Parties Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Man, I really forgot how weird The Godfather character was. Nice speech though. And a decent if corny Will Ferrell imitation from JBL in the intro. Isaiah the Little Pimp forever. Quote
The Chief Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 I always felt Vader was a better talker than he got credit for. Quote
sek69 Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 I don't know what's more jarring to me, hearing normal-voiced Vader talk or non Russian voiced Ivan. Quote
The Chief Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Actually hearing Skynyrd on WWE TV. Wow Quote
Blehschmidt Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Frank Gotch is credited with popularizing sports entertainment.........fucking hell Quote
sek69 Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Frank Gotch is credited with popularizing sports entertainment.........fucking hell   Well he did, they just didn't call it that yet. Predetermined professional wrestling *is* sports entertainment, despite WWE tiring everyone out on the term. Quote
The Chief Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 John Tatum!!!! I got legitimately choked up when they played Freebird. Great. Heenan level HOF speech great. Quote
Parties Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 I was initally going to say the peak of the Freebirds speech was Garvin talking about Hayes peeing on him, only to have the camera pan over to Reigns' wife making a face of disgust while Roman smirks. Â But then there were like thirty even more awesome things that happened after that. I have not laughed so hard at anything wrestling in forever. The fanny pack. Performing the entirety of "Badstreet USA" over a backing track of himself. Kevin's remarkable "These New Gay Guys" flub. Garvin's dancing. Did they go an hour? Dear God, that was amazing. Quote
JerryvonKramer Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Hayes is legit one of the most charismatic guys ever to lace them up. Quote
SteveJRogers Posted April 3, 2016 Author Report Posted April 3, 2016 Hayes is legit one of the most charismatic guys ever to lace them up. Â And not one "YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!" Â = Quote
Parties Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 1) The last five nerds on Earth still wondering why Cena's the ace of the company found out in his delivery of that intro. 2) Snoop talking about smoking weed with Cena in the recording studio was the face turn of the century. Quote
joeg Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 The Hall of Fame kind of reminds me of Kurosawa's The Bad Sleep Well...... Quote

Cena looked a little stunned that he got the same reaction he'd get on an average Raw.  You have to wonder if that is going to be the reaction when he gets inducted himself! Quote
C.S. Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Amazing show. Like Lawler, the Hall of Fame is my favorite wrestling night of the year. Â Freebirds stole the show with their speech. Â I'm glad the idiot fans didn't boo cancer survivor Joan Lunden and embarrass wrestling with their infantile antics, as they've done in past HOFs. Â We all saw it coming, but Sting's retirement is still sad. What was up with him not mentioning Lex Luger at all though? Did they have a falling out or something? Quote
Alucard Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Loved it. Freebirds speech was perfect. Hayes performing Badstreet USA, incredible. Hansen's speech was really awesome too. Sad as well that Sting is officially retired, thought they'd try one more year to do Sting/Taker at 33. Quote
Fando Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 No mention of Luger from Sting. Kind of shocked. Quote
Johnny Sorrow Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Super fun show. Anyone who finds some reason to complain about it can lick my sack. Quote
Eegah Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Loved the show, Hansen stole the show for me putting over everyone and sending a shoutout to my home of Waco, TX. Hearing one of my wrestling idols do that turned me into a kid. HANSEN RULES!!! Quote
Judy Bagwell Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Super fun show. Anyone who finds some reason to complain about it can lick my sack. youre a control freak Quote
MoS Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Super fun show. Anyone who finds some reason to complain about it can lick my sack. Not complaining, but I did find it odd about Sting not mentioning Luger. I remember Flair hadn't mentioned Sting in his HoF speech, but I had chalked that to him being in TNA then. Quote
Robert S Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 I was initally going to say the peak of the Freebirds speech was Garvin talking about Hayes peeing on him, only to have the camera pan over to Reigns' wife making a face of disgust while Roman smirks. Roberts, not Hayes Quote
victory Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 Really fun show overall. The 4 plus hours went by quickly I thought. Even my Wife's attention span didn't wander. The kids were a different story. Â I was glad to see the Godfather go on first. Good way to kick it off. Â The Freebirds and Sting had the best speeches. I was pleasantly surprised that I like Snoop's speech as well. Â The Dudleys did a great job I thought in introducing Jackie. Â Dana went a little too long long with her intro. I wonder if they will continue to have her do those in the future. Quote
JerryvonKramer Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 I said this on Twitter last night and still think it: Â Do hate to say this but I have never once in thirty years believed that Sting loves the business. Even now I still don't get that impression Quote

Even now I still don't get that impression That's not necessarily a bad thing, unless you are talking with WON Hall voters I suppose Quote
Loss Posted April 3, 2016 Report Posted April 3, 2016 They don't make 'em like Michael Hayes anymore. Society's gain is wresting's loss. Quote
