The finishing stretch and the crowd reaction to Bruno's final comeback in this match is completely awesome.

Bruno was so, so great. His connection with the audience is something you just don't see any more.

The Bruno Sammartino episode Jericho did a few months ago is a great listen.

Allow me to disagree it is a perfectly acceptable match regardless of how many snowflakes you toss its way.

He always finds a way. I can't really bear to listen to any of his podcasts, despite the occasional topic that really should interest me.

I was just watching a fun match of his from 1979 vs. Larry Z at MSG - those purple Star Wars tights were fantastic - terrible news.

If there was an ignore filter, shodate would earn it. I can't read the posts despite whatever validity they may have because they make my eyes hurt.

Yeah, and the reference to anarcho-syndicalism just begs for a Monty Python quote or two ...

I'd have to think about this further to build my own full card, but looking at the one above, one glaring absence is - especially in Toronto - is Edge and Christian. Get them involved somehow, either in the tag match replacing LOD or in another multi-man match.

It kills me that RVD is one spot higher than Martel. As RVD couldn't carry Martel's Atomizer, much less his tag team resume.

Dan Kroffat is a such an underrated gem of a wrestler.

It's going away. I guess it's a good thing I have a bit of spare time and some storage to grab some stuff. But it is a real shame that the drive is going away completely.

I shouldn't be annoyed by the results of this project because I did not submit a ballot (because I had other viewing priorities than re-watching WWF/WWE stuff). That being said, some things have struck me as pretty significant flaws in what was a neat project. The overall writing quality and the lack of even a cursory editing pass to correct obvious mistakes of punctuation, grammar, and style in the final results has made me wince. The deficiencies in the description of Bill Eadie's merits (and others on the list, too) as a worker is a more serious matter. Again, there's not been enough editorial oversight to correct some pretty glaring errors. Still, I remain interested in seeing the end results of the project.

Any more on this? That would be a very unwelcome development.

Tremendously great match. I can't remember anything from 2005 onwards that has sucked me in like that. I hadn't seen much from Gargano prior to this PPV, but was a fan of Almas. Needless to say the former vaults into my must-see list from now on, and Almas solidified his reputation and then some with this match.

Did someone really rank Chief Jay Strongbow at 10?
