The hazing shit with Lio Rush isn't a race issue, it's a "respect for an individual" issue. It's not acceptable regardless of the person's race, sex, or anything else. Fuck that sports culture, hazing bullshit. At some point the old timers need to get out of this whiny attitude that because they had to suffer through something then the newbies have to go through it too. If it's wrong, stop doing it.

Plus, how many dudes on the roster now actually had to do that shit?

We were only told multiple people which included in-ring talent. This does affect at least one person if not more scheduled for the tapings on Friday and Saturday in Orlando for two weeks of Raw and SmackDown, which at this point are not canceled.

One WWE talent noted that they were told COVID-19 testing will now take place at every taping and that "we're expected to isolate," and stay in their rooms or homes at this point. One person said that they have been told they will be tested twice this week. Those in Orlando today were given a two-hour heads up for a mandatory test.

Per Meltzer

At this point wouldn't shutting down for a bit be the best option? At best we avoid unnecessary contractions of Covid-19, at worst it gives talent time to be out of the drudgery/staleness of the product that a lot of them have fallen in to.

At this stage, perhaps. But Vince is probably very afraid of finding himself in breach of his TV contracts. Plus, he's dead set on believing they're doing a service to the world right now. If only, they at least took it as seriously as AEW and tested people every week from the start like they did.

"Our leader". I hope they have Brodie Lee be called that way too.

So, social responsibility to put the fans first BUT WITHOUT MASKS GODDAMNIT BECAUSE IT DOESN'T LOOK GOOD ON TV ! And our employ independant contractors can fuck off because it's their dream to work for the WWE Universe. Grab the brass ring and make the most out of your opportunity. Dick pics notwithstanding.

Really now ? Who ARE these people. I mean, we always knew WWE is a pit, but this year particulary with the COVID thing really exposes them in a context that has touched the entire planet and in which they can be compared with pretty much anybody else as complete, utter pieces of shit without an ounce of empathy, dignity and self-respect. They are the worst of the worst. The way Vince crooks, it'll be funny to see all those crocodile tears for that poor excuse for a human being.

I have honestly no idea why anyone still supports them and want to work for them at this point. They are such godawful people.

When cases explode even more when baseball spring training starts up next week, the whole state might end up getting shut down anyway.

You're not wrong, but most teams are holding Spring Training (Summer Camp?) in their home cities.

Remember that report of a WWE employee who wasn't an in-ring performer testing positive back in March? I think we know who it was.

That would be quite the scientific discovery since to my knowledge there's been no known cases of re-infection, just stories of dying viruses still triggering false-positive tests. Did Kayla actually test positive twice or was she one of many people I know who just "know" they had it in the first 3 months of the year because they had a bad cold or flu but didn't actually get tested? (Partially because it was almost impossible to do.)

For as badly as Vince and WWE has handled this, wrestlers themselves have to take some responsibility. I've seen way too many of them posting pics on social media, having a great time while not quarantining. Kayla Braxton was showing off at the beach. Some of the women's roster went to Vegas for Billie Kay's birthday party. They aren't social distancing or wearing masks.

WWE absolutely should have been testing wrestlers and staff before now. No excuse for not doing so. But all the testing in the world doesn't mean much if you don't follow basic protocol beyond it.

Another thing is when are more wrestlers going to pack it in and not report to work. Vince is running his shows, no matter what. He's holding on to those TV contracts and the networks want new programming. Cold world, but that's business. Why didn't more follow Roman or Sami's lead to get out while they could? Roman Reigns was going to become Universal Champion again when he left. If he was willing to say no, that should have been a pause-and-think moment for the rest. Kyle O'Reilly stopped because of his Type I diabetes. Mustafa Ali seemed to stay away when travel restrictions were tighter and opted to stay home. Kevin Owens is off the roster again. If these adults don't look out for themselves, they can't expect anyone else to do it.

Piss poor excuse. For whatever numbers of people not taking care of themselves, there are all the others. And as far as taking the decision to not come, it's absolutely not the same deal for everyone. A few can do it and not expect repercussions. And really, the company has to be accounted responsible for their policy. And their policy was "COVID is a work, don't wear mask, let's drag 70 years old Ric Flair on TV" etc etc... WWE is rotten to the core as a company. Vince deserves to catch the fucking COVID, really.

BTW, any news on decision taken after #SPeakingOut ? Yeah, nothing on that front either apart from firing Gallagher. Fuck them seven ways to Sunday.

The word from the scientific community has always been so far that the people testing positive twice are not re-infected - they're talking more about "reactivation". So basically, it could be possible that in Kayla's case, the virus went dormant after she recovered in March and got re-activated somehow. But yeah, looking at the pics she posts on Instagram and her stories, there's very few social distanciation, if any at all. So, it was bound to happen.

Peyton Royce, Billie Kay, and Zelina Vega posted pics from last weekend of them out at a bar/restaurant celebrating Billie's birthday. Shawn Spears, Alistar Black, and Tyler Breeze could be seen in the background and no one appears to have been wearing masks or social distancing.  So as much as we want to vilify the companies running shows, the talent does not seem to be taking this seriously at all either.
