More modern name here - I fucking LOVE Reigns' punches. They usually look devastating enough to the point he doesn't even need to do more than a few of them, and it usually looks spot on. On the other hand, Ambrose's strikes are the shittiest on current WWE.

I am so confused after being away for 3 months. I guess having new female wrestlers is a good thing, but I know absolute zero things about them, and I literally never saw Sarah Logan before. Wyatt/Hardy feud looks like absolute shite. Good grief.

Didn't McGregor got completely out of gas in his 2nd fight against Diaz a while ago? By the 2nd round out of 5? Should go toe to toe against Mayweather juuuuuust fine

If those reports are true, then I don't think it was a receipt at all.

GFW/TNA is cursed, isn't it?

If not for the fact that he looks like Dick Dastardly, I'd actually say Fish is pretty bland too. Asuka leaving is not at all a bad thing. Sure, the women's division loses her best performer, but if that means you give more shine to the likes of Ember Moon, Nikki Cross, Peyton Royce (the most underrated gal of them all IMO) and even someone like Mandy Rose, that's a plus. As for Roode leaving.... that's not as good. He was the best champion they've had since Neville, and the idea of someone and boring as Adam Cole feuding with McIntyre who, despite looking like a megastar, doesn't have a good enough connection with the crowd yet, is not very thrilling to me. The same goes for AOP getting called up, if that happens soon. ReDragon vs Sanity is..... not very interesting.

I hope all this leads to Naito getting a win over Okada at WK12. Also Juice better be getting a proper title victory soon, as he might've been a low-key candidate for G1 MVP.

What is frustrating about the Corbin match is that Baron is just the type of guy that could have a BANGER of a match with Cena with the proper time. Their first SD match (that also was a bit short, but good) was also a sign of that. Maybe if not for Corbin getting some flak for his twitter antics, this could've been very good, but was just solid, which is a dissapointment. Also lol @ that Khali match having that rating.

[2017-08-20-WWE-Summerslam] Jimmy & Jey Uso vs New Day
KawadaSmile replied to FMKK's topic in August 2017
The only reason this isn't a 10 outta 10 is because they had to kill sometime with headlocks (even though they weren't KO-like holds). Other than that, it's as close as you can get to a perfect match. Ridiculous spots, lots of tension, nice sense of escalation, great hot tags and very well done false finishes. It's just as good as DIY vs Revival 2/3 Falls, which means really, REALLY good. -
[1989-04-24-NJPW-Super Powers Clash] Shinya Hashimoto vs Victor Zangiev
KawadaSmile replied to Jordan's topic in April 1989
I love how Hashimoto, who was usually portrayed as one of the biggest badasses in NJPW, had to spit in Zangiev's face in order to make him lose his cool, because he was getting SCHOOLED. Fucking great match. Both guys looked very tough, and despite being not very known, Zangiev looked legit.- 9 replies

The only moments I could recall that the crowd was into the match were during Gran Metalik's batshit insane spots.

Brock/Braun will be done next PPV already, so I'm not sure if they would do that at WM34. I would like to see Cena/Joe at WM, to be honest. Or Cena/Braun. AJ/Roode for the WWE Title doesn't seem like a bad idea either.

So, for two years in a row Kevin Owens has been featured in a strong candidate for worst feud of the year. Last year, it was against Seth Rollins, and this year, against AJ Styles. I would very much welcome AJ/Corbin at this point, as they have shown some good chemistry early this year. KO moving to a Shane feud is ok. Will probably feature tons of weapons and batshit insane spots, so I guess Shane can carry him to a good match.

I'm suspecting that's a worked injury. Breaking a collarbone isn't exactly something you can just power through, and considering how they've put over the Eclipse as this very, very dangerous move before, it would make sense she got kayfabe hurt and still got to finish the match. It puts Moon and her finisher over, you can vacate the title and avoid having Asuka do the job, and you can also build the MYC winner as a potential contender.

Crowd couldn't give less of a fuck about the actual main event until Roman got the hot tag, where only then people started paying attention, and the match picked up. Guess he's not that over... Anyways, quite the great episode of Raw. Not only they had two EXCELLENT segments (Brock/Lesnar and Cena/Joe/Miz/Roman), but they also had good matches (the main event, Jordan/Balor, Hardys/Shield), and the rest was used to further feuds or put over people like Nia or Elias. The only low point was Cass' injury. Enzo going batshit insane on twitter was strange, too. No Mercy will already have a blast of a main event, I just hope they don't give us Roman/Joe vs Cena that soon. I'd take Miz/Joe for the IC belt, tho.

JBL is absolutely an asshole, but that whole rant - which is the most we got in terms of "bullying" - was much like your previous comment about JBL, for shits and giggles (not that the rant doesn't hold water) Don't worry bubba, sarcasm is welcome. Sometimes the fault is ours, the readers', and not the writer's.
-
Hell yes to the Summerslam main event. So far it is the WWE MOTY, where every single guy had time to shine, even if Braun did stand out - deservedly so.
-
I'm pretty sure Thread Killer was referring to JBL's rant on Bring it to the Table, which I would say was indeed constructive.

This match, my God. From the early moments where Ember Moon was getting the best out of Asuka, being as confident as possible, making us think she would finally dethrone the invincible champion, to her desperation after FINALLY hitting the Eclipse only for it to be kicked out of, it was fucking great. When she first appeared, I wasn't into Ember Moon. She was technically very good, but she had no real character, or anything that I could relate to. After this match, she's way more engaging. Match of the night, my 2nd favorite of the weekend. 5*

Low point of the night has got to be Mauro on commentary. The matches were all at least good. The weakest one was Itami/Black, as it had no business featuring chinlocks and whatnot, should've been a sprint. Still, good. Black is incredible. Also my problem with ReDragon appearing is: they are heels (they have to be). AOP are monster heels, and Sanity are heels too I guess. Where are the face teams? TM61 is not around, DIY is no more and Heavy Machinery aren't as featured as they should be. Sanity turning would be very... meh.
-
I'm going the full five for this one. Strowman looked like a monster, Joe had his chances to steal the victory, Lesnar's promise to leave the company if he lost also added some drama to the match, and Roman was good as always, bringing the heat to a match where all 4 guys were massively over. I can see why someone would say this was one of the "weaker" Roman performances, but still it was a great showing, even if the match was the Strowman show. Those 4 guys are top level main eventers. By last year we had Jericho/Ko/Rollins/Roman. What an upgrade.

I didn't follow much of his work in the indies/TNA, but looking at his participation at the 2011 Elimination Chamber match, albeit short, he carried himself like a big fucking deal, and that carried over in his current stint in NXT, to the point where he feels way too big of a star to be there.
-
What are the odds of him sneaking in the top 10 next time this sort of voting takes place?
