I haven't seen the angle yet, but it's Lawler, if he had any issues he'd quit. From what I've read it doesn't sound that bad.

I didn't think it was that bad myself, but it should be noted that Lawler had no problem with using his mother's death in a wrestling angle despite acknowledging that his mother probably wouldn't have appreciated it. Amusingly, he was apparently genuinely offended when Jimmy Hart compared him to a thoroughbred that had to be put down after he broke his leg.

Had they spent the week hyping it up with pics of the Defib/snoring dub bit maybe. As it was they used one segment to "hype" another on the show. Not enough long term and not calculated enough for me even if it was tasteless.

 

I'll be voting for Balls/New Jack "feud" which looks to have been a bizarre worked shoot based around blatant racism that saw a guy get savagely between down by a machete wielding lunatic all so Feinstein - who exacerbated the whole thing deliberately - could make a couple bucks and both guys could get the "shoot tape booking" they need to support their respective drug habits.

I don't know about "most disgusting", but I still think "dumbest" was reinforcing the message that the past was better than the present by putting a part-time movie star over your biggest star that is carrying the company, on the biggest, most-watched show of all time. Yeah, watching the show, I was more offended by the film of dead Lawler than I was by the angle itself. The angle was more of an eye roller. The film was more WTF?
