That's Cole Sprause on the left who plays Jughead and on the right is the guy who plays Kevin on the TV show "Riverdale." The new Vancouver City Champion is Brady Malibu, great wrestler who went to Lance Storm's school. Before the show started I noticed a gang of really good looking people in the crowd. My pal Travis who is one of the owners comes up to me and says the cast of "Riverdale" was there. I couldn't recognize anyone from where I was stationed, and then five minutes later KJ Apa, sexy Archie walks in and I recognized that red hair right away. The freaking cast of Riverdale was at the first wrestling show I've ever performed in, and it was a GREAT super fun show. All of the talent couldn't have been nicer. Fucking wild. And according to the ladies bartending, the Riverdale cast were all incredibly nice.
KawadaSmile
I respect the Riverdale cast. The plotlines there make absolutely no sense whatsoever and despite there being a modicum of self-awareness, the actors never wink at the audience. Imagine Fiend Lore + Dungeon of Doom + Ministry of Darkness
Flyin' Brian
Jericho’s Facebook page is definitely toxic. They post Mick Foley taking a break from Twitter because he’s not sure how things are going to go there and tons of people pop up to rake Foley over the coals. It's like hearing old anecdotes from RF videos all over again with annoying production tricks. I would rather just watch Back to the Territories from the KC Vault instead. I have been binging this series today. The level of bullshit is incredible even for wrestlers.

BigBadMick
I'm enjoying it. The Florida, Stampede and Kaufman episodes raised a few chuckles. The re-enactments are hilarious.
sek69
So Nick Aldis posted then deleted an Instagram post saying he's done with the NWA due to a falling out with Billy Corgan and that he was embarrassed with the direction of the company he can't be a part of it. For what it's worth Billy said he was sick of Aldis's constant politicking so one would assume he's trying to get himself another title run and is boo boo facing backstage when he was told no. El-P
And now Corgan is getting shit for explaining that he really won't do another Empowerr show until he can have the best women wrestler available who are able to "wrestle the NWA style" and "carry a three-hour PPV". You know, like the ones main-evented by Tyrus and with marquee state-of-the-art stuff like EC3 vs Thom Latimer or Question Mark vs Question Mark 2 (wait, I thought the guy was dead ? And now there are two of them doing his former awful gimmick ?). Funny tidbits, we (rightly) complain about too many titles in NJPW and AEW, but damn in that NWA PPV you have : NWA World heavyweight title, NWA United states tag team titles, NWA Junior heavyweight title, NWA Women's title, NWA Women's tag team title, NWA National championship, NWA World Television title, NWA World tag team title. And since apparently it's not enough, you've got the prestigious MLW National openweight championship defended too. Nick Aldis having none, I understand he's salty... El-P
Aldis has been suspended and won't appear at the PPV. I wonder where he may end up. Considering what Brucie said about him in the past, I would be kinda surprised to see him end up in WWE but you never know, and considering how dull he is inside the ring, I don't have any interest in watching him in AEW (he's a former Jarrett guy, yikes), especially since when he's not doing his NWA touring World Champ cosplay gimmick, he's never showcased much of anything (he's a really good promo, but then the bell rings and such). The Thread Killer
Aldis has claimed for years that Tony Khan told him there will always be a spot for him in AEW if he wants. And I certainly hope that Khan does sign him, because the AEW roster is getting dangerously thin. They don’t have nearly enough talent under contract right now. Realistically, I would expect him to show up in either Impact or MLW. I’m sure it is creatively fulfilling to work there, but that don’t pay the bills. If I was a pro wrestler looking for work and had a family to provide for, I can’t imagine Impact would be the first place I would call. And Aldis has young children to feed. If I had no financial constraints and just wanted to be creatively satisfied and work in a positive atmosphere, that is a different story, obviously. Mind you, I seem to remember hearing Aldis also had heat with Scott D’Amore, come to mention it. I get the impression Aldis is a difficult person to work with. This guy has gone on Twitter and done interviews burying the company he works for over the last few months, I can’t imagine that will endure him to perspective future employers much. sek69
This certainly seems like an everyone kinda sucks situation, but considering Billy keeps shitting on women's wrestling and Mickie James was the driving force behind the Empower PPV I can kind of get why Aldis is pissed at him. El-P
So, Cain Velasquez, who's facing charges for attempted murder, is allowed by the judge to work the AAA's December event, as he requested. That's pretty unique.
Dale Wolfe
It is unique but i believe he has to pay the wages of his own police escort? To be fair to Cain he was also chasing down a lad who molested his son. So in that regard it is a different sort of crime really

El-P
Indeed. Also, fun fact : most of the people defending vigilantism are the same exact crowd that complain about "Twitter & social media tribunal" whenever women publicly speak of sexual abuse and drop names. Funny how it works : men with guns shooting in public = "I would have done the same thing !"; women speaking out with keyboards = "Hey, presumption of innocence is so important, go to the justice or shut up". So yeah, I get why he would get some sympathy. But what he did was horribly wrong. Allowing him to take part in a spectacle where he'll get applauded and cheered (probably also *because* of what he did, in this case) is really not a good signal to send, at all.
