shoe Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 What's the point in having it Matt if it's going to get broken.Normally I agree, especially the way they handle cage matches. This one worked because the idea is that Ambrose wants his hands on Rollins. He should he was willing to fight anyone and everyone in his way to make that happen. We are going to just have to disagree on this. Quote
goodhelmet Posted August 18, 2014 Author Report Posted August 18, 2014 I don't know, every match has been pretty good but I'm having a hard time getting into this show. Nothing but the main event and Brie/Steph feels like something I should care about. I was sorta pretty excited about this show going in but I feel the exact same way!!! Quote
sek69 Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 I love how the only person to actually drink the Mountain Dew product placement is the guy who died of a heart attack. Quote
shoe Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Bray vs. Jericho had some fuck that hurt bumps , but overall nothing special . Quote
Jmare007 Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 In the WWE network model we are going to have multiple matches with stips. If we aren't honoring them they mean nothing in the long run. I fail to realize how the stip "meant nothing". It setup the final sequence and added to the "chaotic" vibe of the whole feud. I expect the Street Fight or whatever gimmick match they are gonna have for NOC will be more decisive. Quote
Eduardo Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Thought Jericho-Wyatt was pretty flat and meh. Not terrible but just not fun like the other stuff, so far, on this event. Quote
Childs Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 I didn't care at all about Jericho-Wyatt coming in, but the match was fine. Jericho's timing has come back a bit, and I kind of liked the spider walk counter to the lionsault. Also liked Bray going over strong. Quote
Matt D Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 What's the point in having it Matt if it's going to get broken.Normally I agree, especially the way they handle cage matches. This one worked because the idea is that Ambrose wants his hands on Rollins. He should he was willing to fight anyone and everyone in his way to make that happen. We are going to just have to disagree on this. They had it. The lumberjacks tried to enforce it. It's like having cage and then having Big Show rip the side off the cage. The fact that Ambrose defied the nature of the gimmick to get his hands on Rollins means something. It's not that they were just ignoring the gimmick. They were acknowledging it and they went well out of their way to show how effective it was in the beginning of the match. The end result of this put over Ambrose, Rollins, AND the gimmick. Ambrose, because he was insane enough to dive not at Rollins but at the other lumberjacks, Rollins, because he used his brains and won despite that, and the gimmick because now people will be way more excited the next time they announce a lumberjack match than they ever would have been before. sek69 Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 I'm kind of hoping Steph does the full out Triple H Wrestlemania entrance here with dudes from NXT as her boy toys. Quote
Johnny Sorrow Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 God I fucking love Stephanie. Quote
hammerva Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 God damn Stephanie. If someone gets a photo of Steph in black next to Lana in white I might need a day off work Quote
Matt D Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Why does Stephanie think she's part of the Four Horsemen? EDIT: Is it just me or is there an audible female pop for Brie? Quote
cpst Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Who wore it better, Seth Rollins or Stephanie McMahon? Quote
sek69 Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Probably not an issue considering the match at hand, but should someone who they made a point of not competing for over ten years be dominating someone who's an active competitor? Quote
Steenalized Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Why does Stephanie think she's part of the Four Horsemen? EDIT: Is it just me or is there an audible female pop for Brie? Total Divas is pretty big. Quote
Johnny Sorrow Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Why does Stephanie think she's part of the Four Horsemen? That was her doing the "West Coast representing " thing, and it was glorious. Quote
hammerva Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Yeah this is pretty much a squash match so far which probably shouldn't happen. Really tells us that Brie just sucks in the ring Quote
Matt D Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Maybe they should have worked in a few more hope spots at least? Quote
Kevin Ridge Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 The announcing gushing over how hot Stephanie looks has me wondering if it is Vince through the headset feeding them the lines. Quote
Stiva Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Probably not an issue considering the match at hand, but should someone who they made a point of not competing for over ten years be dominating someone who's an active competitor? she's a McMahon so that's that. Quote
Loss Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 Stephanie is doing better heel work than anyone has all night long. Quote
sek69 Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 I wonder who's fapping more backstage, Hunter or Vince. Quote
