sting and books Rollins in a match with him. Have Sting say "Sure, but only for the title. Otherwise, I'm going to keep ruining everything you try to do." Maybe even play up Sheamus as ready to prey upon Rollins the second Sting death drops him out of nowhere in a ring. And there's your match. Not rocket science. There are plenty of examples of a babyface goading a heel into putting the title up.

The problem with that is Trips and Stephanie were almost amused by Sting's appearance and happily left the ring peacefully without any sign of displeasure. There are other ways of course, but Trips being pissed about Sting ruining that ceremony would hardly be believable due to his shitty reaction after the unveiling. Mad Dog
I actually don't mind the Dudleys coming back. They've been broken up as a team long enough that I think I could watch them for a few programs before being tired of them. I also think they're excellent opponents for New Day and I thought Xavier Woods reaction was priceless.

NotJayTabb
The Dudleys coming back provides a bit more depth to what has become a pretty decent tag division, one that has more than two teams in it (unlike in years gone by). The PTP's have quietly become a really good team, boasting a great FIP and a great hot tag guy, and having them, the Dudleys and the New Day on top of the division sounds pretty good to me. Los Matadores and the Lucha Dragons are perfectly good second-tier teams, and even the Ascension are ok. Add to this the return of the Usos, the rumoured Adam Rose/Brad Maddox team and the number of decent units in NXT, and tag team wrestling is looking really fun at the moment. Stiva
I'm happy with The Dudleys being back because it results in The New Day having fresh guys to play off. Why aren't these things on TV?!!! I know they have to have those precious web hits but these kind of sit-down interviews would be a welcome breather on TV. I guess they wouldn't be so much fun for the people in attendance but they'd go some ways to helping feuds get over. Not everyone is as entertaining as The New Day, granted. Shit, you could just make it a live in-ring interview segment.
sek69
I watched NXT last night, and goddamn that was quite the reaction Enzo and Cass got. After the last few years of no one getting over, it was almost surreal hearing anyone get a pop that loud in 2015.
El-P
Saw Enzo & Cass for the second time. I still get that NOA/Too Cool/Dudleys feel out of them. It's not a good thing in my book BTW. I hate chant-along routines, it's fun a couple of time then gets annoying as hell quickly. Especially chant-along spots. Well, at least they don't do anything as stupid as the WORM. Enzo strikes me as a mix between Road Dog, Scotty 2 Hotty & DDP. Does a good job as a face in peril though. Cass on the other hand, I have no idea what's his role apart from cleaning the ring. He's Enzo's Jim Neidhart, although I doubt Enzo has any chance on the main roster. Comedy guy in a matter of a few months. Is Carmella usually still with them ? The act is kinda funny, but doesn't have any leg or depth to me. The star of the match was Chad Gable as far as work goes. No idea who he is, but he was a lot of fun.
