Ending was great & left a good cliffhanger for RAW. Problem will be if they do the whole "you're fired unless you win the Royal Rumble" gimmick, or make him #1 in the Rumble. That will get any good will he had from the crowd tonight when the show ended to be completely erased.

Watched the pre-show match. Thought it was pretty good up till after the not-Bank Statement by Sasha then it fell apart at the end. On the pre-match stuff, if you read Sasha's twitter it's clearly something B.A.D. made up not sabotage by backstage types. They should make #Snatched an on air thing because it's entertaining and actually heelish.

Have him win the title at the Rumble and continue to be an unstoppable force. Authority brings in Brock as the only man who can stop him and there's your Wrestlemania rematch.

IMO the key with Reigns is not to have him be the underdog against the Authority but to have him run through them for a while until they get really desperate and go nuclear.

Ending angle was great, but it was almost like Roman was turning heel by how the announcers were growing increasingly sickened by his actions as the beatdown went on. JBL was almost full Ed Whelen by the end.

I'm just hoping that Raw isn't going to be a three hour emasculation-fest, or worse HHH showing up unscathed to open the show.

This is the first PPV in a long time I'm actually going to watch. I expect Reigns/Sheamus to be a really good match with a shitty finish that will make me not watch anything until the Rumble.

Reigns & Sheamus freaking killed each other and had a really awesome match only to end with a shitty League of Nations run in. What a shock. Reigns going crazy at the end doesn't make up for the fact that they continue to pull the rug out from under him. I suspect they'll deny him a rematch with Sheamus and he'll have to win the Rumble to get another title shot, which he'll do and it will get shit on again.

This is what I hope will happen. Roman getting another Rumble win is just going to make the crowd crap on him some more. Have him win the title next month and have Lesnar win the Rumble match. I'd say save the HHH/Roman match for the post-'Mania season.

Wisest thing to do tonight is have Reigns fired at the start of the show and not come in until the end of the show. He's a guy who always enters through the crowd anyway, so it makes sense for him to emerge that way and attack Sheamus (who I'd assume was in the main event). Saves him having to cut a promo and playing a brooding lone-wolf vigilante outsider would be his best possible character evolution right now.

If they're going to go that route, have him fired or suspended off screen and not come out for a long opening interview segment. Then when he comes out at the end, the crowd wouldn't have seen him for the whole show and they'd be excited and ready to.

I'd find him doing the Randy Savage sits in a chair in the middle of the ring and destroys people opening acceptable too.

I've seen lots of kudos for Kalisto's crazy move off the ladder, and they're well-deserved. But I find it kinda funny that nobody's praising Jey Uso for taking the move. Especially since Kalisto had NO leverage at the top of that ladder, he wasn't "jumping" at all, Jey pretty much had to use sheer muscle and hoist the dude up and backwards all by himself.

I know I get into fantasy booking a fair amount which isn't everyone's cup of tea but IF THEY ARE SMART it's easy.

Raw #1: Stephanie opens the show with the big promo. Roman you're fired, you'll never work here again, if you set foot in this building I'll have you arrested etc. HHH shouldn't even be in the show because he's "in the hospital". Main event can be anything involving Sheamus, it really doesn't matter. League of Nations vs the FBI. Anyway, Sheamus is in the ring setting up for the finish, Roman (with no music/fanfare) jumps the guardrail, spears Sheamus, spears Rusev, spears whoever. DQ. Stephanie comes out with like 20 cops who all hit the ring, Roman takes off into the crowd, Show goes off the air with Roman posing with fans.

Raw #2: Stephanie cuts another similar promo, Triple H comes out, released from hospital and (since we know he has to look strong) says, you know what Steph, Roman's not fired. I want Roman at the Rumble, I'm gonna beat his ass, I'm using my authority to reinstate him at the Royal Rumble, if I win he's FIRRRRRED etc etc.

Again, I'm not stupid, I know this company can still mess this up, but I really think last night's show went about as well as can be expected in terms of giving them a really clearly laid out path that if thiey follow both makes sense in wrestling logic and can be pretty entertaining as your lead to Wrestlemania.

If he can still go, why does it matter unless you're planning to have sex with him?

My biggest issue with him is the same issue I had with Daniel Bryan (whom is not fat at all) - he just looks like a normal dude. Not just because of his crazy beer gut but because of his awful beard & terrible ring attire too. It's like he's trying to go out of his way to not look like a star. Seriously, he's wrestling in basketball shorts, like he's still getting $20 a night in front of 50 people.

I don't grasp why anyone would pay money to see normal dudes. Where's the draw? We're in a weird era where everyone seems to be all about workrate (both fans and wrestlers) but the ratings are going down every week & no one on the roster feels like a star.

I do think that it is more a mentality that was instilled into me from the WWF 1980's style shows though, where I like wrestlers that are larger-than-life, or guys you wouldn't run into at the store while out shopping. I'm not clamoring for a return to a roster of a bunch of jacked-up, steroid-abusing Warlord type wrestlers either, of course. It's not like guys like Harley Race or Terry Funk were body guys. I just never questioned their toughness though. Kevin Owens, I just can't buy him as a wrestler. I can't buy Dolph as one either though & he's in really good shape. It just feels like they don't care about coming off as stars & WWE doesn't care to present them as stars. Everything about Kevin Owens is just super generic. His theme song is generic, his ring entrance, his merchandise, his "KO" logo, everything.

So for me, it's not so much that he's fat, it's the overall presentation. But if he is getting bigger, that shows, to me, a lack of dedication to his job, which would probably be frowned upon by management.

People criticizing Owens for not being in the same shape he was in NXT really are clueless about how hard dieting is and how much harder it becomes with the demands of the road. When he was in NXT, he was in the same city 99% of the time, got to sleep in his own bed, could work out at the world class Performance Center daily, etc. Much easier to maintain a consistent nutritional program in that scenario. Now that he's on the main roster, he's in a different city every night, has to find a different gym that may or may not be great (and very few, if any, will come close to the Performance Center), and the only restaurant that may be open after the show is Denny's, Waffle House, or some other grease pit along those lines. You can still make reasonable food choices at places like that, but healthy options are so much more limited.

Before anyone says something stupid like "But [muscular wrestler inserted here]..." and lists a bunch of gym rats on the roster who have muscles popping out of their muscles, it's not a fair comparison. They were never fat, which cannot be underestimated. Also, they probably have better genetics on their side and may or may not be aided by "vitamins" that Owens obviously isn't taking.

Did anyone else catch Renee Young on the kickoff show saying "I hope it was diet soda," when they were recapping the Raw angle? I wonder if she was fed that line. Either way, I knew he was losing the title after that.

Not to mention Owens being forced to say the line that he drinks soda and eats popcorn every day - which is basically the same as saying, "I'm a fat hog, and I admit it." This company is terrible.

and Triple H tweeted #GAMEON with a picture of Roman beating him up, which likely means we are getting no injury selling, and a 20 minute opening promo chalk full of screechy Steph and Super Serious Hunter, followed by a 4 on 1 handicapped match against the foreign group for Reigns.

Because you know....THE GAME!!!

That should nicely undo everything that last night did for him.

Because everyone turned on the Usos sometime in July or August last year after their awesome Battleground match against Harper & Rowan, which was better than any tag title match that didn't involve them from this year, for some Godforsaken reason.

It did coincide with Stardust's debut and the formation of the Dust Brothers, too, which was exciting at the time until Cody decided to just be the absolute least valuable guy on the roster. Most of those people still love Stardust, though!
