    It's not that the things that Omega and Joey Ryan do are exposing the business. Like you said, people are well aware that the business isn't real. But that, doing the stupid shit like the dick spots and blow up doll, makes the business look stupid and that people won't take it seriously.

    I put the Danny Spivey shoot interview on, just for some background noise, and heard his story about the backstage fight with Adrian Adonis. Does anyone know if Meltzer ever reported anything about it in the WON? Based off what I've been able to find as far as searching for info on it. It seems to have taken place in May of '86 at the Flint, MI show.

    This the moment that I think I can pinpoint to me and my buddies realizing that we're too 'smarked out' for lack of better term, for our own good. We watched it live and were just like "This is cool, but why wouldn't they announce this ahead of time?" And, being big marks for London and Kendrick at the time, we were actually looking forward to the match with Regal/Taylor.

    I just remember Michael Cole on commentary saying that Big Johnny looked much better on those videos that he'd watched, and my buddies and I totally cracking up!

    I never connected the dots before, but, yes, this does seem to be the start of the heel turn. The fallout from this was Jake getting a new snake, Damien's brother Luficer. And, when he turned on Warrior, he told him to open the coffin and find Lucifer waiting for him.

    I only bothered watching this show for the Sugiura/Takaiwa title change, and found this hidden gem. It's based around Marufuji working over Shiosaki's arm, and being just as crafty as he was with Misawa's knee from the 12/10 GHC match. But, this time it actually matters! Shiosaki sells it the whole match, and when he tries to start a comeback, he'll throw chops and elbows with the other arm, and even remember to sell it when he's in control. There's a really nice part where Shiosaki wears Marufuji down with a sleeper, stuns him with an Oklahoma roll, and then tries a German suplex, but loses the bridge because of his arm. The finish is odd, but goes back to NOAH not really getting submission finishes over, Marufuji gets a juji-gatame out of a Tiger driver, and Shiosaki lingers for a little too long, and grabs at the ref, and the ref winds up calling it. With how much he'd been worked over, Shiosaki really should have maybe held out for about ten seconds and tapped out.

    I understand that Misawa didn't want to have to be the champion, but basically was forced to take the title here. And, it showed with how little he seemed to care about this match.

    Objectivity, to me, means being able to watch, analyze, criticize, etc. with an open mind. I don't care for Yoshinobu Kanemaru in the least. But, if I'm watching one of his matches, I don't automatically think that it'll be a bad match, or he'll be the reason that it's a bad match.

    They really need to do what WCW attempted to do in 2000. Take a hiatus, and then do a complete relaunch, and hopefully re-brand things. Memphis Mark already pretty much summed up some of the steps they need to take, like *NOT* looking like WWE lite, and focusing more on the in-ring product.

    Well Loss, I know you said it's not really you or Will's bag, but heavier moderation is what it sounds like you need. You guys are good about trying to keep things in order here, but, there's only so many times that you or Will can run in on thread and tell someone to knock it off, or to attack the argument and not the poster. I don't know what more you guys could really do, aside from maybe institute some sort of warning system, where a member gets 3 warnings for being out of line, and that leads to their account being suspended and then banned if they keep things up.

    As a young mark in the late 1990's, my buddies and I were always convinced that Norton was the toughest dude in the world. I'm with NJT as far as loving that whole angle with The Cat. it starts with Miller just talking his usual smack, and Nash decides to tell Norton that Miller called him out, so Norton kicked his ass. The next week, he really did call him out, and Norton kicked his ass again. By the third week, Miller came prepared and KO'd him with a pipe.

    I'm finally watching the Raw Bowl, since I've been one of the more vocal whiners about it being omitted. I've always said it wasn't something I really even cared to see, but, that it's omission was bothering my OCD nature. I have to say, this Bowl game gimmick is really awful, and Vince and Lawler's commentary is horrendous! Eric Bischoff summed it up best the same night on Nitro. It's the Toilet Bowl!

    No, the Kid Rock episode is up, and that random one from 2012 also got put up. So, RAW is complete, save for #141.

    I can't imagine what the issues could be. They managed to skate around the whole Kid Rock deal with Raw #366, even while showing Joe C. in backstage vignettes and running in during the tag titles match. So, I imagine that, they're just trolling the OCD types, by purposely holding that one episode out.

    Scott Dawson sending out a tweet taking a shot at the tag match on Smackdown, and then having to take it down and apologize for it, is everything that's wrong with the business!

    I was in a store with my Dad once, and saw a bunch of non-wrestlers, like Mean Gene and Jimmy Hart, and freaked out when I saw Freddie Blassie. I begged for him, to go with my Sheik and Volkoff, but couldn't get him for some reason. A few days later, we went back to get it, but it was gone, and I never saw it again. Bix's Ted Arcidi is a good pic, along with Ken Patera. I was always partial to Paul Orndorff since his positioning made it look like he was ready to give someone a pile driver.

    It's an entertaining interview, because it's Cornette and Funk. And, now I'm forever going to associate Billy Bob Thornton as "The Dog Whacker" - but you really don't learn a whole lot about the actual promotion. They just get into some of the names and the towns they ran.

    It's even better when he talks about giving Heyman the book, but requiring that he has to give his approval of everything. "Paul E. would have burned down the building during the first year!"
