Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?

I watched that video and couldn't help but notice that TNA, in all its inherent TNAness, can't even do something good like this video package, without screwing it up, saying that Joseph Park was on the TNA team in the cage match when he isn't.

I got tickets for Lockdown this weekend so I went to the TNA website to see what matches were on the card. I don't have high hopes for the PPV except for the Bully Ray match because it is Bully Ray but the B4B video on this page was a pretty strong sell for the show...

The Before the Bells TNA do are generally always really good. Pretty much the best piece of TV that company ever produces. Whenever I catch one it always makes me excited to see the show.

Then I watch the show and it is...TNA.

Loss started this thread nearly 6 and a half years ago. That's a lifetime in pro wrestling. Companies have risen and fallen in that time. And in that time, most of them, either hit a creative and/or financial peak. TNA has managed neither.

They just exist, thanks to their money mark!

What a waste!

Did anyone watch Impact and see the Rampage debut and "confrontation" with Angle? Also, Mike Tenay may be in contention for worst announcer in history; Bully Ray is screaming in the guy's face and he's looking at him as if he's deciphering a Magic Eye picture, just so awful.

I haven't watched TNA in ages but one of their trademarks when I did was this weird thing where a wrestler would say something and the announcers would instantly repeat it.

Samoa Joe: "I'm going to take out Kurt Angle."

Tenay: "I heard Samoa Joe say he's planning to take out Kurt Angle."

Gee, you heard that? So did every other fucking person watching the show.

It had to be some sort of decree from their creative forces at the time, because it was almost like a running gag. I don't know if they still do that, but I'd hope not.

I honestly think I could watch TNA and like it if they had better announcers. But I refuse to listen to Tenay. It's kind of disappointing how they've tried to get rid of pretty much anyone connected to Jeff Jarrett but kept Tenay around.

I joked a long time ago that I thought TNA was like the undead combination of WCW and ECW leftovers.

It is exactly what it is. Over the past few years, I've watched the entire TV product of both ECW, SMW and WCW (almost). The only logical follow-up for me should be to dwelve into TNA. Either that, or going into wrestling rehab.
